  1. It was ICT fans that sang that one, about 7 years ago! (We stopped when Johnboy complained :004: ) If Hearts fans sang it at all, I suspect they switched a couple of the words around.
  2. I recall in an outdoor restaurant in Turkey a "wasp boy" providing a similar service. He got a good tip and everyone went home happy. Apart from the wasps......
  3. I like it Scotty - looks like a classic prog rock album of the type Mantis plays up the A9, but ending rather curiously with a Tina Turner cover! My band is Viper Falcon, who have just released their opus Madelung Equations. Album highlights include Cheese Culture, Ant Network, and of course Manikonda Chalaputhi Rau.
  4. Many thanks everyone, I'll pass on your thoughts, wit and sarcasm to the recuperating Mrs Y when I go back to see them in the morning. But OMG, if you had seen what I had seen...... :010: More than any football match you can imagine it really was painful to watch, horrific in fact, and it certainly ended in injury time. But a great result to celebrate. :crazy07: We now have the cutest wee girl. We decided to avoid any ICT/DUFC bias so chose a name with no football connotations, but I've just this very moment realised that a Hannah (David) played for Utd. :029: :015: She tricked me.......just like 9 months ago!

After watching yesterday's highlights, Mrs Y has just gone into labour week early. :crazy07: What do you reckon, Marius if it's a boy, Nicola if it's a girl? :004:
  6. When he went to celebrate the second, he showed a turn of pace we've never seen from him before! Having seen the highlights : 1) McGuire tugged Donaldson a wee bit, but it was outside the box. 2) Donaldson's subsequent shot MOSTLY crossed the line without a doubt, but it was impossible to see whether or not all of it did.
  7. Regarding earlier criticism of the officials, the radio commentators were very vocal that Hibs should have had a penalty 100% and McGuire should have seen red for it. 1-1 and clinging on with 10 men........the tone here tonight would have been much less positive!
  8. When did we last get 3 consecutive wins? Or 3 consecutive clean sheets?
  9. Team unchanged from last week.
  10. Would Ritchie Hart try a bit of line dancing? Or perhaps the Dashing White Sergeant? And our friends from Dingwall could do the Time Warp.
  11. Interesting to note that Vlad is through to the semis of Lithuania's equivalent of Strictly Come Dancing, after donning a kilt and doing a highland dance. It may be a while before he next reaches a semi-final. So who should appear in a Scottish version of the show? Jimmy Calderwood doing the tango?
  12. Yeah, confirmed on BBC. St J also have Collin Samuel on trial.
  13. Many congrats to you both. Can't you just feel the love on this website?! Who'll be next?
  14. Sophia, I would hazard a guess, is reference to the Greek word for "wisdom" rather than the poster's name. Or could it be the Sophia in philosophy/religion? "A Feminine figure, analogous to the human soul but also simultaneously one of the Feminine aspects of God and the Bride of Christ, she is considered to have fallen from grace in some way, in so doing creating or helping to create the material world. In Gnostic tradition, the term Sophia refers to the final and lowest emanation of God." This might explain a few things. But I'm sure Sophia will be along soon enough to enlighten us.......as usual! :004:
  15. Excuse me, I AM him. I just choose not to flaunt my "celebrity fan" status. :music05:
  16. Interesting way of announcing it! No real surprise though.
  17. SMEE, what Scotty actually said was : which does not cast any aspersions at all on the people who had legitimate posts removed. The rules of this forum do not tolerate racism, and anyone who has spent any time at all here knows that this is strictly enforced. At this stage I should also remind people of the rule against "back seat moderating".
  18. There was a time when I'd be at a gig like that right down the front, jumping up and down throughout. Last night I managed about 3 jumps and then thought "Ooh, ma knees!" :029:
  19. Great gig, RiG. Manics played a few variations from that set list tonight. We didn't get Enola or Rendition, but did get Kevin Carter and Suicide is Painless. And "Masses..." was certainly not acoustic! They have improved with age, helped by a tremendous songbook to draw upon. Just worked out that it's 17 years since I first saw them live (yes I'm gonna be one of those "I saw them before they were famous" bores!). Mind you they had some bloke called Ritchie in the band back then , whatever happened to him?!
  20. I think Burnley paid St J something approaching ?200k to get him. Given that he has taken his team several steps backwards this season and pretty much eliminated them from the title race already, that's a good bit of business for Saints. Good to see him doing well though, he's one of the guys we all respected, even when he was banging in goals against us with annoying regularity.
  21. At games, if we are performing badly, I express my dissatisfaction through silence. I've never once booed our team or shouted "you're rubbish" (or any other such adjective) to any ICT player, even when I'm thinking it. I do however think that people who choose to put themselves in the public eye (be it politicians, footballers, actors, company directors) know that their performances are going to be subject to harsh scrutiny, and are perhaps not suited to their job if they can't take it. Sticks and stones.......
  22. It's a fair subject to discuss. Other threads were in reference to specific incidents and players, and got bogged down in detail rather than the issue of a supporter's right to express their views, or otherwise. Let's distinguish between 3 forms of criticism. 1) You think it. 2) You express it to your pals at the game, or in the pub, or on here. 3) You express it directly to the player in question. I know where I draw the line, but I would defend the right of any paying customer to do 3) if that's what they want to do.
  23. Well I hope they have something left for Edinburgh tomorrow night!
  24. Was hearing that this one's a late call off due to a failed fitness test. Nae luck if you travelled to it.
  25. His overall contribution so far has not been bad, but it certainly doesn't merit him earning more than the rest of our first team. Not great value for money so far, and I get less and less confident that he ever will be. But we've got him, and he's got a binding contract!
