Scottish League Cup 2023-24 - Draw
I was thinking the same but just looked it up and it was actually 2009/10. The season we overhauled Dundee to win the title, Airdrie finished bottom. We got 3 wins and a draw against them.

ICTFC Squad Update 21/22/23/
Yeah I did some googling on Shaw and couldn’t find any reliable mention of contract term anywhere. I’d forgotten we got him from AFC Fylde - a good bit of recruitment, finding a bit of a gem way down the pyramid. We’ll need more like that this summer.

Me too, but it wouldn’t surprise me if Cammy wanted to move on, it must be very frustrating being a back-up keeper for years on end and hardly ever getting a game. There are some at big clubs who do it for years and put up with it because they are getting paid a fortune but I suspect Cammy is on peanuts.

ICTFC Squad Update 21/22/23/
Latest club statement. I guess anyone out of contract and not on this list is not getting an offer? The club confirm that new contracts have been offered to the following players; Billy Mckay (Billy’s existing contract included an additional year option in the player’s favour and this option was triggered a number of weeks ago by his appearances this season) Scott Allardice Danny Devine Austin Samuels Ethan Cairns Robbie Thompson Harry Hennem

Not sure how I feel about that actually. Pleased for him, great servant and all that, still has skill and vision, but with his age and lack of pace he can only ever be a bit part player with an ever diminishing contribution.

ICTFC Squad Update 21/22/23/
That’s a helluva strong statement from the club, clearly very peed off about misrepresentation of the facts and by the willingness of fans and other media to latch on to it and assume it to be all true just because a bitter ex-player tweeted it. An unsightly war of words that doesn’t look good on anyone involved, but perhaps the only way the club could have prevented it would have been to keep paying Shane to sit in the treatment room for another year?

ICTFC Squad Update 21/22/23/
Disappointed that Shane is not getting an extension but it is presumably because of his injury rather than his ability. A club that loses an underlying £0.8m a year needs to cut costs and I guess we just can’t keep paying for wages, rehabilitation costs and potentially further operations for players who aren’t playing. We did all that for a year for Sutherland and Walsh too, who I’d imagine will suffer a similar fate.

How Many Grounds
Add some point we might get to visit the new Lesser Hampden if it ever gets finished, but in the meantime QP are going back to Hampden next season.

When did we play at Newtongrange?

Best of luck to them, they always tried hard when given the chance. But both will be completely forgotten by the time next season starts.

Poll - Dodds contract extension
Not necessarily, it depends on the terms of the contract.

ICTFC Squad Update 21/22/23/
When Walsh was on the podcast a couple of months ago, the setbacks and lack of progress after a year was all very disheartening, it left me thinking that his career was over. Hopefully it’s not, but it didn’t sound like he’ll be able to even start light training any time soon.

ICTFC Squad Update 21/22/23/
Full statement from ICT. When Robbie Deas joined us from Celtic three years ago, few ICT fans would have known that much about him. It wasn’t a straightforward deal because Robbie still had a year left in his Celtic contract and without Robbie’s determination to come to ICT, the deal would not have been completed because other teams were trying to sign him, most in the central belt. Robbie made 113 appearances for the club and scored 2 goals. Since joining us in the Highlands he has been a consummate professional and a joy for John Robertson, Neil McCann and Billy Dodds to work with. We turned down several offers for Robbie because we wanted to get to the Premiership and as far as we could in the Cup and his professionalism shone through because he was never less than 100% committed to our cause. His broken leg undoubtedly had a huge influence on our progress this season and while we are all sorry to see him go, he goes with our best wishes and utmost respect. Now that the historic and completely focused Scottish Cup Final effort is behind us, we will give further updates re the players and coaches contractual situations in the next couple of days but suffice to say, good work and progress has been made behind the scenes.

Scottish Cup Final build up
What an utter bellend that Celtic fan was, suddenly becoming billy big balls because Celtic were about to beat a mid table Championship side. Stewards were too slow to deal with it, it took the female ones to go in and drag him out. I don’t condone violence but perhaps the 2nd best moment of the day was when one of our fans punched him, he was really asking for it and actually got off lightly.

And also, I’ve been on Betfair and backed us at 55/1. 55/1!

My expectations of a win are extremely low - having said that, I’ve just stuck a bottle of champagne in the fridge, just in case!

Scottish Cup Final build up
Big day has arrived. For most of our players this is the biggest occasion they will ever experience and the largest crowd they will play in front of. All we can ask is that they play their best and give their all, so that they can look back on this with pride.

Scottish Cup Final build up
Is this the biggest game in our history? On the footballing side, a win gives us 8 European matches including 6 at group stages. Financially, that brings in £millions, clears our debt and puts cash in the bank, thus securing our future for a few more years. And all this would enable us to retain our best players and attract a higher calibre of new recruits.

But if we win, Spurs will move for Dodds instead. 😀

Mine arrived a few days later. Yours sound very much lost. Phone the club.

If our ticket sales are 6,000, I’m trying to remember, would this be the 3rd largest gathering of ICT fans (after the cup finals in 2015 and 2014)?

In what way do you thing it is wrong? I don’t know if it is correct either but is seems reasonably credible, built up from the published prize money of each tournament.
