  1. Erm, isn’t it the board that has been digging deep into their own pockets and preventing the club from going bust on several occasions over the last year or two? And you want rid of them?! Im pretty sure most of them would love to step back and are only there out of a sense of duty and love for the club. The time to ask them to go is the time when there is a better alternative waiting to step in. But there isn’t.
  2. Can you specify precisely what? Otherwise it’s pointless. ”What do we want? Something! When do we want it? Now!”

That’s 5 defeats in a row. All by just 1 goal, but that’s not a great deal of comfort.

No, it’s absolutely not the role of a scout to decide what we need. He should get told what we need and then needs to find someone to fit the bill.

Well he’s clearly not required to work on Saturdays!

Scott Gardiner once explained Robbo’s role on the podcast, think it was about a year ago. The role did not involve any involvement with the squad or any matchday duties, I recall it was all about development/commercial projects and scouting. Whether the role and responsibilities are the right ones for the club is another discussion, but I’d say it was at least explained.

The club has loads of employees who won’t be at our game today, only the playing, coaching and relevant support staff are required to travel. If Robbo is on a Mon-Fri 9-5 contract then I guess he can do whatever he wants on his days off, and he chooses to do a bit of media work. The optics aren’t good though and I’d rather our sporting director showed a bit more commitment to the club and travelled with them a bit more. He shouldn’t be forced to, he should want to.

Don’t worry, if we lose, the forum will come alive with the usual suspects going into meltdown!

Like last week, I put this one in the “take a draw” category. Away from home against one of the league’s better sides, we have injuries (Welsh is a big miss in particular), and the team is still getting into its stride.
  10. Noting that the concert company was also a separate entity from the club, that’s a screeching u-turn you’ve made on the club being responsible for separate but connected entities!
  11. Most games this season will be decided by fine margins. Even though QP might have had a better style of play and more possession (for which the manager and his tactics can be held to account), the result still came down to a small number of key moments, including errors by our players at both ends of the pitch. If a couple of touches had been better for we could be having a completely different kind of post-match discussion.
  12. You might want to hide behind the sofa when it comes to some of our defending.
  13. “Highlights” now online
  14. Equaled our goal scoring record - we lost Became our all time top scorer - we lost 250th appearance - we lost Presentation for setting goal scoring record - we lost This wasn’t in the script for these great achievements. ☹️
  15. Yeah the way Dodds instructs the defenders to make basic errors is something that he needs to change. A better manager would ask them to defend properly instead!
  16. Luis Longstaff v Louis Longridge. I’d rather have a long staff than a long ridge.
  17. Whilst we need to win home games like this if we are going to reach the playoffs, I think I’d settle for a draw today if it was offered, and I think the visitors would be happy with that too. Based on league cup results and performances, and injuries too, our team just doesn’t look ready for the season to start. Either that or we are actually just one of the worst teams in the league…in which case I’d definitely take a draw!
  18. I was assuming that the Ajax coaches were over here to learn from Dodds. 😀
  19. Dan MacKay has been loaned out to Livi by Hibs.
  20. Well done. It’s a much lengthier and professional report than I was expecting!
  21. Mid table. It’s an increasingly tough league and realistically, making the playoffs is the best we can hope for. This squad isn’t good enough to get promoted, even if you replaced Dodds with Pep Guardiola. Dundee Utd will win the league, getting through as many managers as it takes to do so. I can see Arbroath finishing bottom, but there will be a few decent mid table teams looking nervously over their shoulders and it can’t be ruled out that we might be one of them.
  22. There are certainly things for us to be very concerned about and this will undoubtedly be a tough season, but the way some fans have been wetting their knickers and reaching dramatic conclusions from the results achieved by understrength and experimental teams in our pre-season phase…
  23. An unsurprising defeat away to a Premier league side. 1-0 not too bad considering this was by no means our strongest side, but the injury list is a bit concerning.
  24. Good of you to elaborate on your feelings. However, IMO, your logic is all over the place.
  25. Inter Club Escaldes are not even the best side in Andorra. In fact they are not even the best side in the village of Escalades!
