  1. So, teams that want us to lose: Celtic, Aberdeen, Hearts, Hibs, County Teams that want us to win: Pretty much everyone else?
  2. Whilst it is of little relevance now, I’d still like to point out that we finished 3rd (2014/15) our GD was +10, and we also finished with 8 more points than this season’s third place side!
  3. FT 5-0 to Celtic against the 3rd best team in the Premier. But playing the 6th best team from the Championship will be a different proposition altogether! 😬
  4. Sportscene pundits tonight not really acknowledging the possibility that we could win and claim the European spot. Even our former manager Neil McCann saying, of Aberdeen, “The money the are going to get from the group stages…”
  5. Was just having a look at the bookies odds for the final. 20/1 for the ICT win, no real surprise with that. ICT to win 1-0 is 70/1, whereas Celtic to win 7-0 is only 45/1. And if you fancy us to repeat our famous 3-1 win it’s 200/1, the same odds as Celtic winning 11-0. Fair to say that the odds are against us!
  6. Try on BBC iplayer, View from the Terrace, it was on the 31 March episode.
  7. They are both saying “Nice to meet you, whoever you are”
  8. A friendly away to Dungannon Swifts has been arranged for Saturday 20th.
  9. Ticket info from the club about tomorrow’s general release includes the following: Supporters must either have an account registered with the club before 1st April 2023, or those who bought tickets for our Semi Final against Falkirk may also purchase tickets by coming in-store.
  10. Wow, I wasn’t expecting that. Meanwhile Billy Dodds is manager of the month, again!
  11. The cull is going to have quite an impact on the squad too.
  12. And in the critical last 3 games, they have conceded 5, 4 and 4. Ouch indeed.
  13. Could the club not have a couple of days, after the season ticket holder priority sales phase, where they sell to people who are on the club’s database ie they’ve bought ICT tickets before?
  14. Was just thinking, the players get all these awards, but how about one for club officials? Poll options would be: 1. Scot Gardiner 2. Leeann Dempster 😀
  15. First time in these 6 championship seasons that we don’t have any players in this team of the year. To be honest I don’t think I would disagree too much with that outcome, especially as good players like Deas and Allardyce missed large parts of the season to injury. I’d guess that Billy Mckay might be the ICT player with most votes.
  16. As voted for by the players in the Championship.
  17. Some are looking up record cup final defeats, whilst others are looking up where the 2024 Europa League Final will be played. (It’s Dublin!)
  18. I’d hazard a guess at Celtic equalising through a controversial penalty and red card in the 14th minute of injury time, then going on to win comfortably in ET. But it’s your dream, so I think you get to write the ending.
  19. I suspect it was all done before the semi-final.
  20. For the young player, Shaw has obviously had a great 2nd half of the season with goals and assists. But Cameron Harper has had a good season too, establishing himself as a first team regular, with 40 starts - only Carson has more. He’s looked increasingly assured at left back as well as being surprisingly useful when played further up the park, chipping in with some very important and well struck goals. I know I’m not the only one who had doubts as to whether he’d make it at this level but he’s progressed really well.
  21. So, with the competitive fixtures we had in mind for the rest of May no longer happening, what does the team do for the next 4 weeks? Teams have no interest in playing friendlies at this time of year. They are either finished up and on holiday, or playing their final league or playoff fixtures. Falkirk had the same problem in 2015. The only way they could get opposition was to travel down south and play Swansea’s youth team, and I recall they won by some ridiculous score. Not the best preparation. Even more unsuitable when you consider that we are up against a team full of international quality. How do we prepare for that?
  22. Good grief!
  23. Occasional flashes of the talent that earned him a move to Hibs, but on the whole I think his contribution has been below what we all expected or hoped for. I’d still keep him on if we could get him on reasonable terms, he’s got something, and should be able to give us more at Championship level then we’ve seen in those stats..
  24. Iain Vigurs has helped Cove Rangers earn a place in League One.
