I’d never seen it either, didn’t know it existed! They fail regarding communication and regular consultation with fans and Caley Jags Together. The rest of it they seem to be fully or substantially meeting, as far as I can see.

I suppose that depends on whether it happens or not. You make regular references to broken promises- I’d be interested in seeing your list.
  3. Yes of course - so we’ve played 5 Sc Cup semi- final matches. Only won one of them, but we were underdogs in every one of them, famously beating Celtic (again) and being unsuccessful in the ones that were against teams a league above us. We do of course have a 100% win rate in Scottish Cup Finals.
  4. But seriously, it’s a good question. Hard to see them featuring much if it all, given how long it takes to get fully match fit from the point they get back into training. Maybe a few sub appearances if they are up to it.
  5. Bring them on in the 120th minute of the cup final to take penalties.
  6. As the other 6 sides battle it out over the next 2 days for a place in the semis, it’s great having that smug feeling that our name is already in the hat!
  7. Kilmarnock haven’t reached the Scottish cup semi finals since 1997.. This is our 5th in 20 years! 4 of them when we were in the 2nd flight!
  8. Ridgers was guilty of a couple of handling errors tonight, but that effort was not over the line and he was absolutely right to carry on.
  9. I think the 800 Killie fans will be going home very disappointed - their team came out all guns blazing for the first 5 minutes, then offered next to nothing. We were really good but they were poor.
  10. Great performance by the whole team. In fact Gary Lineker has just tweeted that we reminded him of 1930’s Germany.
  11. Our midfield dominated theirs. Allardyce my MOM.
  12. Yesssss! 2-1 FT. Thoroughly deserved win, well done ICT. Great noisy support too.
  13. I’m struggling to remember us starting a match so badly, in that first 5 minutes we couldn’t do anything right. Got better since then.
  14. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/64251079 BBC article on Scott Kellacher’s serious health scare, and Scot Gardiner’s too. I don’t recall much being said in public about these before.
  15. “Not proven” verdict, despite a reported confession to police, wads of money and all the text messages. BBC report that “the jury accepted Mr Hester's claim during the trial, that he got caught up in the moment during the match and forgot about any agreement to deliberately get booked.”

Depreciation was only £178k of the costs. As for cash flow, ‘only’ £40k was advanced by directors in the year under review. The rest of the cash loss of about £0.6m was funded, as others have pointed out earlier, by not paying suppliers and HMRC as promptly as we used to. You can build up arrears like that as a short term solution to cash flow but you can’t really play that card more than once otherwise the arrears increase to a level that creditors can no longer tolerate, leading eventually to a winding up order from someone. So it is likely that the directors are having to dig a lot deeper this season.
  17. Incidentally, ICT found the money for the squad to travel down yesterday and stay overnight.

The key message from Scot Gardiner’s appearance was that times are tough financially but there is “no danger” of us going bust. He stated that he is more concerned about performances on the pitch.
  19. Great result, well done ICT.

SG will be a guest on Sportsound this afternoon, discussing the financial pressures being faced by Scottish clubs and the loss of income the game is suffering due to illegal streaming services. Hopefully there will be some insightful comment on ICT’s specific predicament too.

Well, 8 league matches in 2023 and only Hamilton could beat us, and we have progressed to the Cup QFs. Performances could and should be better but could also be much worse.

Yes it is often just simpler/cheaper to use an existing, dormant company and use it for a new purpose with a new name, rather than to set up a new company.

Eh? I don’t know anyone who thinks that. Surely our wage budget puts us mid table with a realistic aim of reaching the play-offs.

Idiots guide to the going concern stuff in the accounts: - The directors believe the club can survive for at least 12 months from now and have prepared cash flow forecasts that support that view. - The auditors reviewed those projections and the assumptions within them, and agree that the club can be considered a going concern. - However, they caveat this by drawing attention to ‘material uncertainty’ on this, because there is doubt as to whether the club will achieve its projections. This uncertainty could be, for example, because anticipated new income streams might be delayed or not materialise at all, or any of the other assumptions in the forecasts might fall a bit short and that could be sufficient to leave the club without enough money to meet its liabilities. This material uncertainty matter was in last years accounts too. - The auditors also noted that they understand that the directors will continue to provide financial support to the club when necessary. There is nothing to suggest that there are any binding commitments/guarantees from the directors though, but the directors would have to be very brave or stupid to do so, so that’s hardly a surprise.

No real surprises in the accounts - like walking into a hospital and not being surprised that it is full of people in poor health.
