v Arbroath - Trust Trophy
I think every game on this bad run has included a costly, stupid blunder by at least one of the players.

v Arbroath - Trust Trophy
Personally I’m glad to see squad players getting a chance and quite a few first team regulars being rested, as I don’t really care about this tournament (until the final, that’s different!) We’ve clearly gone with a strong defence though, in the hope that they can get to know each other a bit more.

When is enough is enough
I’ve thought that too for a long time, he’s there waiting in the wings as the most realistic (ie affordable) option.

Sadly though, the sporting fairies can only grant one wish per weekend and we’ve used ours up.

Proposed Supporters Bus Regulations
Yep, the consultation has been scrapped, as predicted.

Proposed Supporters Bus Regulations
Nobody wants this and it won’t happen. But it’s just bizarre. A proposed consultation from a transport organisation nobody has ever heard of, about introducing a voluntary code of practice that involves a club’s nominated person agreeing in advance that the supporters bus can stop at a specified pub? Who on earth thought this is a good idea?

At the other end of the pitch, nobody has scored fewer than us.

v Pars (home)
Looking at the league table, something surprised me - only 2 teams have conceded fewer goals than us, even though it’s the blunders at the back that have been costing us games.

What are you going to do?
So just a normal home game then.

Disappointing not to have held on to the lead.

ICTFC Squad Update 21/22/23/
Nikola Ujdur is certainly a more exotic (and more unpredictable) signing than we have been used to in these Championship years. Hopefully he gets his work visa! As far as I can recall the last time we brought someone over from Australia was about 20 years ago, a forward called Adriano Pellegrino who was on trial one summer but didn’t get an offer. He must’ve been good though, he went on to play for 20 different clubs!

I seem to remember Sam Pearson was doing pretty well too until his loan was cut short due to a close family bereavement.

ICTFC Squad Update 21/22/23/
Boyes actually seems a decent enough signing given the constraints we face, but he’s not the experienced and commanding Mann/Dods/Munro style of defender we’ve been longing for.

22 and Livingston but you were on the right lines!

What are you going to do?
There are some utterly mind boggling statements on this thread.

Sounds like that loan deal is very likely based on articles online today in the P&J and Courier.

v Airdrie away
The margins are so tight, all our defeats in this run have been by one goal. What seems increasingly obvious is that the defence is not strong enough and we need to make at least one signing, and that signing has to be someone who is better than what we currently have.

Even if we could sack Dodds and bring in the likes of Mourinho or Guardiola, they could not get this squad promoted.

Just like both our previous league matches, I had this down in the ‘take a draw’ category. Expected us to lose but thought we’d be more competitive than this score suggests.

ICTFC Squad Update 21/22/23/
It’s a shame he had so many injury problems here, he looked a decent defender when I saw him. Good luck at Gloucester. Does his departure make it more likely that we will bring in another defender?

Good to have our first trophy of the season 😀

SPFL TRUST TROPHY
Tougher draw than we would’ve liked for such an early round. Arbroath won’t be too happy either, other than being drawn at home.

Ex-ICT players' news
I see that due to a change in personal circumstances, Gary Warren won’t be able to play for Clach for the foreseeable future (but remains a signed player).

v Ayr United (A)
We lost our best defender and didn’t replace him. It’s inevitable that the defence is weaker than it was last season. And a year before that, we lost Broadfoot and replaced with relative inexperience. Oh to have a commanding central defender and leader on the pitch, in the vein of Mann or Dods.
