Utd have had 2 former ICT players as managers. Brewster won 3 from 30, Fox was less bad with 7 from 24. Oh, and in 2006 Billy Dodds was briefly caretaker manager and had 100% win rate! 😀

Looking increasingly likely that Dundee Utd will be in the Championship next season, and decreasingly likely that Liam Fox will be their manager much longer.

It’s not a bad result in isolation. The Hamilton games are the ones that seem to have put the (promotion) play-offs out of realistic reach.

If Dodds doesn’t turn things around really quickly he might not retain his Manager of the Month award.

Not to excuse the manager altogether, but both these games against Hamilton have been characterised by numerous individual errors which caused goals to be conceded and good scoring opportunities to be missed.

FFS that is another terrible result. What is it about Hamilton though? They have been the worst team team in the league but have won all 3 league matches against us. If we had won them we’d be 3rd in the league and just 3 points off top!

Abysmal result. Defeat was fairly predictable as we usually struggle against Hamilton - 3 wins for them in their last 4 trips here - but the margin of this defeat is an absolute shocker.

Could be worse. Not the money spinner that we desperately need, but maybe we’ll get that in the semis!

Livi haven’t reached the Scottish cup QFs in the last 18 years. ICT have made it that far in 6 of the last 10 seasons.

Pleasantly surprised to see Deas back in the squad so soon. We’ve really missed him.

Wish I was there but got a family event today. Being in this round is a bonus, we’re getting a free hit with nothing to lose. We’re up against a superior side who are in great form so the chances are we will lose, but you know what, this is the Cup and we are ICT!

Not that it really matters, but what is the official result of this cup tie? We do not appear to have been awarded a 3-0 win, so is the game nul and void or does the 0-2 result stand? The SFA site shows 0-2 but I’m not sure how much you can read into that.

The kind of game we need to be winning if we want to be in the playoffs. But also big sighs of relief after coming from behind twice against a team that normally beats us, and delighted for Cairns getting his first goal.

Anyone know howmuch extra prize money we get for making it through to the next round? I think it will be a 5 figure sum, much needed by the club.
