  1. I guess we can no longer blame our poor form on Carson’s absence.
  2. Yeah mine was atrocious. Only saw one of the 3 goals and it was especially bad in the 2nd half after they did something at HT to try and fix it.
  3. If recent form continues we are going to end up in the bottom half of the league and not even make the playoffs.
  4. 1-0 apparently but I missed the goal and various other parts of the match due to the stream repeatedly buffering.
  5. I’m not sure if even their German investors have deep enough pockets for that!
  6. According to Radio Scotland, Hughes isn’t taking the team today but will be at the game. I had to travel down through Fife this morning and saw the Dunfermline team bus heading north, must have set off at 8.30 which I thought was quite early for a 3pm kickoff.
  7. Yes, loan from October to January, He is recovering from injury.
  8. And Scotland only lost by 4 runs!
  9. Presumably they will make a margin on any copies they sell and that’s why they are doing it.
  10. Good question, but it’s not a great deal crazier than naming one team after a canal and another after a weed!
  11. The ship has sailed though in terms of commercialisation and Halloween is much more of a thing than it ever was. I’ve never seen so many houses and gardens decorated for it- not just this weekend but for the last couple of weeks.
  12. Maybe the hoards of kids going house to house should be shouting “Track and trace!”
  13. League goals from our strikers: 2 Sutherland 1 Mckay 0 Duku and Jamieson Meanwhile, Arbroath’s McKenna has 9, Partick’s Graham has 7 and there are 6 each for Raith’s Zanatta and Killie’s Shaw. I’m not really blaming our strikers, it’s not as if they are missing lots of sitters. The service to them has been pretty poor.
  14. Since last weekend we’ve seen a 7 point swing from us to Killie, who I would expect to pull further clear as the season progresses.
  15. Much improved performance, at least.
  16. There was a wee feature on him on A View from the Terrace in which he came across well. He mentioned that the moment which handed us the Scottish Cup was the lowest point in his career. Helpfully, the show’s producers showed the goal several times.
  17. I’ve had 2 pop ups since last night, on iPad / Safari. One just now when I clicked onto the next page number of a thread, although I haven’t been able to repeat it.
  18. It’ll be Jekyll. Hyde is on loan at Rothes.
  19. This leads me on to another thing that struck me last night. What does it say about Duffy when, given the choice between playing our only recognised right back or moving a central midfielder there, we’ve again opted for the latter?
  20. One things that has been apparent recently is that when opponents take the lead then set out to resolutely defend (Hamilton, Raith, Arbroath) we really struggle to break them down and create chances. It’s not as if their keepers have been making great saves or we’ve missed sitters, we just don’t create enough. Our potentially most creative players like Walsh, Doran, McGregor, have offered very little recently. Gardyne is the only one who looks a threat at the moment.
  21. I’d say first half red cards for 2 of our opponents was luck! Our failure to capitalise was to do with the team rather than misfortune.
  22. Totally. Free kick was nicely whipped in but it was an uncharacteristic blunder from the keeper. Edit to add - I don’t imagine that Carson at right back would have given away the free kick that the goal came from.
  23. I don’t think it is a coincidence that our winning run turned into this dismal run (starting with Hamilton away) when we lost Carson. Doesn’t bode well.
  24. How many of them would you need to drink to find positives in our performance?!
  25. P1sh all over the park. Bubble well and truly burst.
