  1. Interesting line up according to BBC….
  2. My daughter’s team beat Raith this morning too. Must be hard for those guys having 2 matches in one day!
  3. Another really good result. If we win all our games 1-0…….
  4. The adventures of Rooney and McCart at St Johnstone continue, with a trip to Istanbul for a great draw with Galatasaray. This comes just a few days after they played in Dingwall. So many “Welcome to Hell” signs in one week!
  5. Joel Nouble was certainly a handful, but was also quite predictable. I had to look him up, but he’s on loan from Livi who signed him from Aldershot. At the age of 25 he’s already had 15 moves including numerous loan spells. He’s also played international football for Cascadia in a non-FIFA World Cup!
  6. I thought both our central defenders did a great job today. Arbroath played a lot of balls into the box but barely got a sniff.
  7. Great feeling to start with a win, but a draw might have been the fairer result. An early conclusion from this and today’s other results is that all the teams in this league could be of a fairly similar standard.
  8. Most of our fans set up camp in the harbour end but then at kick off when they saw that Arbroath were attacking that end, most of their fans migrated to there too. So not much social distancing! They’ve changed ends now, as they always do here.
  9. Good vocal away support, the sun is shining and it’s not even blowing a gale here.

    Streaming

Ouch. Hopefully that includes a pie and a drink? I suppose last season’s £10 was cheaper than most other clubs, and also, the club doesn’t want people opting for the stream in preference to actually attending the match.
  11. Yeah thanks for the reminder. That one was a shocker. So many poor performances against part time sides in recent years. This season could be no different based on the League Cup.
  12. Just bought my ticket. Looking forward to first match since Alloa away almost 17 months ago. Hoping for a better result than that one…..
  13. Airdrie’s away kit
  14. A few months after retiring from playing at 29 and going into management in the Juniors, Lewis Toshney has signed for Edinburgh City.
  15. You kind of expect us to start badly then improve, but this season we started well in the first game and then got worse in each of the next two matches. Very odd.
  16. It’s not just 2 goals, all the other stats favour Cove too eg 61% possession in first half. Rather worrying.
  17. Ok, we’re not nearly as good as we perhaps thought we were. That wasn’t our strongest starting XI but big improvement still needed.
  18. Happy with that performance, very comfortable in midfield and defence. Two nice goals scored, and the only slight negative tonight was the sackload of missed chances. Great to have Tom Walsh back, what class, and Doran suddenly looks a few years younger and sharper.
  19. And seconds after I posted that, he gets in a good position and scores with a good finish!
  20. Duku certainly looks a handful, but I’m wondering if he’s one of those forwards who needs a lot of chances before he scores a goal. Gets in good positions, though.
  21. England are a very good side but as usual, the only thing coming home for them is disappointment.
  22. Home advantage and the match officials on their side, it seems! Modern day equivalent of a dodgy Russian linesman (Azerbaijani, actually) is a dodgy VAR official.
  23. I would strongly recommend this Robbo interview as essential listening for any ICT fan. Great insight into what’s been happening at the club since he returned, and during the Covid era in particular including openness about his personal circumstances and what the new role involves. And probably the easiest interview Riley will ever do, no need to ask questions, Robbo just talks and talks.
