  1. I think that’s 3 visits to Raith in a row where the home side had a red card (or two).
  2. Another indicator of how crazy this league is: we’ve struggled to score goals for most of this season but now find ourselves joint top scorers! The top 4 teams have all scored 41.
  3. I was hoping for a draw but I guess I’ll have to settle for a win.
  4. I wouldn’t call it a must win, a draw would not be a bad result.
  5. Nice to start a Saturday evening in a good mood, for the first time in ages!
  6. Post match interview was the usual predictable stuff, same every week. I’d love to see him being asked a difficult question about our dismal run but it never happens.
  7. As I was saying when the match started, I’d take a draw….
  8. Not for the first time recently, our shooting is absolutely pathetic.
  9. Would you take a draw? I would. Ten matches without a win, key players missing, away to a team who are above us on points per game. Point tonight then start the winning run next match.

There is an interview on BBC with our first manager Sergei Baltacha, who is originally from Mariupol.

FIFA usually makes decisions based on money rather than morality. If they don’t have the balls to make swift decisions like other sporting bodies have done (and even Eurovision!), then it might take pressure from sponsors who will not want their brand name appearing in the same shot as the Russian team.
  12. Just noticed today Lewis Jamieson is at Clyde now, and scored today. Radio Scotland incorrectly said today that he is on loan there from us, rather than from St Mirren.
  13. This season is ridiculous, it’s’ like nobody actually wants to win the league.
  14. And we were again missing a number of first team players and others were probably not quite ready.
  15. Well if you want to be positive, we didn’t lose, and we didn’t deserve to lose either.
  16. The Billy Mckay of old would have scored at least one of his chances tonight, surely.
  17. We are poor again, but gotta be happy to be still in it at 1-1. And if Doran hadn’t missed a sitter just before Person scored, we’d be 2-1 up!
  18. If watching turns out to be yet another miserable ordeal to endure, then at least it won’t have cost me £15 this time!
  19. Happy memories there Manny. Who played the ball in from the right, my mind’s gone blank.
  20. It nearly always means sacked, and the mutual consent bit just means that they have agreed an amount of compensation for being sacked.
  21. For that type of football I’d go: Brown, Mann, Robson, Charlie, Bingham, Juanjo
  22. When I watched Peterhead v Dundee recently I was impressed with their midfield and the ease with which they could pass the ball on the deck through the Dundee midfield to create attacks - better than we would have done. I was thinking in terms of players we could sign, rather than the manager, but I suppose he deserves credit for the style of play.

What was the background to the situation, if you don’t mind me asking? My daughter’s team were due to be playing Thistle Girls this month but it got postponed.
  24. That’s all I could find too. Is it odd that the club captain is unexpectedly not in the match day squad and there seems to have been no explanation?
