Kelty Hearts (A): Premier Sports Cup: 9 July
Thought the ref missed an awful lot by the way, for both sides. How on earth did Carson not get a yellow for his deliberate handball? Not sure what he was thinking, palming away a high ball that was sailing out for a throw in a few yards behind him?

Kelty Hearts (A): Premier Sports Cup: 9 July
Yeah Boyd exceeded my expectations. Was playing left midfield (until he briefly replaced Doran as the 10) and certainly worked hard, got stuck in and was tidy enough with the ball, even if he isn’t an out and out winger in the traditional sense.

Good effort. I recognise the efforts put in by a small number of individuals and have joined this week. I hope others do too.

Kelty Hearts (A): Premier Sports Cup: 9 July
We were slightly better than a solid but unspectacular side, certainly in terms of possession. But it was Kelty who actually had most of the good chances, especially in the early stages of the 2nd half, and they really should have been in front but thanks to some good saves and poor finishing it stayed level. As the 2nd half progressed we look far more likely to score, Billy came closest with the glancing header which came back off the post, and in the last minute I was mightily relieved to see no flag raised as Oakley was played through on goal, after we had been caught offside countless times during the match. Good result in the end, a win’s a win, but we are certainly not firing on all cylinders yet going forward with a distinct lack of good final ball or shot.

ICTFC Squad Update 21/22/23/
I’d love to be able to share your optimism on that. We’ve lost some of last season’s best players - Broadfoot, Chalmers and McAlear, as well as Sutherland and Walsh looking unavailable for most of the season. We’ve replaced them with largely unknown, untested and inexperienced players. I very much hope it all works out and the team gels into a good unit, but our best chance is perhaps that the overall standard of this league continues to get deteriorate.

2015 Cup Final
Although I still maintain that Watkins should have passed! 😀

No ICT fan will ever tire of seeing the winning goal.

2022 Friendlies
We were 3-0 up after 11 minutes, and 5-1 up at HT. Saints clearly didn’t start well and maybe didn’t have the right prematch preparation, with over an hour stuck in traffic/detour off the A9 leading to late kick off.

V Brora Rangers (pre-season)
PSF? Even googled it, found dozens of options but none made sense!

V Brora Rangers (pre-season)
Zak Delaney, George Oakley and A.N. Other?

V Clach (pre-season)
Nice easy start and good to be scoring goals, but we need competitive matches. I hope and expect that Brora will be much tougher opponents.

New ICT Away Strip for 2022
I took ‘bespoke’ to mean it is not just from the manufacturer’s catalogue of standard shirt designs, implying it’s been customised in some way at our request (and not just for the badge).

New ICT Away Strip for 2022
It’s a belter.

Reece McAlear has joined Tranmere on a 2 year deal. Still only 20, I think his long term future ought to be at a higher level than League Two.

World Cup 2022
Is that when Scotland were last there too, or does it just feel like it?

Premier Sports Cup 2022/23
Looking forward to my first trip to Kelty though. Hope we do better there than St Johnstone did in the Scottish Cup.

Premier Sports Cup 2022/23
I can’t really blame Premier for ignoring this group, it’s not exactly appealing to the neutral and the combined support for all 5 teams is only a few thousand so hardly an opportunity to boost subscriber numbers.

It was on the day itself. (We won 2-0.)

Inverness CT -V- St Johnstone - Premiership Play-Off
Made myself sit through the highlights and yes, Chalmers totally loses his man and allows a free header. Great cross in though.

Inverness CT -V- St Johnstone - Premiership Play-Off
I thought Samuels put in a great shift by the way, he was a real handful. Carson and McAlear did a great job in midfield too.

Inverness CT -V- St Johnstone - Premiership Play-Off
I thought we had a great first half, playing the better football and winning every single 50:50 ball. The fear was that we had failed to score, and sure enough the game quickly turned, the deflected strike then knocking the stuffing out of us, what a sickener. We had no choice but to make changes as our players tired, but every substitution just made us weaker (except the arrival of Allardyce).

Will We Be Promoted?
I think we could but I can’t yet bring myself to believe that we actually will. If both teams play their best I think the premier side will have a bit too much quality. It might depend though on what they have learnt from the 2nd half on Friday and how they change tactics.
