  1. Think his long haired teammate (29) was a striker at Motherwell last season.
  2. FT 1-0. A narrow win but a big win!
  3. Top of the league! Long time since we’ve been able to say that. The top 22 of this 32 team league go through to the next round, so I suspect we already have enough points for that. Next target will be to be seeded for the next round.
  4. Was trying to think which other former players have done jail time. Riccardo Calder is the only one I can think of, given 9 months for assaulting a woman in a car park - the incident happened while he was with us and we terminated his contract when he was found guilty. Since getting out in 2019 he has had 7 clubs, mostly National League, the latest of which is Brackley Town.
  5. Noticed that Manny Duku is now at Tamworth - his 8th club since leaving us in 2022, and the 24th of his career. Aged 32 he still has time to get quite a few more and set some sort of record, surely!
  6. Oh dear, 1-2 FT Took the lead, dominated the game, lost. 🤷‍♂️

He’s been getting great reviews from pundits and from his manager this season.
  8. I emailed BBC and see the article has now been corrected.
  9. I’m hoping, perhaps expecting, that our home fans will see more wins this season than for many a year.
  10. Article on BBC today - how do you report an error to them?! Article written by the “BBC Highlands and Island Reporter” as well, oh dear. Edit to add that I have reported it to the error reporting emails address they publish. I resisted the temptation to query the claim that County successfully attract quality players!
  11. Never thought I’d see the day when ICT were playing Peterhead in the league and it was bottom v top!
  12. That was my first thought, but then I realised it would be 13 syllables (probably some sort of unwanted record!)

A classy and composed performance, at least until the substitutions. Hard to conclude on how good we actually are given that Kelty were a shadow of the side we have seen before, making loads of errors, lacking physical presence and generally seeming a bit aimless. But we certainly played a lot of lovely football and didn’t do much wrong. Great start to the season but many tougher opponents lie ahead.
  14. We must have, by far, the biggest wage bill in this league and will be making a loss of hundreds of thousands of pounds this season. We have players all our rivals would kill to have. Savage is funding this to get us to where we can be sustainable as a full time club. Much as we all love Kells just now, the harsh truth is that if he doesn’t get us promoted this season he has failed.

Chanka Zimba must be the best named player we’ve ever had?

This is what we’ve all been hoping for, especially with comments from the club of possible new faces in time for tomorrow’s game - they would only say that if it was someone who would be slotting straight into the first team.
  17. I was just giving it some thought! Have now voted, 2nd place. To finish 1st we need to win the league by >5 points and the points deduction could prove decisive. We also need a striker or two and it remains to be seen who we get and when.
  18. What’s your prediction for our final league place?
  19. I had a look at odds, which had us a favourites to win the league and Alloa way down at 9/1 which I think is very generous!
  20. Ouch. We look so inept and error prone at the back. Would be nice to think we were getting all the mistakes out of our system before the league season starts!
  21. Alloa won all their group matches including wins over Premier and Championship sides. On the basis of evidence so far maybe they should be favourites.
  22. Mickey Mouse tournament!
  23. Yes he had a bit of a nightmare. On 4 occasions there he looked like an outfield player who’d been made to go in goals.
