Robbo Moving On...
Not sure why people are still hoping it will be McCann. The fact that the club has his phone number and have no doubt had numerous conversations with him over recent weeks and months, but are publicly advertising the position, means that it will not be him.

Dan Mackay Easter road bound
It appears Dan only signed for Hibs today, with Hibs citing a delay due to factors outwith their control. Could just be something administrative, or could it be that the medical led to something needing checked out more thoroughly?

Dan Mackay Easter road bound
Given Hibs season isn’t over yet but ours is, can he start training with them immediately rather than wait until the summer?

Play Offs
Earlier this century there was a lower league team who collapsed far more spectacularly than Falkirk. Can’t remember who it was but they were well clear at the top of the league at one point. There were rumours on football forums that at that point some of the players put bets on them NOT winning the league but that was probably just speculation to explain their subsequent collapse, I don’t think there was any evidence.

Play Offs
What a remarkable collapse by Falkirk. Two weeks ago they lost top spot, sacked the management team, Gary Holt takes over and things go from bad to worse. Glad they aren’t coming up though.

Dan Mackay Easter road bound
Edinburgh Evening News reported earlier today that a fee has been agreed between the clubs (but don’t even speculate as to how much it is).

Esson or Christie? 🙂

Todorov Club Statement
Wrongly sent off from what I’ve seen, think it was a dive. Couldn’t have happened to a nicer guy. 😃

Inverness CT -V- Ayr United - Preview
Game just fizzled out, a bit like our season did. No wins in our last 5 games.

Soft penalty but looked right decision to me. Edit - just saw a replay and not so sure now.

Inverness CT -V- Ayr United - Preview
I still can’t get into the game after purchasing on PPV half an hour ago. So watching the Raith game on TV just now while trying and the commentators said that Dan Mackay is on the shopping list of several SPL clubs.

Challenge Cup final scrapped
I don’t think he’ll be putting it on his CV. Billy Dodds on the other hand..... 😃
-
Challenge Cup final scrapped
Couple of things to note from this: - County can no longer claim to be reigning champions - Robbo is the first manager to have won the trophy 3 times

Challenge Cup final scrapped
So have we now won this competition 3 times, or is it just 2.5?

Challenge Cup final scrapped
Players from both last season and this one are busily checking their bonus clauses!

Official PotY
Difficult PotY choices this year. Carson, but also Dan and Toddy, only really came into contention in the 2nd half of the season. Other candidates like Allardyce, Ridgers and Deas were consistently pretty good for the whole season. Incidentally I hadn’t actually realised that Deas qualified for the young player category, he plays with maturity beyond his years and will hopefully stay with us and keep improving.

Season 2020/21 - the inquest
In the early stages of the season we got ourselves into a reasonable position and things looked bright with Kai Kennedy starting to rip teams apart. But then we had that long miserable run over the winter months - 1 win in 13 matches, that is absolute relegation form, for half the season. Fixture congestion, issues with the management team, losing Kennedy, whatever, that was when our promotion hopes were battered. The arrival of McCann brought no new manager bounce and we had some absolutely terrible results and performances under him before that amazing winning run that only started when Billy Dodds arrived. This put us right back in contention for the playoffs at the right end of the league. Sadly when it came to crunch time we then failed to win any of our last 3 matches, tricky though they were, whilst our rivals got back to winning ways. Lots of factors at play this season, but one simplistic way of looking at it is that we only took 2 points from Alloa, the part timers adrift at the bottom of the league. Positives - financial survival, a victory over County that will be remembered for many years, seeing Allardyce, Dan Mackay, and Todorov establishing themselves as first team regulars. Negatives - lack of contribution from senior players like Storey, Vincent, Keatings and sadly the injury prone Doran. We really missed Tremarco. And the games against Alloa....

Season 2020/21 - the inquest
Now that this rollercoaster season has ended in mid-table mediocrity, what are your thoughts on what went right, what went wrong, who and what were the good, the bad and the ugly from this season?

For me, a good outcome today is simply for us to go into the final game of the season with a chance of making the playoffs, even as outsiders.

Inverness CT -V- Dundee - Preview
Not too surprising, could have been worse. Had more than an inkling Allardyce’s red was a wrong decision based purely on so many of our players protesting angrily to the ref. I think 2 of them got yellows for doing so - maybe they should get overturned too, as they were simply trying to help the ref avoid making an error.
