Maybe it's time for Calum Ferguson to get a run in the first team to be honest.

Ryan Christie
I see that Swansea have just bought Falkirk striker Botti Biabi for £700K. I wonder if Ryan Christie is next?

Injury Updates
I think the BBC said that Meekings' injury is a hip problem. Richie Foran is out for the next couple weeks due to a knee injury. I'm not so sure about the others.

Replacement Striker?
What about Faissal El Bakhtaoui of Dunfermline Athletic? I see today he's scored his 8th goal of the season and Dunfermline have only played 4 games so far in their campaign. I fully appreciate we don't have the finances to just put in a bid but if a potential sale of Ryan Christie goes through and we have a bit of cash at hand then surely El Bakhtaoui would be a viable option for the club?

Ryan Christie
If it is indeed a premiership team that gets Ryan Christie this window, I also wouldn't mind us making a deal where we get a couple players from their youth set up in on loan. If we did that then there could be a good chance that we could become a feeder club to Swansea for example.

Ryan Christie
Absolutely getting Ryan Christie back on loan for a year and recieving a seven figure sum would be the best outcome for the club but if he doesn't come back on loan it's not the end of the world. We have Aaron Doran, Jordan Roberts, Iain Vigurs and James Vincent that can all play in his postition and if Toby Ajala signs then he is another one to consider. End of the day, when was the last time we received a seven figure sum for a player? We should just play ball with the team offering that kind of money and if we get him back on loan fair play but I can't see how his departure would hurt us.

Replacement Striker?
Possibly out of desperation given time was running out for the game against Astra.

Ian Vigurs
The most pleasing aspect of this move for me is that he will add to the quality depth to the squad. When everybody is back from injury the competition for places is going to be a really tough one especially with guys like Aaron Doran, Jordan Roberts and James Vincent. So I am pretty happy that he has signed. If we can get a decent striker then I feel our squad is of top six standard IMO.

Inverness CT -V- Partick Thistle - Preview
Third time’s a charm Next up for Inverness Caley Thistle is Partick Thistle at the Tulloch Caledonian Stadium in this week’s midweek fixture card. Caley Thistle currently sit 9th place in the table only gaining 1 point from the first two games of the season. Partick sit in at 11th having also started in similar style to Inverness where they only picked up 1 point however Thistle have failed to score a goal so far. Both teams will be eagerly looking to get their first win of the season which should make for a good game to watch for the spectators. Last Saturday saw Caley Thistle earn a hard a fought point which could have easily been all three. The performance at McDiarmid park was undoubtedly a massive improvement from the previous week and Yogi got the boys fired up for this one from the off as it only took a mere 9 minutes for Ryan Christie to drill the ball into the back of the net. I was pleasantly surprised with the ‘makeshift’ defence as I felt that Ross Draper and Danny Devine combined for a good defensive pairing. Liam Polworth got the nod ahead of Nat Wedderburn and it proved to be the correct decision by Yogi as he put in a good shift in the middle of the park with a range of very good passing play from the local lad. As the game went on the Inverness players started to tire and Tommy Wright brought on Graham Cummins who headed a bitterly frustrating equaliser for St Johnstone. Partick Thistle hosted last year’s league champions Celtic at Firhill. Celtic got all three points in what seemed to be a dominant 2-0 victory for the parkhead side. It was also said that the Jags played the game without a real striker and a couple of important players in defence were missing through injury/suspension - sound familiar? Tomorrow night’s game will see Pogba grace the highlands for the first time. Fortunately for the Caley Jags it will not be Juventus superstar Paul Pogba, it will be his older brother Mathias Pogba brought in from Crawley Town following his release. All the eyes will be firmly on how Pogba will fare against Inverness especially with the ‘makeshift’ back four. Alan Archibald has also added David Amoo from Carlisle United, Callum Booth and Tomas Cerny from Hibernian and also Gary Miller from St Johnstone. Thankfully for Caley Thistle, Partick Thistle will be without winger Kallum Higginbotham after he departed for Kilmarnock. Conrad Balatoni, James Craigen, Ryan Finnie, Scott Fox, Dale Keenan, Stephen O’Donnell and Ben Richards-Everton also left the club in the summer window. Last season’s results against Partick do not really paint a good picture for Inverness especially in the home fixture. Since Partick Thistle got promoted back up to the top flight in 2013, Caley Thistle have only won once against them at the Tulloch Caledonian Stadium. Inverness New signing Iain Vigurs could make his second debut for the club tonight. Aaron Doran, Carl Tremarco and James Vincent could make a return to the side. Richie Foran, Josh Meekings and Jordan Roberts remain doubtful ahead of the game. Dean Brill and Gary Warren remain on the sidelines due to long term injuries. Partick Thistle Frederic Frans returns from his one match suspension. Steven Lawless and Danny Seaborne are injury doubts. Christie Elliot will be unavailable for the visitors. ICTRoughi’s prediction:- I honestly think we will pick up our first win of the season here. Partick Thistle always had our number last season in the league but I think the tides will change and we will get a good hard fought win.

We don't have the funds for Mckay.

Meltdown
Exactly. Rickie Foster won't exactly be on low wages either.

Yogi says no more money no more players!
That is correct: http://www.inverness-courier.co.uk/Sport/Football/Christie-signs-new-ICT-deal-15052014.htm

Meltdown
And you'll know how and where that cash can be found I take it. I'm quite sure people at the club work very hard to win sponsorship. I'm not so sure that the highlands have enough business with the advertising budgets needed to provide that sponsorship. Especially with so many sports clubs vying for a share in what is not a densely populated area. Look where we are in league of average earnings and its easy to see why its hard to persuade the class of player we'd all like to see at the club. Below is from here http://sport.stv.tv/football/clubs/celtic/1321105-celtics-average-wage-bill-is-25-times-higher-than-ross-countys/ Average annual pay Average weekly pay Celtic £901,943 £17,345 Aberdeen £140,699 £2,706 Hibernian £102,199 £1,965 Dundee United £91,538 £1,760 St Mirren £78,447 £1,509 Kilmarnock £74,981 £1,442 St Johnstone £67,999 £1,308 Motherwell £67,639 £1,301 Hearts £63,999 £1,231 Inverness CT £53,690 £1,033 Partick Thistle £45,498 £875 Ross County £36,000 £692 The figures you've quoted are 2 seasons old.

Nope! http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/33801858 Apparently his next club is going to be Port Vale.
