I saw a game on T V this weekend between Bradford City and Coventry City Two managers who I think could get blood out of a stone. That's the sort of guy we need.
-
No chance of this happening. The club rightly have said if you are interested then send a cv. Who does he think he is, Graeme Souness! It is similar to the Warnock thing, Lazlo is reminding people that he is out there looking for a job. Just wondering "what's the Warnock thing"?

Jimmy Nicholl Won Just the League cup, with Raith Rovers as manager Took them to Europe. Also played for Man U and Rangers and 70 odd Northern Ireland caps. not a bad CV for a number 2. I am also told he is a really nice person. Remember the quote "dancing in the streets of Raith".

The problem is money, The owners have a 100 grand compo, plus whatever Terry and Maurice were paid, Surely they could entice a decent manager to the frozen North. I don't think we should look too long term, if they could get somebody decent in to the end of the season maybe.

There must be a bright side blowed if I can see it. Unless the new guys Dad owns an oil well Will Jimmy Nichol be surplus at Hibs seems a decent No 2?
-
According to Sky Sports Terry arrived at the Hibs training ground early this morning Jimmy left not long after. Are Jimmy Nichols days numbered.at Hibs . Is he the same Jimmy Nichol who won the League cup with Raith.? Could be a good No 2 at our place I wonder http://www.hibs.net/showthread.php?270010-Jimmy-Nicholl-s-role-in-this-mess

I don't know why this debate rambles on The Independence debate is dead in the water And I suspect so are the prospects for the furore of the SNP

I AM GETTING TO THE POINT WHEN I FEEL IT IS POINTLESS EXPRESSING AN OPINION ON THIS BOARD WITHOUT HAVING TO ENDURE MINDLESS PERSONNAL ATTACKS

Not sure one can say Butcher has assembled a full squad. ?? He certainly has a fine first 11. Not much on the bench though, unless somebody knows different? If we ge injuries or suspensions what can we do about it. The squad seems wafer thin to me. I am told rightly or wrongly that free transfers and loan players can be signed after the deadline if the club has room on the registration forms. We really ought to be looking for back ups. This is not a troll I am genuinly concerned with the bench. You're either a troll, or extremely stupid. You are extremely rude

Until you have been to U20 games, seen players play/train, I would stop talking about something you know nothing about. no need to get shirty , I said unless you know different. I was only expressing my perception. I am pleased you are happy with the squad, it gives me some comfort

Inverness basically hammered a very young inexperienced Hearts side today. . I think the Calley fans left the ground wondering how they ICT that is did not win by a more considerable margin. The Hearts fans to their credit sang their voices dry trying to encourage the young players. However the Calley goalie Brill did not have a save to make. He impressed with fantastic distribution, his kicking with both right and left foot is as good as I have seen from a goalkeeper in many a long year. The game was no more than a training exercise, I feel we will have much sterner tests before the season is over. Having said that a win is a win. Terry Butcher is to be commended on the teams performance. I should point out to someone responsible for training that when a centre back comes up to take a long throw in, it is usual for another player to take his place at centre half. A fault that nearly cost us.

Not over enamoured at seeing the light. It didn't do Paul any good in the long run On Saturday both my teams were winning two goals up, both ended up in draws. I well know a seasons a long time, but dreaming is what it's all about.
-
WE have just been two goals up on a team who beat Barca who cost many millions with a bunch of free transfer guys. The logic I just don't understand.
-
I say keep it simple How about Now you're goana believe us x 3 We're goana win the league. x3 repeat etc.
-
Any away team that fills the away end should get a free pie each Fed up with seeing empty away end. Hearts usually bring a few. Last week we had last years runners up and they looked like they came in a mini bus. Lets hope County stay up, worth a few bob, and a bit of fun.

Born Heywood in Lancashire at home 1943 pre NHS days during ww 2 Catholic school until 15 - Fire fighter in Lancashire lived in Salford and the Rossendale Valley supported Bury until 1993 Moved to Sussex supported Wimbledon and Vinnie Jones Second House in France supported Lens on occasion when French champions Rented Flat in London, 2009 retired to the Highlands took up book selling Season ticket for Caley before I ever saw a game played in Scotland from 2008

Maybe 3 full capacity crowds ( if we could make top 6 ) each year would bring in far more revenue than a few bus loads of spectators who wouldn't support Caley anyway If Ross County and Hearts get relegated m and Queen of the South and an other come up, Next years gates will be very poor.

Sometimes people say " the game was of two halves". I felt yesterday it could have been termed, a game of one half. The first half was as good as it gets, fine defending , lovely passing, two well worked goals. The second half wind affected, was by the first half's standard very ordinary, passes going amiss , ICT on the back foot , poor shooting by both teams, especially Motherwell. I think we should be proud of the first half, proud of the solid defence, and be rather glad that Motherwell left their shooting boots on the coach. Our goalkeeper Brill was very animated suggesting to some of his team mates to get stuck in. Whether it is just part of his personality, or he was generally concerned I don't know. It is nice however to see a player showing such passion who is new to the team.

I for one believe Glasgow is of real importance not only to football in Scotland but to football in the British Isles and maybe world wide To sit in our Tolkeinish shire and ignore what is going on in the darker wider world will not help ICT or the finances of Scottish football One of the reasons we are talking about Glasgow or the Rangers is the negative impact this whole business has had on Scotland and it's football, and it's finances. One of our two main teams has delivered itself a mortal wound by trying to live beyond it's means, that has hurt not just Rangers but the whole aspect of the game up here. To lose the Revenue from possibly two or more predominate home fixtures for 3 seasons is a lot for small clubs like ours. That is why we are talking about it - maybe it is a long awaited wake up call. or just a bloody nuisance I don't know. But I find this topic exceedingly interesting.
