  3. Kiss* it was a kiss
  4. the welsh are a passionate bunch, perhaps he just wanted a kiss? it seems harsh to be sent off for showing how you feel.
  5. You would think with the time he has spent on the sidelines already he'd not want to end up straight back there by his own doing. true. and im not defending it but, seems out of carachter and i think fans booing him off the pitch was wrong aswell, give the guy a chance or petes sake, he was excellent last week and up until the incident was great today, dont judge owain by what he done under 20+ degrees, in a high pressure situation. again it was totally out of carachter. Dunno what the temperature has to do with it and if it was a high pressure situation already then how did is actions affect his teammates once they were down to 10 men? Perhaps you know him well but TBH I don't know OTJ's character too well was I've seen very little of him in the past year. As for the booing of him, that was pathetic, there's little I hate more than fans booing their own players. playing in heat is alot harder, so it can be more frustrating, hence he takes out his frustration on the lad he did.
  6. im gonna do my bit here. on the bright side at least we know where forans gonna fit in next week.

  8. owain with his history of knee injuries i think it played on his mind, for me that seems totally out of carachter.

  10. After seeing pre season and being at st mirren I think the team has potential I'm gonna say 6th should injury to key player mostly stay away.
  11. Wow one incident and he needs to get his act together? He was brilliant on saturday and tbh don't care what happened guy was in the wrong so he got sent off, the one thing I always say when something like this happens for or against us is that it's the way of the game these days, was it gamesmanship or is he just playing the game? Don't blame the player blame the game.
  12. In the two seasons that Dargo and Higdon played together before they both left St. Mirren at the end of the 2010/11 season they played 38 and 33 games respectively. The season before, their first in the same team, they played 29 games and 39 games respectively. Doesn't look like Dargo "couldn't get a start" when Higdon was there. Could Dargo have gotten a bigger move by staying with us? Of course but that's not to say he couldn't also have done that at St. Mirren where he was also collecting a larger wage whilst still playing at the same level and he was able to do this for a further four seasons. Doesn't sound like a killed career to me. Your point about him moving to Partick and Dumbarton is moot. By this stage he was 33 / 34 so he was hardly likely to be winning a big move at that stage of his career. in 4 seasons he had 54 starts and was used as a sub 40 times and he scored 9 goals. all im saying is that at ict he was a success, he left and his careers went downhill since, indicating he made a mistake by leaving.
  13. I'd be interested to know how it "killed his career". He might not have scored as many goals but he played as many games in three out of the four seasons he was in Paisley. It's not as if he went to St. Mirren and never played. He played for the first couple seasons and was gash, they brought in higdon and after that he couldn't get a start and he spent last season at Patrick and Dumbarton when he could've got a bigger move if he waited and performed like we knew he could with us.
  14. He was able to get paid, if rumours are to be believed, around 2 - 3 times as much money for doing the same job which will have allowed him to better provide for his family. How can you construe that as being some sort of mistake? Because it was horible for his career. It basically killed his career. He himself couldn't deny that. And he probably regrets that. How much further would he have gone had he stayed with us? If I was him that's what I'd be asking myself
  15. Yeah leaving one football team to go to another where he was getting paid more money will definitely be causing him untold grief right now. Yes because all anyone cares about is money.
  16. 1st division is probably about his level now, im sure even hed admit now leaving us was a huge mistake.
  17. Hibs are my fav for the drop. Truly woeful. But in saying that dundee utd look superb
  18. If that's accurate, that makes me a very sad panda. It's a red top it'll be a horrendous over exageration. I think they'll be down by 100-150 season tickets
  19. Look forward to it.
  20. I don't think they had a shot on goal yesterday despite all the new signings. Hayes will win them a couple games as he did us but a midfeild of Rae, milsom, jack, would get demolished by draper, otj and foran. From what I seen yesterday the signing of draper means we will control a lot more games this year.
  21. could be worth merging the two, have one account where you can see current on goings and past. sounds good to me, but what do i know
  22. what you said nick made an impact and deserves a start, not sure where to fit foran
  23. Plenty positives. We were by far superior second half, played the ball on the deck. Great atmosphere
  24. people! calm down lets be contructive here. have to agree, that youve been very pesimistic. perhaps in an atempt to show that you are seeing both sides of the coin, but your first 2 you did were very good, cant say i agree with what youve said in this one but try not to be over critical, or to over think it. say it how you see it and try to be positive, it is a fans view after all.
  25. Not at all. We all know the financial constraints happening within the Scottish game at this time, so much so that Hearts, fresh from winning a Scottish Cup, were unable to retain their manager and star player. I never bumped this thread in attempt to undermine the manager's position, rather providing an opinion/scenario on what is after all, what the thread is all about, and a scenario I don't believe is impossible come the end of the season. My real fear though, is that come May 2013 (should Butcher still be here), the board are unable to agree terms, Butcher goes with Malpas promoted to manager. And that's a scarey thought! You really are overthinking this. Butchers here for the next year at least I see no reason why he'd want to leave hes earned plenty of dosh in his career in sure David Murray gave a tasty little sum in his time at ibrox and I really don't think Terry's in it for the money, he's enjoying life here unless, he has to take a wage cut that means he can't afford his red vino and his chippy twice a month I don't see it. Tels here, he wants to achieve top 6 with us and that's what he's here to do, let's talk about Terry's future when he's achieved his goals and clubs are after him.
