  1. Wouldn't knock the welsh league a few Swansea and Cardiff players have played in it aswell as otj so there's obviously something to look at there.
  2. The clubs statement from yesterday says tokes, jones, Hogg, and gillet have all been offered longer to decide their futures. Could the paper talks be premature. Unlikely but possibly.
  3. probably the start of next month/ end of this month
  4. everyone has been given more time
  5. with st johnstones attendences, im shocked at the amount of players they are bringing in. i think there could be trouble brewing for them. as long as we stay up we should be able to keep our books balanced. some added interest with the derbies, we could do ok next year in terms of cash. but aslong as we arnt in unpayable debt im happy. if that means we cant buy players or compete with other clubs with wage demand etc i dont care, id rather have a club to support in 20 years time what ever league that may be in, than a successful one now.
  6. done a sponsored walk on the great glen way to fort augustus over friday and saturday. so spending the day watching the french open in bed. a pack of digestive, a big bag of salt and vinegar twirls and a 2 litre bottle of water. recovery is on. not being so enthrawled by a game of tennis in a long time but this djokovic game is imense. alot more of twists and turns to come in this match for sure.
  7. a month to pre season. plenty time to sort things out.
  8. well tokely said that when he asked butcher for a better deal he said his hands were tied. tokely at no point blames the manager. always the club so rene your still off your rocker. you should maybe get some treatment for your paranoia
  9. The bitterness on this forum is unreal can people get a grip please.
  10. Aslong as the old firm are around I can't see it. Many leagues have had hard times in the past. Even england. We will get through it imo. Our under 21 team is very competitive now. And I think it shows the enthuses been put in youth development.
  11. Totally agree But await the 'vomiting rainbows' We have an interesting couple months ahead of us let's see how it unfolds before making judgements about next season. I have faith terry and mo have a plan
  12. What about Irvine? Our new elustripis signing?
  13. The one for tougher rules that will mean rangers will be deducted a third of the points they earned this season next season? So your all for Newco's being allowed in the SPL? dont think i mentioned newco Your right you never mentioned newco. I was asking if you were in favour of the newco rules and was wondering if you thought our chairman made the right vote. It appeared from your last post that you were in favour of them so I only asked to make sure. Nevermind though you've already mentioned in a later post that you don't care what happens to rangers even if they do enter back in through the newco. As I've mentioned in other threads I havnt a clue what any of the repurcutions are if rangers go into newco I've not followed it. But i think they should be treated in the same way as livi, and Gretna. But people more qualified than me in the club that will make decisions for the clubs benefit. I'm just a fan not a businessman
  14. it says that we have a GK lined up but only that we want a striker following Tades departure Well whatever it says it's a start
  15. Celery, celery If she don't *** Il tickle her bum With a lump of celery
  16. The one for tougher rules that will mean rangers will be deducted a third of the points they earned this season next season? Only if they are still in administration at the start of next season. That wont happen though because they will not still be in admin. There's more liklihood of them being a Newco allowed into SPL without penalty. It's all very confusing. Tbh I've taken no notice of what's going on at ibrox. I'm Not fussed what happens to them. My concern is ict. Not the league and certainly not rangers. I know feck all about what's gonna happen if rangers go into newco and I know feck all about the repurcutions of it. Is it not all hypothetical anyway?
  17. As I posted in another thread last night Ain't through lack of trying. We can still keep the majority just not the spine. Young players have to step up for us next season. Sutherland, and Ross need to follow in shinnies steps. Right now this is our team Esson Meekings--gillet?--Hogg?--G.shinnie Foran--Morrison Doran--A.shinnie--Ross Sutherland Subs: mathieson, Tokely?, Piermayr?, otj?, McKay?,u19,u19 Players who we already have for next season are given priority in this. Gillets ahead of Tokely because I think he's more likely to sign than the big man. Same for Hogg. Now that isn't a terrible team. Lots of creativity in midfeild, Hogg and gillet both very capable, and a lot of youth. A bit of experience aswell in Esson, gillet, Hogg and foran. So what do we need? We need Tokely, and piermayr to sign. And another 1 maybe 2 new defenders. meekings, gillet, and Hogg have played in both full back and centre half, perhaps we need 2 new defenders. Midfeild, again we need otj to sign. We need a new wide player and Another centre midfielder. We also have advantage of having Ross and foran who can play out wide and cover if need. Up front. The huge worry. Last seasons problem area. Right now we have Sutherland. Thats all. I expect McKay to sign. But then we have 2 strikers. We need 2 more after that at least one experienced. And as with other positions we have players who can cover I.e. foran. So we need 2 defenders 2 midfielders And 2 new strikers And the obvious new cover keeper unless butcher has faith in this mathieson boy. This is a minimum requirement list. This is what we need for the start of pre season. A 22 man squad going into pre season would be ideal. We can then add a few more players throughout pre season.
  18. According to the tyronestv gudge on twitter we have a tuffey replacement lined up. Aswell as a new striker. So that's 2 down 5/6 to go

  20. we are losing a good player and a great player. both of whom butcher brought in. just have faith he can do it again.

  22. Wasn't last season the 'building' season? Some of what ur drinking pls Luke! :D Last season was the best forgotten season I brew my own high :D
  23. Or its served it's purpose. It pushed players to make a decision on their future so we know where they stand. Tade and tansey were offered better deals and snapped at the chance to take them not the deadlines fault IMO just we can't compete with other clubs in the wage department.
