  1. Aberdeen averaged nowhere near 24000 in the heady days of the 1980's . im just guessing. i dont know i wasnt there.
  2. Yeh think it was from our first season back up.
  3. Think he's talking about the 'good old days' not te calderwood days
  4. Think il give school the pie. I've only got 1 proper class that day anyway. Il have permission of course. I'm a good student
  5. Looking through the fixtures the highland u 20 derby is on the 9th (during the holidays) would be great if the club advertised it well and got a decent crowd to go to it.
  6. HT: 1-0 FT: 2-1 1st ICT: foran 1st Opp: hayes Crowd: 3711
  7. I've always thought a 3-5-2 would work for us. Simon king or foran as sweeper with warren and Hogg in front of them would be quite a formidable back 3, we could push g.shinnie up into a wing back role and have meekings on the right, both have very good energy, draper and owain holding with a.shinnie in front and Shane and billy up top. The way we are dominating some games I think this would be the way forward but it obviously wouldn't always work. -------------Esson --------------foran -----warren--------Hogg Meekings-----------------g.shinnie ---------draper--------otj -------------a.shinnie ---------McKay------sutherland
  8. He plays up front. And he plays on the wing He holds midfeild And he'll play centre half He'll head the ball The length of the park He's Ritchie foran He's Ritchie foran. To the Charlie mulgrew chant.
  9. Mcgregor Hutton-Webster-Berra-Bardsley Caldwell Morrison-Adam-Naismith McCormack Miller Think having Caldwell in the holding midfeild role frees up Charlie Adam to play like he can. Most my attackers are high energy players with great work rate. They for me are the most important players.
  10. We're two games away from a hampden trip. Draws looking favourable not a stroll by any means but we should win. Let's get a decent turn out too. It's the last 16 c'mon. Also another caley jags away game. Il definatly be going to this one.
  11. Actually, I've heard the complete opposite, with County making sure cover is always provided when he moves forward. He's also been MOTM more than once this season. So You've spoken to some county fans. I'm going by the one game I seen the Celtic game where izzaguire got past him at will and Tokely was very exposed. If celtics crossing was better then they'd have won that game by going past Tokely. In my opinion of course.
  12. I think Tokelys getting exposed at right back for county, as for Munro I think he's solid but with him in the team were be playing a completely different brand of football, mainly aimless long balls. Warren and meekings are both very solid centre halfs I'm undecided on king yet. But think all 3 are good centre halfs the issue for me is the full backs, all season (so far) that's the area which has been exposed most.
  13. One of those which I keep changing my mind on. Don't think il ever be sure so il just leave it as it is. Shame though it ruined an otherwise solid performance from him.
  14. Just seen higdons second, meekings was sleeping that's what put higdon through not the back pass. Ravens taken a pounding for it but wasn't solely to blame.
  15. At least we are going for games though, remember when we beat killie 6-3! When everytime we broke away we scored? Well today we were killie. Went for the game, attacked but got picked off. Main positive: went for a win Main negative: full backs got punished due to lack of cover from midfeild. To play like this you have to be very fit, I think early season cobwebs are still being brushed off, can see us scoring plenty but conceding a lot aswell. Does this worry me? No! At least when we look back on this season we will be able to say, "remember that game?" "yeh what a game" this seasons gonna be an entertaining one. Strap in.
  16. Think we utilised his aerial threat too much today, I'd rather see him somewhere where he can dictate the game, was magnificent today though.
  17. Don't understand football. Dominated the game create so much more chances than them but lose 4-1? At 2-1 Motherwell should've been down to ten men, foran was clean through, and got taken out. Some wonder saves from Randolph stopped us getting 3 or 4 goals I'm bewildered.
  18. 2-1 down underservidely, controlled most the game but Motherwell are dangerous on the break through humphries, first goal was a corner that sneaked in at the near post, the second humphries stretched his legs tore past shinnie and draper and gave higdon a easy finish. Foran motm so far. Tidy finish, very good aerially.
  19. Clear Friday 5th oct, Wednesday 2nd jan and Saturday 16th march in your diary, there the important game. Join us in the battle of good vs evil, the derby games.
  20. HT:0-1 FT:0-2 1st ICT:a.shinnie 1st Opp:n/a Crowd:6012
  21. Left back was an area where we had no cover, apart from g.shinnie we have no other left back. Good move imo. If worst comes to worst then we can play gbh left back and shinnie left wing or vice versa
  22. Not been offered a professional contract doesn't say anything about not been on arsenals books though could still have a year left on his apprentice contract.
  23. Is the point in a partnership with another club not to take their players, and develop them for a cut price or no cost atall?
  24. From the sounds of it every time the words "andrew shinnie" are uttered there should be a halelujah.
  25. Either butcher is changing the whole team for Motherwell on Sunday. Or he's going for it. Good move. Although with esson in goals and reguero fit could this mean reguero starts Sunday? Very interesting.
