in scotland we have a thing called the old firm, who drain the majority of football fans from every other town and city in scotland away form their local teams, crewe doesnt!
  3. :015: :015: would never have guessed that would have been your answer why the **** is everybody so optimistic?!

...thats not to say i agree with constant blocking of invernessian teams entry in to the league sin the past. things have changed now and we have to protect the clubs worth protecting

" Did you agree with the Scottish league constantly preventing entry to the either Inverness team despite them obviuosly being good enough on a football front becase they weren't "big enough"?" different times Heilandee , football used to be more piopular than t is now

i used to get on his back for giving the ball away more than others because it was nearly always when he wasnt under any pressure

highland league, unless they were willing to merge and form a club big enough to stand on its own two feet, like we have
  8. yeah i suppose its expensive compared to other things, but thats football. where we cant compete with say wandering around the shops or sitting on a pub stool for a saturday afternoon to the average invernessian is on different grounds; its cold and shyty most of the year , often boring, grounds in an awkward part of town, expensive maybe(?)..... plus for most people who might casually support us or just watch football generally its much easier and cheaper to take in a game through their telly, or one in a pub. maybe theres an over exposure of footbal on tv now, all the fairweather fans are being molested by the sporting media for attnetion, i mean compared to the likes of the charity shield between liverpool and chelsea, why would they want to come and see st mirren v ict for £20? after the hype and pompus crap that followed the world cup and the constantly high expectations from every game (and subsequent disapointment), i was expecting a break before the season as far as the box is concerned, but there mustve been a record number of friendlies shown live on tv this year. every single one of them was hyped out of all proportion, i honestly believe the commentators and presenters (especially on 5) had lost grasp on reality with some of the fare they were trying to encourage me to watch. the damage they may well be doing to others is scary, thosewho might actually be interested in watching the game in person sometime making football out to be something its not on tv, online; plus if we're all honest to each other in person when talking about a particular match or day in the past, will only lead to disapointment and a sense of dis satisfaction with handing over £20 to watch russel duncan sideways pass to barry wilson, to pass back to tokely, who willdly slices it across the park at nobody for the 1,000th time in thier carears sooner we admit that whats on show is never going to be that exciting, the better we'll all be! there is no point worrying about people who dont follow ict or cant be bothered, what could you possibly tell them, without over stating or lying, that will convince them theyre in the wrong

errrrr! right then! :017: for the good of scottish football we should be trying to create an enviroment in which the clubs who could potentially support full time football themselves, can, without carrying the rest. harsh on smaller teams but thats it, need to look after those clubs who actually contribute something to the game

just because duncan doesnt give us anything coming forward it doesnt mean he has to play as a defensive midfielder. its probably going to be the most important position this season and we should be playing our best player in there
  12. thatll be because we're playing sunday

you having a f##king laugh? "despite all his supposed failings" ? duncans the one midfielder i wouldnt lose sleep over leaving the club completely. im sick of hearing people talk about all the hard work he does that goes un-noticed, or the commitment he shows, black in duncans postion is 10 times the player russel is. he tackles harder, distributes faster, doesnt always sidways pass... and when he has to he gives us something coming forward. brown tokely dods munro hastings black wilson keogh rankin morgan dargo/bayne
  14. judging by the cost of new houses in inverness i doubt any newcomers will be put off coming to ict games by the ticket price. the reason we dont have two full home stands every game is that we dont have that many fans.......... the attendances arent falling, theyre just always going to be crap. do i win a prize for getting the right answer?

the more ive thought about it the more im starting to come to accept that the first division probably does need to reorganise, it could very well be a strong league in its own right, capable of not just sustaining full time football but competing on level plain field with the spl financially. if we were in the first now, along with dundee, st johnston, partick, gretna etc starved of sponsorship money, id be asking serious questions about why. if the answer was nobody was willing to put up the money because the likes of montrose or queens park had to be thrown in the deal id be very p1ssed off. outwith the first theres morton, ayr and raith; with potentially peterhead, cowdenbeath and stirling aswell, who could all maybe support full time squads if they werent suffering due to the lack of interest in the leagues theyre playing in. which is ultimatley causing the problems the current first division clubs are having right now. i havent got any answers for once, but for the real good of the game we need as many of our clubs who could potentially survive on their own to be playing in an enviroment that allows them to do so. if that means spl 2 and a big no entry sign for the likes of forfar, montrose, east fife etc then so be it.

waste of time. all of it.
  17. jason scotland?
  18. agree with it aswell. morgan and hastings have to play as many games as possible together, id go as far as saying they are our two most important players, without them the whole side is unbalanced and cant move the ball forward quickly enough
  19. iev always been a bayne fan, he wont let us down this weekend
  20. rankins lack of confidence (or unwillingness to play) on the left on saturday lost us the match, or at least stopped us breaking st mirren down more. if morgan was in there hw wouldve been hugging the line for 90 minutes, even if he doesnt get the ball hes stretching their midfield and giving space to others. rankin cant defend at all on the left, and golly doesnt seem to give us anything coming forward either, his deliveries were f##king woeful (most balls into the box were, which is where morgan will never let us down). perhaps if hastings was in then rankins postiitoning wouldve changed, as richard would be more inclined to playing it through the channels rather than gollys diagonal balls into the middle. nothing against caff either, but tokely is better coming forward than he is, which frees up wilson to p1ss off and try and do something up front. three changes for next week, morgan for rankin, hastings for golly and ross for caff. maybe put caff in for dodds or munro? if rankins to play it should be for duncan, black seems at his best when hes sitting infront of the defence and dictating play, maybe he could free up rankin to try something different. wyness isnt good enough, as ive been saying for along time, but he fills a shirt
  21. one of the funniest things ive ever seen on a football pitch last night. then he wins the golden ball! for me that was the perfect way to end his career, absolute comedy
  22. it looks like a car exploding
  23. Try ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! edit: my ability to enbolden knows no bounds :011: :011: My genius knows no bounds. Last two seasons we have played the team who get relegated last game before the split so you read it here first Falkirk will get relegated
