  1. bennet and christie should walk if this 'interest' is confirmed if we have to bring in another ex player it should be mculloch from county
  2. boca juniors will forever have a place in my heart, biggest bet ive ever placed and won was on them 4-5 years ago had them to win the coppa lib from the quarter final stage at 9/4... they had crap teams until the final, where they beat santos 5-1 over two legs, remember they went 2-0 up after 12 minutes :017: quite like going inter milan in pro evo if that counts as supporting somebody else and of course clach, grew up as a ferryite with a a few guys who follow them everywhere in the HL, some of the few football fans i have total respect and all the time in the world for
  3. i like quick throw ins myself
  4. oh and anybody who replies with the words wyness or macallister in their posts receives an automatic 24 hour 'ignore' from myself :sillywave:
  5. Nicolae - Bayne Rankin - Black - Hart - Cowie Webb - Hastings - Munro - Tokely Fraser bring on zander for hart/cowie (whoevers worst) and ronald macdonald for bayne after an hour right, the plan is to make a ?25,000 bid for countys northern ireland international left back, must be some clause in his contract somewhere saying its allowed now county are playing highland league stuff again (brechin and peterhead count as highland league). they have signed golly anyway, they were expecting to lose him this summer on wednesday we sort out the work permit baltics; bribery, crying, whatever it takes saturday afternoon around 2.55 we inject baynes foot with pain killers then we'll have a team that'd beat the a#se of the side who played saturday morning about 6-0.. thoughts?
  6. any pictures?
  7. ive voiced concerns about us being too lightweight this year before but there is hope. im sure theres one big center back to come in, which is a big requirement. itll be when bayne and nicolae get teamed up together that we'll be a much more formidable force going forward, can see the whole team getting a lift from that blacks role in the team should be a holding midfielder ala beckham for real :023: not sure where macdonald fits in to be honest, i did say when we signed him that his pace and potential (on paper) may equate to zip all in an spl 18 yard box where no prisoners are taken. probably have to employ him in a 433 for best results, similar to what i said about wyness roll on motherwell though, things have to change and im totally confident they will
  8. ..just read cc's comments on the bbc site and its encouraging to hear he shares my views on bayne being vital to us looking interested during a game wyness ive had problems with since we first started talking about re-signing him, he has always had the abilty but never the drive or determination it takes to make a team like ict succeed, really not the guy you want to be leading the line! hed be great in a 433 system or a 5 man midfield, but hes hopeless when hes too far away from the other players complacency has been the number one killer for us since season 01-02 in division 1, ive been going on about it online for 6 bloody years, though the reasons behind it have changed a fair bit. every player in our squad needs it drilled into them, bloody brainwashed into them, that if they dont give it 100% in training and on the day, that if they dont win every single ball, make every pass, be strong in every f#cking tackle then ultimately we will be relegated and their careers will be all but over, as few players (if any) have been leaving the relegated clubs this past decade. there is no excuse for not trying, least of all from the first team manager ps think the complacency thing started when pele had us warming up for games against other full time teams by jogging between the sidelines once or hanging about in wee groups doing keepy ups before heading back up the tunnel!
  9. :017:
  10. glad i didnt get out of bed for this today but it sounds like we just werent ready for it physically rangers needed the chelsea and zeta games to get upto speed, we needed that today, next week should see an improvement
  11. its because the club dont b#llshit the fans into thinking we'll win the league ala motherwell, united, falkirk etc if we told people we'd win every game theyd pay, invernessians are no different to football fans anywhere else in the world in that respect. when we're constantly going on about finishing 11th or wage structures in the press we're turning people off, its hardly the most exciting game in town the bod shouldve woken upto the fact a long time ago that we're in competition for support with every team that plays a game live on tv this season, not ross county and clach. if we had a stadium that looked like the real thing and talked ourselves up a bit more then the locals may have more confidence in us and why the **** not. doesnt matter if youre from chelsea, manchester or nairn, we're supposed to enjoy the game or at least have something to look forward to.
  12. hmmm.... so basically youre saying the difference of 0.297 GA and any kind of bovril being considered good demonstrates just how far football has progressed since 1836 thanks for clearing that up :sillywave:
  13. "The Blues clinched the Second Division title by gaining top spot on the last draw of the season. They edged Luton into second spot, taking the title by 0.297 of a goal. " :017: can any of the old-timers explain that one
  14. heres a clue, his only past managerial role was keeping an eye on the centenary club :017:
  15. i think it was all fair enough tonight, rangers didnt look sharp at all and had to resort to rough challenges, scoring goals with them even. they played as if it was a friendly they also had somebody sent off and picked up half a dozen cards, which theyll now have to carry into more difficult games to come. think the ref was on top of most of it, though their second goal was an unforgivable mistake from him and his assistant
  16. be gretna or ourselves i think we'll win less points this year but gretna could be breaking records for gashness
  17. ach mun... take the cash
  18. ill probably be in the worlds second worst pub to watch it tm4tj, the 3 sisters :019: surprisingly its one of the quietest places in the capital to watch a game involving the old firm, everywhere else will be rammed with edinberg huns, with it being the seasons opener
  19. ive only seen markus a couple of times but i dont rate him at all to be honest he is young though, he could do anything this season
  20. havent heard much from him in pre season reports, didnt we sign him for 6 more months?
  21. ft 2-2 :017: like i said, it wouldnt be summer...
  22. bobby mann would be a total disaster, he had his time and his chances with us but jumped ship when we needed him most i cant even crack jokes about it
  23. already dabbled with a bit of success this year with fairly obvious (as they can be) home wins in sweden and norway. fancy throwing all my betfair money away on football for a change as its getting really boring losing at poker every night tempted to go for esbjerg to be aarhus this evening at 1.67, if i can find some team news esbjerg i remember well form last season, watched them on dodgey internet tv a couple of times and they were by far the best side in denmark. when they won it was always by 3 or 4 goals, theyve started well this time too. i dunno. maybe ill wait till next weekend seen as i cant find a site with team news
  24. jesus why dont we just put steven hislop and rory together upfront the ultimate headless chicken combo
  25. what was that mate? :023:
