Maybe they will re-structure it to have a 10 team premier league with the Pars already relegated and then Hibs following them due to finishing 11th. Ross County would also remain in the First Division and we are safe as we finished 10th last season. In all honest I can't see them being able to re-structure in time for the coming season, but I would welcome it. It is more realistic that they will re-structure for next season. They need to get it right. A 16 team Premier League please.

Surely it would be better for the 11 folk plus the OP to form their own Newco and apply to join the league.

I mentioned this in am email about a week ago when I was asked about a photo and again I sent an email on Friday night (to the folk playing). But the photo was takig place in Glasgow so I wasn't expecting many people to attend - I myself had to pull out at the last moinute due to work. If it was In Inverness, i'm sure we would have got more. Can't expect people to come down from Snecl for a feckin photo for the Evening Times in Glasgow! Also, the reason it was not posted on here is because there is a mailing list for the guys playing, I was asked to ask people playing if they could be involved in a photo therefore I communicated via the mailing list. People have work and most live in the other side of the country FFS,so getting 1 person was a success IMHO.

... to Dundee. The Glasgow based media are focussing on the potential of a Glasgow based newco club in the SPL. But remember, Dundee and Falkirk have already applied. Not to mention Dunfermline who may even have a case. Dundee finished 2nd in SFL1. They should be next in line to take any empty spot in the SPL. Forget the financial side for one moment. They should be next. Any new team must start at the bottom. Therefore, Dundee are the fair and natural choice and I urge the board to vote yes to Dundee. They bring a descent support as well, albet not as much as a Glasgow based newco would bring. If County replace Rangers in filling the away end, Dundee will more than make up for the relegation of Dunfermline so in theory our away crowds should be bigger this coming season than last. If on a day Caley Thistle aren't playing, I would happilly watch the Dundee derby. It would be an asset to the league and will bring some added spice. A Highland derby, Edinburgh derby and a Dundee derby sounds very attractive indeed. So lets not forget about Dundee. They should be next in line to fill in a vacant space. Yes to Dundee.

I suspect Don will be able to anwer this one for me. If there is a March 31st Deadline to apply for the SPL and Dundee and Falkirk have both applied, shirley only they can be considered. Newco Rangers don't exist yet and i'm not great at maths but I can see that quite obviously they have missed the 31st March deadline. Therefore, other than cheating by the SPL board, how can they even apply to get in? I suspect i've misunderstood something in the rules somwehere though!
