  1. But Dundee managed to come out of administation both times - unlike The Rangers. As Fraz said, they've 'done their time'. Whether they used to be in administation or not should not even be considered. Falkirk, and Partick Thistle were in administration in recent years, and remember the 'Save the Staggies fund'! Maybe we should relegate County! Dunfermline over budgeted for the SPL last season - and by that I mean they were over paying their players. They missed a payment run to their players and blamed Rangers (oldco) for non-payment of tickets. But they had just received equivalent money for the unscheduled Sky match with us! Therefore, you could argue the Pars have mis managed their accounts. We won't be able to promote anyone at this rate. Bottom line - forget the accounts of these teams, Dundee should be next in line to take the place - if they still want it.
  2. Is Doran training again? He picked up another injury in the second last game of the season at Midden and then missed the last game. What about Hogg? Is he back to full training?
  3. I'll be getting a couple of wee kick abouts at the Shyberry Excelsior Stadium New Broomfield before the game as i've entered a Tuesday night 7's league with my work. We could also get a wee kick about the day before the game on the grass terraces at Borough Briggs?
  4. Surely it can't be long now! I'm guessing pre-season training is in skins since the training tops haven't arrived yet! Whenever the contract runs out, I hope the club ditch Errea.
  5. I still don't think we've recovered since losing Djebi-Zadi.
  6. Rossco put the O and Y in County!
  7. I notice that Donald Findlay is part of John Browns team trying to buy the club. Since Findlay is Cowdenbeath Chairman, is he allowed to be part of another club? I didn't think this was allowed in the same country. He also says that Cowdenbeath will vote yes to The Rangers being parachuted into the First Division. Surprise surprise. So what happens if he does buy The Rangers and they are in the same league as Cowdenbeath?! He surely can't be on the board of two clubs in the same league!!! Or is he planning on 'walking away' from Cowdenbeath?
  8. How many SFL teams need to say no to stop The Rangers being promoted to the 1st Division? I've heard some media reports say a majority is needed, and others saying 22 teams need to say yes to allow them in. So that's Raith Rovers Falkirk Morton Clyde Dunfermline Dumbarton stating that they will say no to the plans to promote The Rangers to Division 1.
  9. Along similar lines, but have some sort of stall in the Eastgate / Falcon Square for the few weeks to the start of the season selling merchandise from the club shop. Of course, staff hours (unless trusted volunteers did it) and costs to the Eastagate Centre may hinder this.
  10. Aye it is the same. Very big in France.
  11. Aye. But I prefer the Remi Gaillard version.
  12. It's gone from birbery to blackmail!!!
  13. IF this new proposal is true and the BBC are correct in saying SPL clubs will vote, then I urge Kenny to vote NO. This is nothing short of bribery and is corrupt to the core. For years there was no reconstruction so that smaller clubs could be kept out. Now the shoe is on the other foot. I'd welcome play offs etc even if it means we're more likely to be relegated, as it's good for the game on a whole. But not, if the team getting promoted has not earned the place there. It HAS to be Division 3, or no SFL for Rangers. Any bribes should be rejected. The fans have made it clear. Any successful application must start in Division 3.
  14. I don't like Andy Barrowman Dundee 9-11 Dunfermline I don't like Jim Jeffries Dundee 10-11 Dunfermline I don't like Jim Leishman Dundee 11-11 Dunfermline
  15. I blame it on Inverness not having a nandos. Maybe Mansfield does? It's only 15 miles from Mansfields stadium to the nearest Nandos in Nottingham. I think we've found the reason!
  16. Can we invite Aldershot or Bristol Rovers to apply? Lets look at the pros and cons of Dundee and Dunfermline in the SPL. Dundee stewards are one of the worst in the country. Dunfermline have very good stewards. Dundee 0-1 Dunfermline We already have trips to Dundee to watch Utd so it may get boring going to the same place more often. Dundee 0-2 Dunfermline The catering (particulary the bridies) are better at Dunfermline Dundee 0-3 Dunfermline Dundee are stronger that Dunfermline imho, so Dunfermline would be more likely to finish 12th Dundee 0-4 Dunfermline Dundee voted against our inclusion and Dunfermline voted for our inclusion in the SPL in 2004. Dundee 0-5 Dunfermline Half Time. Second half It's a kerfuffle getting to Dunfermline on the train Dundee 1-5 Dunfermline In general, Dundee is a better day out that Dunfermline Dundee 2-5 Dunfermline Dundee got relegated in 2005, so it would be nice to have them back for a change. Dundee 3-5 Dunfermline Dundee will bring another SPL derby. Dundee 4-5 Dunfermline Dunfermline finished bottom of SPL with little reistance and Dundee had a very good season finishing 2nd in SFL1. Dundee 5-5 Dunfermline Full time Dundee 5-5 Dunfermline Extra time. Dundee in the league will pi55 off this man..... Dundee 6-5 Dunfermline Welcome to the SPL Dundee
  17. One of my gudgie friends was telling me the other day that he thinks it's going to be used for media. Maybe Charles can confirm this? I think however, they would have been better off keeping that section of the gound empty, but if if it gets more bums on seats then that's all that matters I suppose I can't laugh at them however. The stadium looks good. I notice Forza didn't upload the pictures of the other stands which do look impressive, albeit small.
  18. But out of 'sporting integrity' they could have a case that they were playing in a league where a team cheated. It's an interesting one. However, Dunfermline is a rubbish away day, Dundee is ok. Not the greatest away day, but better than Dunfermline so from purely the 'away day' experience, it would have to be extra trips to Dundee for me.
  19. If I remember rightly (after a re-vote) only 2 teams voted no. Partick Thistle (were getting relegated) and Dundee. This shouldn't and won't be taken into account if we have to vote Dundee in to the SPL imho. I'd support a yes to Dundee vote, it's about doing the right thing.
  20. Good stuff! I hope we see the best of him this year, because no doubt about it, he is a very good player.
  21. Well done Kenny. From the formation of our club in 1994, the amazing 3rd Division title season of 1997, THAT win on February 8th 2000, the First Division title of 2004, and the First Dvision title of 2010, I don't think i've ever felt so proud of our club. Heart of Midlothian, Dundee United, Hibernian, Inverness Caledonian Thistle and Aberdeen FC. The five clubs have shown the rest that fair play must come first.. I expect many other clubs to start saying no, (now it's filtering in that St Johnstone and even Kilmarnock are going to say no.) Now is the time for all of us to really get behind the club. I wasn't going to bother with buying the new strip as I haven't bought a strip in a few years, but as soon as it is released, I'll be placing my order. Every little helps. O2B. The first 5 clubs were significant. These 5 clubs have set the ball rolling to rebuild the game. We are 1 of them. The Famous Five! O2B a Jaggie!.
  22. Hibs have officially stated that they will say no?
