  2. I think adam was unfortunate at Birmingham. He would have been 2nd or 3rd choice striker when he first joined the Blues, as all the had was Zigic. But only a week or two after adam arrived, they brought in Marlon King. King was immense for the blues and with a fully fit Zigic, there was no real place for adam but the bench. I sincerely hope he comes good at swindon and makes an impact.
  3. There's something about the Benny Hill theme tune and Celtic FC that reminds me of this from last season...

  7. There's a place on academy street that had a poster int he window saying 'tickets here' for the Celtic match. I presume it's here AND Eden Court where tickets are now available in the town?
  8. To elaborate on your point sheepslagger, it'd appeal more to folk if the seat was sold at a reduced rate - after all, the seat has technically already been paid for. For instance, season ticket holders offer up their seats for a game they cant make, and people wanting tickets for the match can phone in advance and pre-book that seat for 5er off. Subject to availability of course. The only real issue with it would be policing it. What's to say a holder offers up their ticket, and then decided on match day that they could in fact make the fiture after all... hmmm
  9. Any update on how far Chris will be to making an appearance for us again.

It was only a matter of time before someone mentioned Munro and Tokely. It was also only a matter of time before someone compared our performance with them over the bridge last week. Can we please GTF with this rubbish and start supporting the team. They (T&M) are gone and they (the tinks) are not us. If you want munro and tokely, begger off over the bridge with them. I for one am staying put and will forever continue to support Inverness Caledonian Thistle through the good and the bad times. The start of yesterdays match was the worst I have seen since we went 4-0 down to Livingston inside 20 minutes in our Second Division Promotion season. The performance was worse than that of Dundee United last term, or indeed since anything of the second Brewster era. Yet I plan to make as many games, home and away, to support the team. I would love to have a season ticket and be there every week. Unfortunately, unforeseen circumstances and expences prevented me from doing so so close to the start of the season. So if you feel you've had enough (already, after 2 games at home) want to hand over yours, feel free to fire it my way. Thanks.

  13. For someone who doesnt tend to go to games when the OF are in town, I may take to opportunity to head through. Based on the 3 games thus far, I'd say the games have been high on the entertainment scale even for us armchair fans. To witness a fine performance so early in the season would be a fine treat to end the month. One thing I will say though, is that I sincerely hope the stewardship is fair across the board, and that if I stand and chant I wont get chastised for doing so, whilst away fans are allowed to continue.

  15. I've not made a game yet this season (only the pre-season matches of Elgin and Coventry-nil have had my company) but going on these past few games, I'd say it's looking like quite an entertaining season ahead. There's been goals in every game so far, penalties scored, penalties saved, sending's off in every game, late drama for and against us and apparently we're still top 6!! From what I hear (and going on the pre-season games I saw) I'd say we play a better passing game with less hoofing going on than what we did last season. If someone offered me all that when the fixtures were announced, given the loss of so many players, I'd bite their hand off, particularly singling today's result. The chances are there'll be a decent crowd next weekend, it is after all celtic, but it'll be interesting to see if the above has any impact on people returning to TCS in furture to witness some entertainment.

  19. Another excuse to stay away??? lol I'm sure the odd poundland pancho would surfice to keep them dry as well as keeping costs down
  20. Speaking of shops, I noticed JD Sports at the retail park are selling the new Ross C*unty strip. Obviously ICT struggled with the ZOO shop in the eastgate but perhaps they could re-visit the idea of selling shirts in a similar sports shop? Long gone are the days of that wee sport shop on Church Street that sold every kit in the land. Wouldn't it be great to have those days back???
  21. The club this year have a new season ticket, specifically aimed at families and it's for the uncovered main stand. 1 adult and 2 children for £220 for the season. £42 for an adult and a child would equate to well over £700 a season. Perhaps you could purchase this season ticket without breaking the bank, get your seat in the main stand and without turnstile hassle. Even if you only made 4 more games this season on those tickets, it's cheaper than paying £42 per game.
  22. Maybe some people decide not to go to games because they read certain posts about doom and gloom, poor entertainment and are reading comments that slag off those who actually try and get bums on seats??
  23. I think most of what you say can be seen as a reasonable account as to why someone may not want to turn up for games week in week out. IE The turnstile policy could be revised and home game discipline could be improved. But you let yourself down by saying 'I didnt feel compelled to ask for my money back on this occasion'. Do you ask for your money back often when the team doesn't gain 3-points/has a man sent off/concedes a penalty? My own reasons for not being at the game are simple. Trip to the vet, a few other errands to run and then I spent time with my family at the beech (it was glorious weather after all). Unfortunately by the time we'd been served our lunch in the cafe, time escaped us and we didn't get home till close-on kick-off. I had intended to purchase a season ticket this season, but unfortunately unforeseen circumstances and a fairly high vet's bill have put a dampener on that one too. The point I am trying to make is that there are many factors that prevent people going to games, on top of the clubs policies at the turnstiles etc. Maybe some people who usually pay-at-the-gate decided to spend time with their families on such a lovely day? Maybe some people simply can't afford to go to games - it is after all the holiday season, and dont forget, the kids go back to school this week meaning this was the last weekend to get bits done?
