    You're talking to a Highland Marcher here - Pain? Pain i ask you? P'ah, it's just a 4-letter word.

If i were to get this done elsewhere, then the club would actually get bigger over time . :thumb04: :018: (there's always one to lower the tone!!!)
  3. Although I see where you are coming from there, I dont think you have to go to all, or even the majority of games to see poor stewarding. Take for example the St Mirren match that us Highland Marchers walked to the other season. My wee lad (marc), who was 7 at the time, was sitting with his feet on the back of the chair in front for much of the match, not in anyones way and certainly not causing a neusence. A steward marched from the bottom of the stand to our location at the back, tapped his feet off the chair and in a harsh tone told him to not do it. he by-passed every single youth and adult doing exactly the same without so much as a glace. To say I was angry about this is an understatement, and I even got more harsh words for even contacting St Mirren about this than I did an apology. This incident may well have been a one off - but I doubt it. It took just one action from that steward to put me off going to st mirren again for a long time, let alone leaving marc in floods of tears till we reached Perth McDonalds en route home, and he was scared of every steward he came accross during the first few games of last season. If this had happened in our own stadium to a home supporter, no doubt they would steer clear of future games just like I intended to steer clear of St Mirren. Even punters seeing others treated in such ways would perhaps put people off.
  4. Your idea seems great on paper Don, and if the club started this scheme for 'smaller' games such as Hamilton, Killie & Montherwell, then we shall surely see a return when you consider people would purchase items on the day (catering, Programmes) Even starting off as small as 500 free child tickets, they could set the adult prices as between ?5 or ?10 say. The 500 or so children mentioned would need to be from local primary schools, or even those who once had season tickets and now dont due to finacial restraints.
  5. I am really liking the formal information you are putting forward to the club and agree with BillyShears that we could do with slightly more detail in their, yet perhaps no to the extent mentioned, as all points will no doubt be elaberated on during any up and coming meetings with the club. May I also suggest that we have a list of personel who would be able to attend any meetings on a regular basis. If we had 3-5 people at meetings, we would get more of a view point whilst also missing very little off any minutes that may be taken for the 'boardroom banta' correspondence. These people would also be a new voice who can perhaps in time work with the trust, supporters club and ICT themselves to push all communications and the club further. I for one would be willing.
  6. Is that statement the right way round? Erm - woops..... oh well, you get my meaning.
  7. let football get in the way of a party? never!!! Why else do you think we wanted a friday wedding - i'd be named and shamed on soccer am otherwise!!! In all seriousness, I am willin to throw my name into the hat as someone willin to present any ideas to the club, along with IHE, Scotty and anyone else who wants to see ICT become more involved with its fans, as well as progress further on our historic climb so far.
  8. Cheers Scotty et all. IHE - Most of my suggestions are on the 'if the club are interested' sticky thread. Feel free to include these to the standing agenda. If there is anything more I can do, let me know. Scotty - I am sure I have something on at the stadium on the 26th. Can't mind what it is. All I know it that it will involve a copious amount of alcohol, therefore I will not be able to join you on the 27th, should that be an option.

If it was a choice of those 3, then a club shop would be top of the list. The stadium is fine - but could do with the ends of the main stand covered fully Club Museum?.... na... waste of money. You'd be better off having memorabilia decorating the new club shop. (Theres a similar thread in the 'stickied' section for ideas to put to the club... 'If the club areinterested')

I affraid to say I agree 100%. I have made no secret in the past that he is by far my most favoured player at ICT. I dont think (aside from a few spectacular 25-20 yarders) that he is anything special, and I don't miss him in our line up. IMO, he's going to have to work VERY hard - harder than ever - to regain his place in the starting 11. Vigurs seems to be getting better with every match, and Black has been immense so far this season. I can seriously see him going the same way as Caff - out of the side a wee bit too long that his match fitness dwindles and he gets palmed out on loan in and attempt to get back to speed...
  11. I for one would be up for a meeting a month with the club. I have no problem with this. Our intentions as fans/supporters seem to be to assist the club in moving forward, yet we need the club to WANT this added assistance. I agree the Trust should perhaps speak out more and not settle for a 'we'll look into it' response at meetings. They should push for a solution and force an action. if ideas and questions seem un-realistic and inethical, then at leat all ideas are being considered and not simply pushed to one side.
  12. Let me take a stab at this one........Because the club and those charged with its care, lack initiative? This, IMO, is a very positive soulution to getting more people into the stadium. there is a family section, so why not offer a family section season ticket? There are so many ways to put bums on seats. Granted, the club hve made an effort with the Under 8's offer, but why not increse the age to under 12? There would certainly be alot more demand for that, and the club can make a fair sum from it... Family season ticket for the price of 2 adults - I for one would go for that!!! (Idea now added to the 'sticky' topic for club officials to review - feel free to post more ideas. It's OUR club, so lets do something about it)
  13. I must agree with SMEE that if people are paying upwards of ?70-80 quid for 2 hours at a game with their families, the club should be doing more to provide better facilites, aswell as CB and the team producing better football. From what i heard of saturdays match, we played well for much of the match yet seemed to be cancelled out by hibs. End to End stuff by all accounts? Had i been there I would perhaps be satisfied with the money spent. we're 3 matches into the new campaign and have a cup run to begin midweek - let get behind the team, win loose or draw.

Agree 100% so long as these 2 players get a regular enough run out, we will have ourelves so many options in the midfield that we can finally produce flowing passing football, take on defenders and get rid of the long ball cr@p we've witnessed in recent years
  15. I tuned into the radio to hear the match at parkhead this afternoon. Partly as a fan of Dennis Wyness and partly to see if we would be top of the league for the second day of the season! Seemed strange to see who the referee was (Smith) after the controversial Nakamura free kick at love street last season. Anywho - sounded like the saints were unlucky today, and Wyness did make his appearence late on, and ICT are still top of the league - Woo Hoo. One wee twist though - How can Allan McGregor be man of the match when he plays for rangers? BBC balls up
  16. did we not get roy mcbain from them too? cool

I used to head to Fort George with a mate of mine and watch then train, and have a kick about ourselves too... Perhaps it's as my mate always wore his Dundee Utd kit whenever we were down? I actualy think it's something to do with the pitch quality. I play up cullodean pitches in the welfare league, and it's pretty damn good. Fort George own the previous pitch as i understand it, and didn't used to keep it as neat and trim - they were not getting any perks from the club for use of the fields either

I hope marius keeps the good memories of ICT and not the shambles of his departure. The people who really cared for marius were his fans, and as someone has said, they peobably played a massive part in kick-starting his intenational career. I disagree that marius held us back in the first half of the season - to an extent. The man had just come back from an injruy and did not have a pre-season like the other lads. He also had the added stress of a work permit which was inicially declined. It all boils down to the Managers' decision, and if CC or CB chose to leave him out then fair enough. He played well against Celtic at parkhead and even gordon strachen stated he has ability that would shine through later in the season - which it did. I, like everyone else, would love to see the club progress and come out of this a better club. Learning from these kind of mistakes (no matter how monumental) can surely make us stronger - I still fail to see that this can happen. The club have been tarred as an amature outfit, and until we get a more professional board/DoF then we certainly can't match progress.

FACT: Marius takes pay cut to play for ICT Marius states his intention to Join International Squad once more and that was the reason he joined ICT ICT and Orion agree to pay for the player and put all details into their 2 year budget Marius states his intention to see out, if not extend his contract, saying he is happy in inverness (Did he not also say he loved scotland for the fishing?) Rumours of a bust up between Marius and other players prove to be faulse as Ian Black even states he is probably his closest friend in scotland, and they all get on well at training - I might just add here that playing at the same fields the club trained at last year, he was more of a moral booster than a moral looser!!! New Chairman and Sutherland control see club state intention to Marius they want rid of him In all of this, I fail to see how ICT can possibly come out of this as innocent. I personally give credit to Stevico1 for being as honest as he can be in the circumstances

Is there not a saying "honesty is the best policy" If only we had all been informed of the whole story rather than the sugar coating that has gone on in recent weeks. All that remains for me to say is... THANK YOU MARIUS - You were entertaining to watch and a gentleman in your ICT tenure. I wish you every success with your new prospects, and hope somehow, somewhere, you can look back and think about the fans at ICT that made you so welcome, rather than the fiasco that has ended your time in the Highlands

Regarding my previous posting yesterday on this thread, I apologise for making it seem like I am pointing fingers and adding fuel to the fire. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, and the more this saga continues, the more ludicrous and meaningless opinions/postings we are going to recieve. I thank Mr DS for his handling of things in his time at the club, the time and money he has invested into ICT and for the huge effort it must have taken to get an SPL standard ground sorted in such a short timescale. But my previous posting was not to offend, only to voice my own opinion (how ever ridiculaous it may seem to others) and thoughts on this entire affair. Seeing our major shareholder's name appearing more than our chairman's, it strikes me as exremely strange (or indeed coincidental) that monies recieved from this sale will probably not make its way into CB's transfer pool. Once again I apologise for my previous posting that may have caused offence - it was only voiced as an observation/opinion
  22. Joonya replied to Harry Chibber's topic in Caley Thistle
it's seeming more and more like this is to do with lining certain shareholders pockets more than the interests of the player or club on a whole. if ICT as a CLUB wanted to cash in for ?500k, then they surely would have 1 or 2, maybe even 3 signings on the cards to strengthen where we are week - currently at the back, with our strike force coming in a very very close second. Rather than clearing debts that are not actually there!!! It is, as someone said earlier, astonishing to hear nothing coming from our Chairman, offical website or indeed an official statement in the press. The comments in the paper only read as passing comments and nothing concrete - nothing more than an excuse / cover up for the farce that is happening with this transfer. Similar happened with Dennis only not on this scale. He too wanted an extention and was offered such a thing - yet someone, somewhere, fecked that up too. Only difference here (besides fees) being that there is one persons name constantly mentioned regarding Niculae that was never mentioned with any other departues - and that name is David Sutherland. But Why???
  23. Joonya replied to Harry Chibber's topic in Caley Thistle
This still seems to me as some sort of politics battle within ICT. The hype surrounding Niculaes arrival compaired to the stress, incompetence and 'desperate to release him mood' surrounding his departure only go so far in proving this point. The truth WILL eventually come out. Perhaps not this week, but it will. The way the club have treated Marius is a discrace, and they have dragged ICT's name right into the gutter :33:
  24. I've got a bottle of the Limited Edition ICT Whisky. I have not seen the bottle since it was bought - it's still in the protective wrapping and whisky shop bag that it was stored in. No-way will I seel that - at least not for less than ?400k :004:
  25. Joonya replied to Harry Chibber's topic in Caley Thistle
If the club have indeed sold Marius for 400k euros (around ?250k-?300k) then that is only seen in my eyes as someone within the club seriously desperate to rid ICT of their 'star' player. That, or there is less money in the ICT coffers that we are lead to believe, meaning we may well be in financial worries off the park. Either way, the handling of the entire affair is a discrace. I was glad to see him play one more time (v county) before his departure. I just hope he bangs in the goals at bucherest to show our ICT board just how good a player they have let slip through the net :symbol_exclaim01:
