Quite right LIzi but I didn't go as far as to call him a commentator just a commenter. A plebiplonker sounds good to me.

I am in complete agreement with you Rasczac, the coverage was absolutely pathetic again, is it any wonder we are not getting larger crowds at our games when we are being starved of publicity. All the attention was given to the usual suspects yet we are only behind Celtic on goal difference. I think we may have got half a second's more coverage than Brora. I fear that if we were to win the European cup the headlines would be based on what the Old Firm were planning to do the next season. As for Chick's match comments well!!!!!!!!!! If he is near our Stadium tomorrow night, I hope someone will put him in a rowing boat with the oars chained up and send him out on a fast receding tide.. He can be rescued after the match is over by the BBC helicopter.

Yes, Bughtmaster, happy days indeed. Just one small point, Willie Donnachie played for Clach!! There is a photo on another thread of the Clach team which includes him. The Caley left winger was usually Ernie Fraser. Full Caley team from that era (1950/51ish) was usually :- Bruce McGillivray Maronski (spelling??) 'Stootie' Fraser took over at left back when Maronski returned to Poland! Bolt McKinnon McIntosh McBeth Jamieson Mitchell McKenzie Fraser I know its difficult to compare teams from different eras, but I don't ever remember a better Caley team. Glad to here that 'Stootie' Fraser is sill alive. I wonder how many others? The only one I was in touch with for a while was 'Ginger'/Donnie McKenzie. I visited him a couple of times in Winnepeg, but that is going back more years than I care to remember! Laughing my head off here about Willie Donnachie, another senior moment I'm afraid, however my perfect Caley team included Bob Galloway at left back but I cant remember when he came into the Team 'cause I can remember Stootie in the team as well. There always seemed to be good crowds at Telford Street in these days and I remember the crush to change ends at half time. Us younguns used to run along the touch line to get behind the goals, no stewards needed in these days!!

AHHAA, Caley mad far away in Berks that is my era too, Frankie MacBeath on the right wing and Willie Donnachie on the left getting the ball in for Ginger MacKenzie to nod home from the inside left position Willie Bruce in goals and Bobby Bolt right half, Peter Mckinnon centre half all great players. I heard that the Arab stemmed from Frankie's fondness of a visit to the pub before and after the match, I can't verify it though. Good memories CMIB happy Caley days.

Kingsmills i was going to ignore your remarks of aggressiveness on my part, but in fairness I would ask you to go back and read the initial reports of some of the offenders they were a lot more offensive than any of mine, and some were certainly not reserved. Besides someone #had to stand up, defend and attack the rollicking that was going on. Later these posters did temper their retorts and then used the defence of just voicing their tactical opinions. Anyway water under the bridge now the 'doubters' have been proved wrong.

People wondered why I was so scathing about who I called the Negativateers ( as opposed to Musketeers ). Well you don't have to be much of a visionary to understand the whole concept of what ICT is all about, it is doing the best you can with the limited resources available and that was precisely why I got so angry when the rumpus started over the enlistment of John Hughes. No real thought seemed to have gone into many of the comments made at that time and certainly there was very little patience shown towards the style of play that he envisaged and has now implemented so well with a squad he believes in. It is testament to him that other clubs are now trying to emulate our style of play.( albeit as yet a very poor facsimile on their part ) Mr Cameron, a true visionary, obviously saw in John the man to take our Club forward and still keep us from falling into the debt trap. How right Mr Cameron has been in his wisdom of choice and how right he is in his leadership of the Club, We have a lot to thank him for. As our remarkable Chairman has outlined in this article, the club has, with only one real glitch, progressed surely since it's conception and with his continued leadership and the backing and faith of the supporters there is no reason why higher achievement will not be forthcoming. Aye Immortal H. Ender the Roller Coaster will continue and YES let's enjoy what is happening.
