We have lost one game, we played poorly yes yes yes. There was little, almost no real encouragement from the fans against the SPL champions and you wonder why the players lost their fire? They must have been bemused by the lack of support, especially too at the abuse thrown at them. How would you feel if you had been on the field experiencing that? probably some of you would have faked injury to get replaced because you certainly are not STAYERS!!! You dont seem to be able to stay loyal, the least bit forgiving, or the least bit patient. Give the Team a chance, you dont have to wear rose coloured specs to see what this Team could be capable of, unless of course you keep wearing dark glasses in a storm. Be prepared to have a feast on your words at the end of this season.
  2. Spot on D. D. couldn't aggree with you more and that is why a lot of real fans stay away from games. Is it any wonder Butcher loses the head with the crowd when at home.....The only real backing the team gets seems to come from these great travelling supporters we get when away from home, few they may be but they get behind our players and the noise of encouragement (not abuse) is always audible and great to hear. I always wish I was with them. When on rare occasions i get to home games I am always dismayed by what I dont hear and further dismayed by what i do hear. Great post D.D. I hope it hits home.................but I very much doubt it will because of the mentality of certain idiots. They should be in a section of their own, preferably under the Kessock Bridge.
  3. Woah there, Yes we had an off day a really crazy off day as far as passing is concerned but Mr Butcher will have learned a great deal from it and so will the players so much so that we will beat Celtic in our next meeting. We now see a new strike force emerging with Andrew, Billy, Ross Draper, and Connor leading, then Meekings, Waren, Foran, alternating up with them. The defence will soon be strenthened into Hogg, OTJ, and G Shinnie. In the meantime King and Raven are there to fill the gaps. Imo Pepper should not be overplayed, he is not quite ready to make starts but Morrison or Ross could make the first half contribution paving the way for the second half Esson doesn't seem to wake up fully until he has let in a couple of goals then he can play a blinder almost as if he knows he has to make up for his mistakes. I hope our Spannish lad gets his chance against Arbroath I would like to see just what he can do and it could also keep Esson more alert at the start of games if he sees he has a real rival threat. I am not a bit downhearted, I sort of expected a loss with Lennon playing his mind games of tiredness, injuries, travel and ''important matches coming up'' all planned to raise expectations of ICT players and supporters and covering his own back in case the unexpected happened.

Thanks, always good to be in the know. hope we see our first win.
  5. Hey lads whats in the water these days? you are all sounding positive, great to hear! You can virtually permutate a winning team from all the suggestions on here. For my part I like Luke's 4-1-5 attacking formation and yes IHE probably meekings in the team if that formation is changed to a 4-3-3. Either would give best attacking options and i would start with the latter to sound out Hearts attack ability then quickly change it to the former if as I believe hearts front men will be ineffective.
  6. Scarlet on this one I beg to differ ! It takes more than fitness past ability and training regimes to play at International level. I agree they do help but! No matter how good the players in your team are it is the opposition that you are playing against that keeps you up to scratch. As I said before all I have against Ian is his deplorable record and when you take into account that it is mainly times when he is outsmarted that causes him to commit these offences I am afraid if frustration sets in then mistakes are made. Playing against superior opposition will eventually catch him out. ( not relevant to your post ) As for the boo boys they should be shamed, as IHE would say ''another black mark for Scotland.''
  7. Now that would bring the crowds in !!!!
  8. Political decision yes Equitable distribution yes a word starting cor and ending ion comes into the equation too plus a hell of a lot more that really has to be sorted out. The opportunity was there but nobody had the guts to start the ball rolling, they opted for the easy way out and covered eachothers backs, jobs and perques for the boys and all that.
  9. All it needs, in my opinion, is for the clubs to demand a more equal share of revenue. That's it. Presumably none of the bigger clubs came in for him though. And he never played for Scotland when with Hearts or Inverness. I find it strange that, one of the only Hearts players to hold his own against Spurs is overlooked but that seems to be the reality. I doubt he was turning down Liverpool, Chelsea or Man city to sign for Rangers. Hell, I doubt he was even turning down Leeds, Wigan and Watford. What he has got out of it is a possible Scotland cap and more money when it dd look as though no-one was looking to sign him. I think it might need a little bit more than that Starchief, if only it was that simple
  10. O K so Ian gets called up for this one, past performances being the credentials for this. So he is now part of the squad. How does he keep himself sharp enough playing against third division opposition to warrant his inclusion in the future? I agree with those who are saying it is only because he now plays for this newco lot. I am almost at the point where I say football enough is enough. It is the Fans of all the other clubs barring one that are being punished for Ranger's misdemeanours. We wont see our players getting their chance no matter how good they are. We dont get live broadcasts on the BBC radio anymore unless the game is against a 'BIG' club yet third Div. Newco has its own private contract for its fans. Youl iisten to OAM and most of the childish discussion is about either Celtic or Rangers (They still call them that) even if they are not playing that day. Blowing up their wonderful performances of the past whilst interjecting a few sarcastic or patronising remarks about the other games / Teams Is it any wonder attendances are falling at matches, people especially kids are being brainwashed into following one of two teams. Come on Fanpower it is time for change. It, Fanpower, worked for the integrity aspect in the Rangers saga they did fold thanks to that but would not have otherwise. I am not clever enough to give the answers or to lead a revolution in the Scottish football world but I do know that something stinks and needs mucking out. I hope somebody out there can resolve this parody of sport before it becomes even more rotten. I'll finish by saying I have nothing against Ian Black except his disciplinary record, he can be a very good player but he cannot be a top performer playing in the third Division. It is even unfair to ask him to do so as it could frustrate him entirely when up against true International players. Change your Club Ian first opportunity!!!!!
  11. Where is the benefit in me joining it? I would quite happily contact the people involved and tell them what they should be doing better. Do you really think they doing everything they can? Are you really that good ? Do you actually know what they should be doing better. My, my perhaps you should join the management team, why have we missed out on you for so long. We haven't lost a game this season, is that so bad?
  12. Absolutely. Old Rangers wound up with over £100million of debt and new Rangers spend freely in the transfer market just to show that now that they have re-emerged as a debt free club, they have more money than the rest of us. Potential investors who would not have put their money in to subsidise the debt of old Rangers can now feel confident that their money can be used to take the club forward. I understand this is the way company law works but it doesn't make it right. No it doesn't make it right and it is the only way that Newco are ever going to beat other Clubs, they have to buy success. However that is the way of the world,if you cant be clever enough to avoid being caught cheating then money is the alternative route, buy your way to the top of the ladder. That isn't right either but honesty doesn't seem to matter as long as you find success!!
  13. Cynical not a bit, realistic yes. Possibly they already have assurances of the new superleague step up that nobody else yet knows about. Now am I being cynical? don't think so, not by going by recent history and the fanatical need to get THEM back to the forefront. Not doing badly for a new Team in the third div but I'm still not sure what their real name is now???????? hope they get it settled before long. Maybe anticipating a rejig of Scottish football for next season with a 2 league system and the additions to the top league being by invitation, so that next year they will be back where they think they belong? Or does that sound extremely cynical?
  14. Looks pretty generous but not for me ta IHE
  15. Feck me IHE your coming round to positive thinking. Are you maturing?............... yes you are! wish I had a smiley
  16. Can we have everything all ay once??............... Patience laddie patience!!!!!
  17. Hooray ! apart from the odd comment there does appear to be a much more positive approach from our posters, Glad all those who were there enjoyed the match. I had to put up with 'open all mics' now if there is something I cannot be positive about it is that, so much f'n drivel by a bunch of so called pundits. I heard more adult and sensible appraisals in my primary school playground days it was pathetic. now i read the broadcasting of individual matches has ceased for this season. another farce and probably, I surmise, that concentration can be put on the more important third division. Anyhow We have made a very satisfactory start and that is good. ( still lost my smileys! how do i get them back ? )
  18. Oh Yeh! trying to get him all fired up are you IHE ?? (Still no smileys 00) Oh and renegade there are more than two or three of us north of Dingwall !!
  19. I thought we were trying to encourage more support for ICT, dont think that is the way to do it RENEGADE' then again maybe that is how you came about your name ???? You want to try living in this 'yokel country' as you put it it would open your eyes and refresh your brain (sorry no smileys available)
  20. definately there in spirit
  21. Thanks Oddquine, I was beginning to think my computer was playing up again.
  22. Is there anybody there ?
  23. My forecast, apart from Celtic who are going to get some shocks this season, it is going to be a close run thing for all clubs at both ends of the spectrum. ICT fifth. However fingers crossed in the injury department. Incidentally Oldcaleygirl the King is coming on Wednesday, how right you were!!! Billy Dodds ! ? he knows about as much as that other Crateur that spouts doom and gloom and tells us we need a song. D0on't want to remember his name really, would use up too many brain cells want to keep it positive
