A new season, a new start
Quite right Luke, certain people think they know it all and nothing will change their minds. There also seems to be a certain element within this forum that seem to want to stirr things up all the time and yet they call themselves supporters! I've always thought the word support meant to prop up, uphold, to get behind in a positive manner! There is a a nucleus of players in the squad with real potential, not quite field wise yet but that will come sooner rather than later. When it does I wonder if these guys will be as quick to eat their words???

The Highland Derby
Back in the forties/fifties it was Clach that were the arch enemies,Thistle, County and Nairn were usually well worth going to as there was always a bit of needle there but to be honest none of these games really stand out in my memory. Qualifying cup games were what we always looked forward to especially the biggies against the first/second division teams who always looked nervous against us. In those days we always seemed to get into the 'big rounds' Sorry Proctor I cant help either but good luck with your project..

Is Butcher the Man for the Job?
I must admit i have felt the same about the relegation factor however I am now beginning to get concerned abot the next four games Dunfermline are fighting for their chances. On todays performance we are obviously not fighting to the same extent. The others in the bottom six must be sensing our blood and fear and will want to cash in on us. So who are we going to take the last few important points from ? or do we just have to hope Dunfermline will panic and fall at the last hurdle? Yes my positivity is waning slightly but my hopes are still high! Maybe we should put Golobart and Gillet as our strike force next game.

Tade offered new deal!
I have just had a vision of twin roadrunners on speed. Same one as I had months ago only it was the Tade / Golobart connection seriously He is avery usefull player to have and we should be glad he is going to be with us again coming season.

SFA NFL
Quite right Sorted but I'm sure you will get over it some day

SFA NFL
It all sounds very promising, I have one concern however, that of regionalisation. I just hope there isn't an underlying threat to us Heiland Clubs, that of excluding us from playing with the 'BIG' clubs because of the travel situation. Maybe I am just a suspicious old Highlander but it was them Lowlanders that supported the clearances

SFA NFL
maybe the revolution is starting ? I look forward to details of the format, Two divisions of 21 or three of 14 or will it be a select super division of two (old firm only), who knows ? maybe some other ingenious set up. Whatever the format any New clubs should start in the lowest league dont you think?

Well said DoofersDad, OF rule Scottish football, definately time for change and I think it is beginning to dawn on other clubs that they should start standing up for themselves. Roll on the revolution!!!!

SPL NewCo Rules Situation
This topic has now changed to Rangers and Finances with the emphasis on TV money! Exclude Rangers from the SPL and Celtic will suffer most. The Glasgow crowds will drop and Celtic will not have the same monies coming in, consequently their team will weaken through time, dropping to the affordable levels of other SPL Clubs. The Games throughout the league will become much more competitive and more ineresting to viewers simply because nobody will be able to forecast the outcome at the end of the season. The rivalry of other local Derbies will bring larger crowds in to home grounds of all SPL teams and TV Companies will be falling over themselves to win the contracts. Not everything should revolve round the O.F. and now is the time to make that much needed change!

SPL NewCo Rules Situation
A new team i.e. NewCo should start in the lowest division and work its way up to the SPL just like ICT and our neighbours and many other clubs have done. There is no fairer option or is there any good reason to allow anything other than that. In fact should not a new team entering Scottish football be subject to election first by the SFA and should not the SFA be bound as a matter of principle to ensure guarantees from any new club that they abide by the rules and regulations within the organisation of the leagues therein? Any NewCo FC should be made to prove their worthyness by results and by their conduct in terms of playing and management before getting near the SPL. There is an excellent chance here to show the world that Scotland will not tolerate management cheats and skullduggery by Directors and schemeing unscrupulous owners. Tough on the fans and followers yes but cheating on a huge scale cannot and should not go unpunished and any self respecting fan or follower will / should accept this, especially if their NewCo can attain new heights by playing fair. As for me I'm ghoing to carry on watching football and especially ICT's progress.

How did you become a fan?
As a boy living in Laurel Ave nearly all my pals were Caley supporters and we followed most of their games, then came my Techy years when I had to make myself some pocket money so had to get a job as ' message boy ' working after school and on Saturdays so didn't have the same opportunity to watch them but couldn't wait to hear how they got on. Then came National Service, most of my time in Germany, still keen to hear Caley results, demobbed my work took me all over GB, again I couldn't wait to hear the results on radio. Now retired and living in the Highlands again I think it must be an addiction because now I'm typing this and at times slating those folk who are negative about my team in this same forum. Could never understand why anyone could support any other team if they had the slightest Sneck connection. I predicted in my younger days that one day Caley would win the Scottish cup and play in the then first division maybe even win it. Still got my fingers crossed and still think they will!!! pass me my rose tinted specs please !!! ICT man and proud of it!!! :love02: :love02: :love02:
