Dear Mr Cameron,
Agree 100%. It has to be NO to newco Rangers, the remnant of an arrogant, deluded and dishonest club. Any financial consequences for Scottish football can and will be dealt with.

Dates for Scottish Cup
Does anyone know why the 4th round has been moved from it's usual first Sat in January slot?

He will sign for them, it's a no-brainer for Jonny there's a Nando's in Aberdeen...

Tabloid speak
In tabloidese players are often "flattered" that a bigger club has been "tracking" them. Said club may then "swoop". The one that makes me choke on my cornflakes is when somebody has "admitted" to being a "self-confessed" fan of either half of Old Filth. Boak.

Tansey leaves ICT
Agreed we've got to start offering 2 year deals if the club are serious about staying in the SPL - also at least then if anybody's interested in a player after a year they will command a fee, however modest. Restricting finances to the extent that we are continually stitching a team together from other peoples cast offs is false economy and will end with us playing part-time in D1.

Salt v Sauce - predictions?
A disappointment for the neutral was never really a contest, and another Scottish refereeing masterclass helped Hearts as if they needed it.

Ross Tokely thinking of bowing out
Agree it looked at the end of the game and when the players came back out as if Rossco knew that was the end. Hope that's not the case. As IHE says if the club failed to mark such an occasion it would be an absolute travesty. We'll see....

Possible Transfer Targets
I don't think the club should resign Jonny Tuffey. Absolutely nothing against the boy but in our situation, with weaknesses to be addressed, carrying two proven experienced keepers is arguably a luxury we can't afford. Butcher certainly should look to the SFL for players I very much doubt that he will.

Butcher wants Tansey and McKay to stay
Agree that Tansey can improve and I think he has done as the season's gone on. Not entirely convinced by McKay despite his workrate. Suppose he deserves another chance though but we simply have to keep the ball on the floor and play it into feet if he is to succeed. Could look a much better player with Andrew Shinnie playing just off him.

Let us not be divided....
Excellent post CaleyD. It's been a horrible season but let's show that as a support we can be there to encourage the team in the bad times as well as the good, whatever our opinions are.

Is Butcher the Man for the Job?
He should get a chance to sort this team out over the summer. It will take a lot of sorting. After that I'd give him and Maurice Malpas until Christmas to prove they can take things forward. It's no use waiting till March/April to change a manager.

Player of the Year Poll - St Johnstone
Sir Roscoe of Tokely Tuffey McKay
-
ICT -V- St Johnstone
I honestly felt sorry for McKay tonight what on earth is a player of his height and build supposed to do with the kind of service he was getting? To just lump the ball high and long towards him is insane. In the absence of Hayes and Doran play Ross wide and get him to try to put crosses in. And push Foran forward in support. Like many others got to mention Tokely he was magnificent. Thought his time may have passed a couple of months ago but been well and truly proved wrong.

Rebuild this Summer or Not?
The club needs to start looking at SFL players rather than just taking on English based frees and loanees. Craig Reid of QOS had a great game in defence in their cup tie at Aberdeen a few weeks ago and is out of contract this summer. Worth a look.

Point total compared with previous seasons
Food for thought. Basically we're back to where we started under Butcher after a three year rollercoaster ride. Albeit we will almost certainly stay up this season.

Manager satisfaction survey
Yes still reasonably satisfied overall, I think Butcher has enough credit in the bank with most fans despite this dog's breakfast of a season. And the injuries have been a justifiable excuse for some of our problems. A crucial summer lies ahead however. The defence must be sorted if we are to stay up next season and that should not mean scratching around for loanees.
