Replay is live! Switched to Wednesday 18th.
12th Man replied to Caleyuntiltheend's topic in Caley Thistle
Stick a bet on it now!! I had a dream the Thursday before the first game that we drew 1-1. I told my dad and brother that I had a wee betting tip for them to lump on 1-1 but didn't really think to put a bet on it. And low and behold we drew 1-1!! I'll update any dreams I have this week!! Well I think the odds on Wilson as an any time scorer must be pretty good. -
leagues above the other comments, so good I may even complement you on it the next time I spot you in the Archers bar at Loopallu, as I scrounge a pint off you.

I had a dream that we beat the pars 2-0,the only down side was that I missed the start, imagine that late for your own dream so someone told that we were 1-0 up, then Barry Wilson??? scored the second hang on, his goal was remarkably like the goal against Motherwell when we knocked them out of the cup,the ball was floated in from the right hand side over the keeper and in to the top lhs of the goal whilst the keeper was off the line. Anyway back to reality, I think I may be staying in Dunf or Rothes prem inn next week so will def be going, making a noise at the game is far better than shouting at a tv so looking forward to the match, the last time I was there, Cox won the game in our first match back in the 1st div. That was the match that IHE looked confused and elated at the same time, as the ICT fans were making so much noise for the Caley Jags when he arrived. -
I assume you only made it 20 ft high because of the gas pipe.

Thanks for the heads up I usually keep an eye out for the fixtures but have been so busy of late I forgot to check. I usually check the SPL too http://www.scotprem.com/content/default.asp?page=home_Fixtures

With any luck we can get a years worth of penalties in the one game in a couple of weeks time.

I think it looks like he could be a number 1 at the back and possibly a number 1 on the top and sides too

Regarding the options Stratton- good for Smithton Culloden and Balloch but is too far for the city dwellers and the A96 would become too conjested just the same as the southern distributor road would too if that was the access route but back then Seafield was never an option as it was never available but with a bit of forward planning I would say Seafield is the ideal location, still right next to the A9 except this time south bound fans wont affect city traffic like they do at the kessock bridge and home fans wether driving or on foot disperse in all directions and not through an industrial estate as at present, it would certainly be the greener option and will most likely have a railway station on site too, looking at google maps its about the same walking from dalneigh to TCS as it is from Dalneigh to Seafield, It would be surrounded by Drakies, the Crown, Raigmore, Inshes,Cradlehall and West hill, walkable from Dalneigh, Hilton,Culloden and Smithton and should be far better at reducing conjestion when driving. I feel it would be brought into the heart of the community if it was placed there and will be right next to the uni. With units generating income in a popular location. There is a bit of a stumbling block regarding Stratton and Seafield as both parties need to get together to create a road infrastructure but if we make a note of interest at least its another piece of the jigsaw put in place. Ive said all this before but still believe its a great location but the new road infrastructure will need to be in place first. Just has a peak at Dons last post, I hate the Southern distributor road as it is, never mind putting an extra 1000 cars on it and putting the stadium 5 miles from the A9 by road, its Inverness's football club so should be local to all.

No from me too, Im not prepared to surrender our vocal support for an extra bit of Celtic cash, with that you may as well let them win, I would rather we had a good home support and gave them a real hard game providing we get past the Pars first.
-
Well Charles are ICT likely to get the same amount of funding from so many sources if it were to relocate? Or is it unlikely now that we are in the SPL.
-
I think we will have to agree to disagree on using £750,000 to build a forth stadium when we cant currently fill what we have. I dont think more fans will turn up because there is an extra stand to look at. The pars have closed one of the main stands to save money and thats a stand that is already there, no maintenance, cleaning, gritting, clearing snow, no security or police and no catering staff. So they are saving money by not using something that they already have, Using that logic if you were to approach ICT and give them 3/4M on the understanding that it was solely to build a 4th stand maybe they wouldnt want it. as it would cost them more money to look after it than to not have it at all. Im all for a forth stand but only when it has a purpose and that time hasnt arrived yet.
-
Im all for a forth stand but we have to fill all the home seats first, no point till that happens. Would a hotel build an extension to give itself more beds when it cant even hit 60% capacity with what it has.
-
I wouldnt say that fans are being pessimistic its just disrespectful to assume the Pars game is won before ko, I believe we can win but we still have to win,Just the same as it would be arrogant of Celtic with all their money and size of support to expect to win the cup.

Regarding popularity fellow SPL fans were gutted when we were relegated, Inverness really is a great place to come to make a weekend of it. Stadium I would like to see an eventual move or at least land set aside near the new campus (5-15 years away) but cant really see the point of an extra stand either. As for County their stadium wont be that great as their east stand is being elongated which means that the seating section will still remain only about 10 seats deep no atmosphere there then. I would say that the North stand is somewhat restricted due to depth and will actually be smaller than ours. They need another 3500 seats and going by their stats and the size of travelling support I would assume that the seating requirements will mainly go in the away end any less than 2000 for away support and their loseing money. add 2000 away seats on to 2590 their current amount of seats which makes 4590 a few hundred more on the east stand ends could put it up to 4800 which means a tiny jail end. Pure speculation of course but I would assume a north stand of no greater than 1500-2000 which kind of throws out my calculations a bit but will still be smaller than our 2500 seater north stand so to summerise Victoria Park will kind of look the same but with an extended thin row of seats along the East Stand and a North and South stand smaller than ours. Well done Dougal you must chuckle to yourself when typing this stuff up and you always get a good reply.

I couldnt make the game as was away for a few days, thats undefeated for a few games now, still in the cup against a team that all the posters think are woeful, tv money thrown in too for the replay and a money making tie against Celtic for the winning team. All we need to do now is beat Motherwell on Saturday and close the gap between ourselves and third spot and its been a pretty good week.

SKY + ? I was given an internet radio and tv player dongle at christmas which picks up 20,000 radio stations and 5,000 tv stations globally,it even picked up the recent old firm match, didnt need to watch it online of course as I watched it on tv but just wanted to see if I could find it, it might be of use for the overseas comrades but I dont know how much it cost or even if it works ok outwith the UK. Its a PROlectrix usb worldwide Internet Radio and TV Player. They cost around a tenner radio is good quality and the tv quality is what you would expect from streaming, this link may also be useful for connecting to the tv -
Only focusing on the pars for now, nice little tv earner and will try and get to the game if down in the area, after all ICT will get half of the gate money, If not, tv for me, we still need to beat them before making Celtic come and play a team that we have beaten half the time in the cup.

Considering we dont have any pre organised midweek home league fixtures, us season ticket holders dont have it that bad this season regarding getting to TCS midweek, theres one after the split but we still dont know if its home or away.
-
Good man, well done.
-
If he feels his improving all the time then its probably good for all concerned to stay to the end of the season, then hes got on his cv that he helped put ICT in the top six for the first time and possibly a European place,(5 places on offer next season) that will count for a lot more than leaving when we are third from the bottom,he will have a far bigger bargaining chip in a few months if he stays, he may be getting games but is it enough?

I think we needed more sand

Has the picture been issued yet with Tommy forking the pitch whilst standing in a rowing boat
-
Those days are past now and in the past they must remain but we can still rise now and head up the table again.
-
Just looks like a typical high level road in the top half of Scotland in the winter, wont be long before some news reporters will want to drive up to film some snow but the A9 was far worse for the Celtic v ICT match a year ago.
-
Was thinking the same, Foran will be available again and we are more likely to get a pie at half time when its back on. The club has still lost a fair bit of cash though maybe we can get the re match on tv.
