Flag
Its a pity they weren't better at designing flags in those days as we could have pinched the idea and used it. Do we have to get drawn into the Jacobite thing, which had a lot more to do with religion than Scotland v England in fact it was the Scots who created the union (awaits red dots from thick people) How about designing a CTO flag.

Just a wee reminder Rangers are on ITV 4 tonight 10 mins in 0-0 if you wanted to watch ?- Flag
I would have liked the Inness bar to buy a flag to advertise itself and support the club but thats for the Inness bar to organize. The biggest one on that site would cost ?300 + for 25' x 12.5' with Inverness caley thistle 1994 and something like 'the highlanders' + more for the crest on a red and blue back ground, or whatever is most popular. That would cost 30 people ?10 each, I for one wouldnt mind paying that if the support was there, perhaps the supporters trust would make a contribution too. In principle I would be happy to give ?10 towards a large flag for the fans.- Team for united dilemma
What a tough choice picking the team for united, I was happy with the Celtic line up, its just that when Hayes/Doran were brought on we were 1 goal down and Celtics tactics had changed leaving less space for our wingers to run into.Minimizing the effectiveness of our subs. (but United aren't Celtic) So do we keep the same team and shore up midfield yet still have the same attacking options or introduce the 2 wingers from the start and put Foran up front with Rooney as the game will be more open from the off. Hayes will tire first replace with Sutherland, then bring on Ross (to play behind Rooney)for Doran and move Foran out wide and replace Rooney with Macdonald. Must be hard picking the right team with so many good players to choose from.- Tactics for Cellic
Not Lennon. He'll think he's looking in a mirror. Is that because hes an erse hole- Tactics for Cellic

Thats good news, are they played better as super subs to tie in with a fresh counter attacking striker? For many games I had wished we had Hayes back in the team but what a team performance against Motherwell, Solid proven defenders, solid performances by Cox and Duncan with Sutherland and Foran on the wing, made life pretty easy for Rooney and Ross, with good service coming from all directions and solid defending from the 8 team mates behind intercepting every threatening ball on route to our goal. I just hope we have a good quality ref, it would be a pity if he gets sucked into having to assess amateur dramatics on the pitch, I enjoyed the ICT v Motherwell match and I think the ref enjoyed it too, having so many honest players on the pitch made his life easy, no simulation, no play acting, just an Honorable game of football to officiate.- Tactics for Cellic
What going on? its a big game tomorrow night and a dougal thread is creating more interest regarding something that even Dr Who cant be bothered to go back in time to find out who the disgruntled 8 were. Since that date we Have beaten Celtic twice and were 4 minutes away from making it a hat trick of wins over Celtic in the cup, which orchestrated the departure of Barnes and what a result beating Celtic with the well respected manager Martin O Neil in charge. Its not going well for Celtic, a wasted journey up north, whilst Rangers narrow the gap in the league with a game in hand, they now have to come up here with the fear of losing to a Highland team again with the pressure of expectation weighted on their shoulders and have to face up to a solid Inverness side who will play with no fear, only days prior to an Old Firm cup clash. Never mind what the teams plans are, Terry and Mo have got that well sorted. What are the warm up plans for the Highland savages that ICT fc can proudly call fans. Stand up for the Caley Jags Bring on the Celtic and make it a night to remember.- Celtic cup tie now WED 7:45

Whats the cut off point for getting the supporters bus? theres only this game and Killy before the spilt.- Celtic cup tie now WED 7:45
I believe Sky's deal was to show three of the four QF's. Having now decided to screen the Brechin v St J replay of tuesday 22nd I think they will fulfil that agreement. Up till last season the fourth QF match went to terrestrial tv. None of them have produced the cash this season. Makes me wonder why I pay a licence. Espn have a few games on wednesday Sky have none, itv are showing Chelsea and incase your interested Rangers will be on ITV4 on thursday- Celtic cup tie now WED 7:45
Much more than that! The Sky money is over ?80,000 on it's own. Then add in smaller attendance, hospitality etc Is that ?80k each or shared between the clubs ? I would assume the 80k is shared, the gate money will be shared, but we keep money on food, drinks, hopsitality, 50/50 draw, progs etc- Celtic cup tie now WED 7:45
I would imagine the takings will be more than if it was another SPL club. Weather wise I have just heard that the A9 is very bad (snow)and traffic is stationary on the dual carriageway heading north about 20 miles from Inverness- ***GAME OFF***
I dont think they have any other options, no flights up from the central belt and cant see them using public transport so its their bus again and for our supporters traveling up the bus and trains dont tie in so its an overnighter or drive up and back down.- ***GAME OFF***
I may have the same problem but will see what I can reschedule. If you have no takers from the regular posters on this site you should be able to get a refund.- ***GAME OFF***
No flights from the central belt, so its the team coach again.- Covers
I would prefer a fully enclosed stadium with a roof to keep the rain out.- Refuseniks
At one end of the scale- I call myself a fan but dont go to any games/I go to one or two games a year because my neighbor invites me. to I'm a season ticket holder, I go to all the cup games and wear Caledonian or Thistle pants to work. How can you differentiate between a die hard fan and a pretend fan. If 1000 fans say they will never be back then how do you know they were fans in the first place? If you look at current division 3 attendance stats 200-800 just guessing haven't checked. When we won the div 3 cup we had an attendance of around 3000 at home games, Scottish football was a new thing in Inverness and the team found it hard not to win games, I think we won the cup as early as March that year. So if that many stayed away, then why did the amalgamated fan base increase instead of decrease. Why is this still being mentioned? We have great investment in our fans of the future, we have football training for the youngsters, cheap seats in the family section, Ict junior strips selling well, the players go out and promote ICT, free seats for schools etc The sweetest thing of all is parents who have been Rangers and Celtic fans all their life and their kids are growing up as ICT supporters. Give me, talking about how well ICT are doing, the fans, the bar, the noise the primary school pupils against Dundee, the players, this site, just anything positive. Instead of a topic with dwindling interest that applies to less people every time its mentioned. ICT is the future.- ***GAME OFF***
Its not snowing just now, If it was colder I would say we would have had a good covering of snow this morning but most of it has just turned to slush and melted.- ***GAME OFF***
Seeing as Alex Salmond has had a greater than normal interest in Scottish football of late. I hope he can make it up for the match not only to see what should be a great game but to get first hand experience of how much funding is required to vastly improve the A9. Never mind dangerous overtaking lanes. If the A9 was dueled between Perth and Inverness at a speed of 1 mile a year. The project would not be completed until approximately year 2100. If funding is available to widen roads to accommodate an overtaking lane but the funding isn't there to dual it then change the rules please first minister.- Celtic Cup Preview & Report
I thought Hooper had a knee injury I take it hes on the mend now- Game canceled poll
The Celtic team arrive on Saturday, the weather is fine around Inverness the pitch is good, the local roads are good but the A9 closes Sunday morning and the Cellic team is in Inverness but their fans cant make it up the A9.(well the ones actually coming up from the central belt) Should the game go ahead without their fans?- Will the snow strike again?
On radio Scotland this morning they chatted that the A9 down to a single lane, I had a wee chuckle to myself, seeing as the majority of the A9 is single carriageway. - Football on tv
