  1. I'm looking forward to seeing the new improved singing section after merging the best of section E and G.
  2. Can anyone tell me if BBC ALBA do highlights of all the games at 5.30 (now that its on Freeview ch8) or does it just cover the selected match.
  3. Lift me up, lift me up, Piermayr.
  4. Regarding speaking to fans, Ive seen people with mikes at TCS speaking to fans at a million miles an hour then shoving a mike in a supporters face and hoping for the best.
  5. Computer says no. Must be looking for a higher calibre of player
  6. Fortunately we dont get sucked into the Catholic Protestant hatred thing and if it was to happen at our ground it would more than likely be individuals who are actually Old Firm fans first and foremost anyway and would soon get told to shut up by those around them. But how loosely can the label sectarianism be used. A player could get stick from the fans for whatever reason and it could be quite ignorant of the police/stewards to assume that because the fans are winding up the likes of Lafferty or Hooper etc it is due to racial hated. Craig Brown used the word regarding the abuse Richard Foster received due to playing for Rangers.I dont know if he was booed for playing for a team that the Aberdeen fans have a long term dislike for or if it was more linked to religion.I would assume it was the former, still pretty immature to be booing your own players anyway. Will the banter between ourselves at the dump and the caravan dwellers have to end So how will it affect us.
  7. I must get my eyes checked I thought you had typed "Dirtier than a Gypsy".
  8. If I could put Sutherland,Ross and Barrowman in the same sentence it would be to say that two of those mentioned have the belief in their ability to curve a ball round the keeper and into the far corner of the net and one believes that hes so good that punting a ball in the direction of goal will win the game. I think the Pars may struggle.
  9. He certainly deserves a testimonial but I think I would prefer if he played in a legends team, as we are still to play the caravan dwellers in a charity match for Raigmore hospitals childrens ward appeal, It would be a shame if fans chose one game over the other against the Countay. So I would assume if Grant played in a legends team then both games would be well supported.
  10. After releasing so many players and stalling on getting replacements I was getting hesitant But my confidence is growing reminding myself that we still have a lot of quality players that didnt leave the club, with a few of them still to reach their peak,of what I have seen of our youth they play to a very good standard for their age and our new signings arent just names picked from a hat in desperation, they are players who have been watched and wanted by the gaffer. So I would say that Im confident that we can do well, as long as the players believe in their ability then they deserve to do well.
  11. But Nacho can play with two balls.
  12. Its a tough one, does either bank offer free travel insurance?
  13. They were going to try and charge me that as well until they realised I had been a customer for over 3 years so I got it for ?40, I couldn't be bothered arguing with them I just wanted it fixed. Has the engineer not phoned you yet, usually they do. If not I'd be on the phone I am getting it fixed for free as I told them to stick their dish somewhere. Put through to cancellation dept and they said no charge They won't talk to me as the account is in wife's name. Tried calling but they will only talk to me if she calls them first :annoyed: Why dont you put on a girly voice and phone again. Im having the same problems getting a sat dish installed at Cambuslang premier inn, apparently.
  14. Not so sure about being exceptionally high, 2/4/11 4.3m. I would say the high tide was high but not exceptionally high. But in fairness to the average Joe Blogs looking at the sea they may think that it was very high and unless they go out and measure it every 12 hours or look at admiralty tide tables how would they know any better. 20/3/11 5.3m, now I would call that exceptionally high. Not that I want to start splitting hairs was just surprised it was mentioned at the time, the torrential rain through the night was a good enough reason on its own. It was just bad luck that the heavy downpour postponed the game, just the same as it mucked up the Scottish Open.
  15. Shh dont mention the tides was a bit of a red herring or it would have been an ongoing problem for years. High tide was not exceptionally high when our last game was postponed and didnt coincide with the pitch inspection either. Good to hear from you again Dougal after your absence, keep taking the tablets or we may lose you again for a while. Fancy sponsoring our players for £10, or are you keeping the cash to spend on dog grooming products.
  16. Wise words, I like many others on here dont have any idea whatsoever what the story was about. I feel like being sucked in to giving an opinion but think I'll sit on the fence. Any other potentials coming in soon.
  17. With the recent downpour, I was just wondering how the improved drainage system was coping.
  18. Undefeated in the league since 4/5/11 and supported by the greatest fans. (Who would want to play for Aberdeen http://www.pressandjournal.co.uk/Article.aspx/2344751 )
  19. Dont take it to heart Mahonio, was looking at an IHE anagram on another post which got me thinking and by the way, Mahonio = Oh I moan.
  20. A lot of people go on about that game but people seem to forget that Rangers and Celtic only beat us twice in the league in six attempts last season. Only 2 weeks away now.
  21. Phone the citizens advice, they will give you up to the minute info. The same situation happened to me once but every case is different, so I cant really guide you on what to do but if you arrange to see an adviser they may lead you in the right direction. Good luck.
  22. I have the same conversations with the staff at a premier inn at the end of London road (Glasgow Cambuslang) They all seem to be of a Celtic persuasion down there.
  23. And Erics off to turkey http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,12875_7024910,00.html
