  1. You also seemed to have missed out on another aspect of his job and that is developing and having belief in local young tallent, our only home grown tallent has been Murno since the merger and already we have Shinnie, Ross and Sutherland I cant fault the youth set up as they have done a tremdous job bringing on the youngsters but its still the manager who picks the team.
  2. Is this going to run in tandem with the supporters club or is that being phased out? any prices available yet for travel with/without supporters trust membership ?
  3. This is on Patrick's main page. Do you think we should be doing something along the same lines?
  4. Don't get me wrong Munro and Duncan are great signings for us but it's players in which we are already very strong. We had the 3rd best defence last year despite finishing 8th and our CB pairing of Scott Boyd and Johnny Flynn picked up the player of the year awards as well as our DCM Stuart Kettlewell. It's obviously nice to have competition for places though... Ive just checked the SFL website to look at the table and Ive got some bad news for you, its listed in alphabetical order and your in the relegation zone. You actually had the 2nd best defence in the league but also came last if it was down to goals scored
  5. I'm thinking back to our first game of the 1st division against the Pars, as as long as the team are as vocally supported as they were on that day I dont mind who it is or where.
  6. http://www.pressandjournal.co.uk/Article.aspx/2310534?UserKey= Rooney and Duff are told by the club that they cant wait forever as training resumes on Tuesday. Rooney could probably delay slightly longer not just because of his reputation up front but we are down to the bare bones for strikers so could be given a couple of days grace. If I was Duff I would be a bit worried that the contract offer may be withdrawn unless its for a predominantly right back position, we already have a lot of good quality proven players for midfield, + 1 extra almost signed and 2 midfield youngsters knocking on the door of the first team and if they make as much progress as Ross and Sutherland then things are looking good.
  7. Thats good news, we now have 2 quality left backs. reason for edit Having Gillet and Sutherland isnt good news- its great news.
  8. If players are a bit indecisive about which SPL clubs to play for perhaps this should make things a little clearer. http://www.scotprem.com/content/default.asp?page=home_Statistics Didnt quite come through as I hoped but select form for last season.

  10. I just knew what the reply would be before looking, when I saw that IHE had posted.
  11. If he was from Fiji it might sway some posters for him to play for ICT I was going to suggest Michael Phelps but I believe the drainage problem has been sorted now.
  12. Just read that Tokely was leaving, glad to hear theres been a change of heart. Certainly would have been an end of an era otherwise,we have lost too many members of the family this season already. Best wishes Mr and Mrs Tokes on their great day.
  13. I have not read Leveins comments but would assume that he wants his current Scotland players playing against the toughest most skillful opponents week in week out which kind of makes sense but a man of Leviens caliber will want whats best for Scotland long term too as I dont think hes a short term glory hunter and must have one eye on building for the future. Were the Dons and Hibs poor this season because of a 12 team league I dont think so. As for quality why did a club the size of ICT take so may points from the Old Firm. Scottish football is getting better below the old firm not worse. More teams = more Scottish players playing in the SPL Less SPL teams = less SPL players Less SPL teams + more SPL cash = more Scottish 1st div players, more money to buy in players from England for SPL clubs, which means even less Scottish players in an already decreased SPL.
  14. Well if hes valued at ?3M and its cost him ?1M to leave it may have saved his new club ?2M in a transfer fee,as I'm sure he would get his ?1M back on top of wages.
  15. How often could you call paying in installments a good deal, I had to check it twice but if you cant afford to buy a season ticket before the end of June full price £350, a season ticket for the main stand would cost £370. The finance option at the bottom of the page quotes £38 x 10 months which is only £10 more than the price without early bird discount. Which also works out far cheaper than paying at the gate This example is for a Main Stand adult so - Concession, North Stand would work out even cheaper. http://www.ictfc.co.uk/articles/20110508/season-ticket-prices_2208825_2056355 Student in the North Stand £18.46 x 10 months = £184.60
  16. Not so sure about that kit Alex something is not quite right, I think 80s style extra tight shorts in pink would be a better combo.
  17. Barrowman wasnt paid to leave. His contract was cancelled. No cash exchange was made. Im sure we wouldve had to pay off Brewster when he got sacked, thats the main one i can think off. You mean to say that a manager can just tear up a contract and a player stops getting paid, is that legal? why bother to have a contract.
  18. Seeing as the Pars have unveiled their star signing, he got me thinking. How many people linked to our club have we actually paid to leave?
  19. As its a bit quiet on here with people keeping mum over signings and quite rightly so. What one word sums up players, management past or present. Ie Rosco-superman, Tel-bandage, Golden-balls? (I know I cheated a bit,two words)
  20. Seeing as a 10 team league seems to be focused on tv, it doesnt offer much variety and subscriptions would soon be canceled. watching 10 teams play each other will become a bit tedious. If you made an English premiership super league consisting of the top 10 teams, on paper it sounds like a must see but in reality it would become mundane.
  21. The Sutherlands give the appeal a big boost. http://www.inverness-courier.co.uk/News/Childrens-Ward-Appeal/Massive-100000-donation-to-our-appeal-03062011.htm
  22. Bad things about Barrowman- cost our manager his job and inability to score cost us a place in the SPL for a season. Good things ? His goal scoring ability nearly got his 1st division club to within a whisker of promotion to the SPL
  23. According to Maurice in the Courier, at this moment in time there is no Plymouth game and the trip depends on finding a 3rd opponent. If Plymouth can't be sorted, who else is down there? Exeter? Bournemouth? How about the seacat from Plymouth to France- Nantes ?
  24. Am not a Highland Marcher but would be more than willing to take part in any walk for it I'll lend you my sat nav, Plymouth Argyle 3 days earlier ( no, highland marchers, stop thinking is that possible ) I hope this match is well supported by both sides as its for a good cause. its kind of both clubs to donate all the proceeds too. Think I'll try and get through for this one if not I'll make a donation.
  25. The 10 team league is dead. was it ever alive?
