  1. When TBs tie starts to lift, keep the ball down on the ground, with the lighter ball shoot low when the wind picks up as the wind will try and lift the ball as the faster wind passes over the top of the stadium, the wind will more or less be travelling from goal to goal with a few eddies around the stands.
  2. http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/uk/ta/...st_weather.html Met office weather report for Sunday - Sunny, 7 deg, a steady south south westerly ie no veering or backing winds. 16 mph gusting to 37 mph
  3. Dropping out the SPL was a sore point with some.... but apparently it's just one of these things that happens now and again. No one is to blame for it. Hopefully you will see your friend in action on Sunday in the final of the Alba Cup - a very prestigious competition in Scotland. It will be live on Sky channel 168 - in some kind of foreign language, unfortunately. I think it might be Swahili, but I'm not sure. QuickAsOdhiambo if you have any problems understanding the language on Sunday we have a translator on this site who would be happy to be of assistance his name is IHE. I'll give you an example of an earlier translation. Would ya feckin adam and eve it ? An invite to get your bacon and eggs down to the battle cruiser fer some Tommy Tupcker, have a bubble bath and get Brahms and Liszt of yer boat race.
  4. Don't think there are any highlights anywhere, Eric.... It was a fantastic strike - best goal I've seen at TCS for quite some time. What are you doing in England? I'm English. Eric is a great friend so I've been supporting ICT since he joined. I've searched all over the net but haven't been able to find highlights of your games since you dropped out of the SPL. It was a cracking goal, the only way you can see the goals for the time being is to go to the games, although I am led to believe that highlights of the home matches is being looked into, though I'm not sure at what stage this is at, if you want to see ICT in action just look on the website of the away teams, no matter how small the club, as they more than likely have this facility.
  5. There seem to be a lot of talk of censorship and bans. I would say that there is a huge range of posters on this site from intellects, young to old, to dafties of the same age range too, so it must be tiresome for intelligent people to have to filter through a lot of drivel to read what interests them but does that give them the right to look down on someones opinion with a lower IQ, just because they have a plethora of knowledge. This is a hub for ICT fans and if I was to vote to limit/censor the young or dafties then I would be censoring myself on the latter. I would like to chuck a few negative minded critical loud mouth individuals out of the home stand but unfortunately I dont have any greater right to be there than them. So is it a case of emphasising 'Not to cause offence to fellow users of this site and to be more aware of the forum rules'. I would like to see this site closed. Now before you start rolling up the sleeves, how about closing this site a week after the end of the season for a few weeks, It would give the people who run this site a timely break, not much will happen over this period anyway and it will remind people not to take this site for granted and to appreciate it a little more.
  6. Hope you change your mind and make the effort to travel down on Sunday. Ive had to wait years for ICT to play in this cup again,(not like County I must hasten to add).We may never be allowed to play in it again from next season onwards. Go on make it 2001 fans. Edited topic description as cunning plan failed, Any tips for winning over abstainers ?
  7. Have you been watching Cliff Richard films again !
  8. Its still going to be a good day out prior to the big league games coming up,our journey to hamden and hopefully a good travelling support for the away games for the final push, near the end of the season. I'm looking forward to the noise, dont quite know how or when it came about but for a young club we have a hell of a lot of good chants.
  9. Few valid points mentioned so far but I can see this running in to high numbers with people disagreeing about other people giving their honest opinion and getting nowhere, which seems to be missing the point. Why not email the forum rules to all members highlighting the most valid ones, hopefully the ones that cant be bothered reading too much will pick up on the highlighted bits. Its a start.
  10. If you stand at the entrance to McDairmid, on Crieff Road, with your back to Tesco's walk about 500 yards, passing the 208 on your right and the entrance to the crematorium on your left, to the traffic lights. Look left and you'll see it. Its a sports and social club for the residents of the Tulloch area of Perth and has no affiliation with those in the building and stonework trades. clicky http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?ie=UTF8&...fOeSQjAfY2qzvCw The place is the white building with the car park on the opposite site of the road as marked. google maps have listed the tulloch institute as being in a house. Might be worth a knock on the door though they might have some beer in the fridge and heat a Tesco pie for you.
  11. Can anyone tell me how many Supporters club buses are heading down.
  12. Who do you think could cut the cloth as manager. 1, Who could control the dressing room, 2, be a good tactician, 3, quick minded, 4, read the game well, 5, have lots of contacts and 6,make some canny signings. How many years away are they from managing ICT.

No point in slagging off Butcher, Spare some time to think of John Hughes, past and present season he was I game from being sacked at Falkirk and is now a Hi bee hero. Who would you suggest ? How about the assistant manager at County they seem to be doing OK? Whats that, you would rather have Butcher.
  14. The referee had better watch out, as there is dastardly plot behind the kindness shown from Ross County, his humble abode. As he may be drugged in the middle of the night, have his eyes burned and have to play tunes on the slumdog high street with his whistle to beg for cash, to help pay for their 50/50 draw.
  15. You'd be surprised. How would you feel if you went to renew your season ticket and the club told you that you cant have it as someone else wants to sit there because they think that they can generate more noise than you.Be it true or not. Going back to school days, people wanted to sit at the back of the bus not because they were tough but because they wanted to associated with being tough. Back to section G, I think that there are too many people there that want to be associated with that section and add to the surrounding noise if and when they feel like it, as opposed to starting the noise. Ideally I would like all noisy non season ticket holders from section G to pick a central spot in the main stand at the Airdrie game and make loads of noise,a change of scenery and its only for 1 game, just to encourage the silent 2000 to make some noise. The above is veering away from the county match, County did have their backs to the sun for both goals is that a feeble excuse, we lost, now its time to prepare for Airdrie.

They cant cost much to produce, glossy business stickers aren't that dear, I would imagine its a case of taking some pictures and emailing them to a company to print off. Plan B, give the Courier permission to take some pictures and send out the stickers free in the courier. I would opt for plan B for the greater good of the club and it sells papers too, especially if they drip feed stickers to the public over a few weeks.
  17. If its the 'whats my name song' then it reminds me of Word Up? the start of the song anyway, the chorus is pretty unique though. If its the Ting tings in general then ????
  18. Go as sheep. That'll distract the players aswell! :boldblue: Dont travel by train then, you may gat set on fire.
  19. Replace the lot, 5-1 and 4-1,wins, just arent good enough, glad this issue was raised at such a crutial time before we start winning by just 1 goal again.
  20. How many buses are there gonna be going from Greig Street? Do you have to book a place on it or just pay there? You must phone the Social Club on 01463 238568 to book a seat. I would imagine the number of buses will depend on the demand. So fans cant show up and get on the bus? Do you have a telephone phobia A quick quiz, should the social club. A. hire 1 bus, a driver and let on the first people who arrive and turn away anyone elso who turns up. B. pay for the hire of 10 buses and drivers and pray that enough people turn to cover the cost of so many buses and drivers otherwise it will cost them a fortune. C. ask people who want to travel on a bus to phone the above number and tell them your name and the names of others traveling with you on the bus, so that they can request enough buses from a bus company and find enough drivers to work aswell. So let them know asap if this is your mode of transport. D. as below
  21. Under a clubs right to put highlights online (without paying a fee), they are only allowed to do so on their own official website. If anyone else wishes to do it then they have to become a "media partner" and pay a license fee. I don't know what that fee is, but knowing what they (the SFA) charge for the rights to a single game, I can't imagine it being financially viable for a small outfit. I've been working most of the day so not had a chance to see what Jim is saying in the paper, but I would hope/expect that we'll see some kind of programming involving ICT.....maybe we could do what I've seen done for the NFL where a channel doesn't have the rights to show live footage of a game.....they set up a camera on the commentators who are watching and reporting on the game. It can be quite entertaining if you can get commentators who lean towards opposing teams, especially if they are animated people. Did Scotty mention in the past that he was in touch with other Web masters if that is the correct terminology? at different clubs. If so were any figures actually mentioned regarding costs. If clubs can provide some form of media coverage from division 1,2 and even 3 then surely it must be viable.
  22. Well its good to know that the supporters club and trust are prepared to reinvest in the fans. And here was me thinking that the money raised was fed directly into the club. Its heartening to know that the right people are involved to make things happen.
  23. It reminds me of a few years ago sitting in a bus leaving Broadwood stadium, we had just beaten Clyde in the penultimate game of the season the ICT fans had matched the home fans in number, a great turnout and the opportunity to win the 1st division cup was back in our hands the whole bus was buzzing with excitement, with thoughts of making it to the SPL if they beat St Johnstone the following week. Listening to every word on the radio with baited breath for mention of our club, the radio presenter managed to speak to Mr Bennett and my heart immediately began to sink when he more or less said there and then that he wasn't sure if ICT would be going in to the SPL and would have to look in to it, instead of being ecstatic about the thought of promotion. Thankfully the board took the bull by the horns and steamrolled on in to the SPL where we have enjoyed 5 happy years, who knows what predicament the club would in if it didn't. Its time for the board to take the bull by the horns again and put this TV plan in to fruition, the SPL was an unknown entity and you rose to the challenge its now time to step in to the unknown again and be the creators of Ict TV. Only positive things can come from this.
  24. People on this site have kindly forked out cash to sponsor a player What would be the views for a cheap annual subscription to use this site which could be voluntary but should be expected from regular users, with a logo by your avatar indicating that you are a fan sponsor. ?4 pa, ?1 under 16 and oaps ? The cash could be used solely for the benefit of the fans,so its a good cause, IE, it could be used to buy new skins for broken drums at TCS or make a parachute style ICT fc flag, I have mentioned the Inness bar in the past or any other business who would want to sponsor one and put their name on it too and in the long term set up funds to establish- Inverness Caledonian Thistle Vision. As long as the money is used wisely, for the benefit of the fans and not paying for p1ss ups then I would happily donate. If anything positive came from this, it would gladden my heart to know that I helped make that happen with just a small annual contribution. Thoughts.

You should maybe get that anora?k off the peg again since what I was working out were the odds against what actually happened, using the teams actually present at each stage so your suggestion doesn't in practice arise. I stand corrected. I made it 456,876,456,000,001 and a third. Its purely amazing that having a 1in 3 chance of picking a team from division 3 in each competition in round 1, then the home or away option doubles the odds per game and jumps to 1 in 4000 by round 2 When I say 1 in 3, I actually mean a 1 in 2.9 chance of picking a 3rd division team as we all know that you cant pick yourself from the first division. Anyway I did enjoy your tv show. when you crashed the bike was it from doing too many wheelies ?
