Adam Rooney
penalties to decide a cup game wouldn't be included, he has scored 2 in the league and 2 in cups, for the truest goal scoring figures you would have to find out how many minutes has been played divided by goals as a %, as you could be a sub and come on for 2 mins or most of the game.Or start and then be subbed. If he could put the ball in the back of the net for every chance that he gets, he would be worth more than Wayne Rooney. I have got a feeling that his chance v scoring ratio is about to steadily climb. I must speed up my typing !

Obdhiambo
Who knows, he scored against the Dons last week but all of our strikers scored last week bar Sanchez, he just had to make do with only setting up 3 of them !! might be a 4-1-5 formation this week.

Scottish cup
As far as I can see in the CIS and Challenge Cups to date (ICT are not yet in the Scottish Cup), both Ross County AND Caley Thistle have had five home draws and one away. (ICT to Partick Thistle and Ross County to ICT). The odds against that are around 10.7 to 1. Then there's the additional matter that between the first and second rounds of the CIS and Challenge Cup, ICT were drawn at home to Third Division opponents on all four occasions. I once calculated the odds against that as around 4000 to 1 but it's so long ago that I've forgotten how I did it. :) Before I hang my anorack up, the odds would be variable for the second round, depending on how many 3rd division teams are still in the competition. Great for you to take some time out and come on to this web site Mr Charles Bannerman. Saw you on tv the other week, on the motorbike, travelling from Australia to Japan, awesome.

Niculae Court Case
I would have thought the intention was always to sell him before the contract expired,or was Alan Savage supposed to buy more shares. I'm sure I read somewhere that he was due another payment from us as a bonus or something at the end of the season, another reason to sell. Looks like the the SPL parachute payment will be going directly to Marius and the lawyers. At the time if his contract stipulated that he was to get 30% of the fee so be it. If he didn't want to go to Kaiserslautern but would rather go to Dinamo Bucharest is that ok, could he have taken a reduction in his cut as the former club offered more cash than Dinamo ? I don't know about employment law for football players, Rangers wanted to get rid of Boyd and Ferguson and they didn't want to go.So can they say I would rather go to club X, or can they continually say no until there preferred club is mentioned as opposed to suggesting the club they prefer, can you refuse all t&cs to move anywhere and let your contract run out? Fair play to the board for trying to protect the interests of ICT but if he was due 30% then that what he is due. His wage was being covered by Alan Savage/Orion, supposedly. ICT would have received cash for Romania reaching the latter stages of euro 2008 and that still leaves the remaining 70% (?210,000? ) ICT got for his sale. My calculator must be faulty because when I add all this up even giving the man ?90,000 he must probably be the cheapest most famous player that ICT will ever have. So instead, the ?90,000 could become ?230,000, not to mention the bad publicity that ICT have given themselves with regards to getting a big foreign signing in the future. Being an ICT fan I hope the ruling goes our way but if so lessons have to be learned.

Home and Away
My solution is to cover up the home dressing room door sign with 'away' thus fooling all the players that they are away from home and win more games. the memory is removed from my brain that we haven't had many wins at home in the league for a good while and I will be just as hopeful for a win at the next home game.

Rooney
Lets hope Flash Eric is a goal scorer. As for Rooney if he has too much time to score he wont. He really needs to practise running against the goalie and scoring and in front of the more people the better, other teams in the league are at the top because they can score given the same chance. Is frequently getting the opportunity and not scoring, better than not getting the opportunity and still not scoring, both get you at best 1 point. I think it was Stranraer he had unteen chances, we won 3-0, but it should have been by a far greater margin, Go and see a hypnotherapist or a psychologist,if you think it can improve your career.

How about squeezing in the no 1 from exactly 6 years ago today at half time. For pre match, play what the players like, or the man of the match picks the next home match songs.

Who is to blame?
Expectations are definitely too high compared to the players output. A reality check is in order, the team need to respect the opposition, each other, improve within themselves and as a team, I don't know if getting drunk is still high on some players agenda, a choice has to be made between where you want your career to go. It took Bary Robsons loan to Forfar to work that one out, although Barry was quite funny with the shot in back in those days it didn't help his career. Once the new team gels together, a change in attitude and with Dougie and Flash Eric back in the line up, all going well we may still win the league. False confidence wont win the league, self respect and respect for each other can only strengthen the team.(Fabio Capello would be taking the players out for a meal) I still have an open mind as to if we can still win the league but if the current form continues into mid November then I would have to say no. The drinking ban also applies to TB, its up to the manager to teach the players how to outwit the opposition and you cant do that with a fuzzy brain.

Is the G-word racist?
Must be more to do with our location, what I mean by that is lack of serious crime in the area, not that this is a bad thing but I would imagine an overstretched police force in the central belt has to prioritise and this would come way down the list of things to do in a day. Do you think the police would ever allow kids to come out with this phrase down the Longman ' ge us a quid an I'll watch ye car fae ye mr' (or else your windows getting smashed) I don't think so. Sorry if I have caused offence to gypsies by likening county fans with them, as associating words like dirty and bar stewards seems to be acceptable. I did hear a couple of chants near the end of the match which was instigated by the county players and referee but at least they used the word 'gopsy' instead,as advised on an earlier thread, which sounds like gypsy and has the lip movements too, so it it must be really difficult to prove otherwise. So to ban young easily led fans would be unfair. Also for fans who do not use this website, was there any public announcement that gypsies are being offended by these chants or a couple of ICT fans, if there was, were they talking over it and didnt hear, maybe some fans are unaware of the situation.

Boycott the Gypo Game
I'm going, as I want to see the players try their best against the caravan club we still have a lot of players that are proud to wear an ICT shirt and have no fear to take on any team anywhere, I'll be going to support those players.

ICT -V- Partick Th :Matchday Thread
Brewster kept playing Barrowman and Rooney up front and stuck with it week in week out because he signed them, Butcher replaced all the midfield and instead of sticking with all of his new signings, he changed things and bar Duncans error which led to one of the goals and Coxs stray shots at goal, the midfield were very good, I would say that its now goalie, defence and midfield almost sorted,we just need to tune the forwards and were off. Go and have another pint at the guinness factory,or go and look at the tart in the cart and the flousie in the jacuzzi.

Is the G-word racist?
I think too much emphasis has been put on the word Gypsy. Going back to the first game against Dunfermiline the fans were great,(bar the slagging for our backup goalie) a good turnout and lots of songs. The County game ? Of all the songs that could have been sung about our team, our club, Inverness, or the players to egg them on, what was chanted over and over again?? dirty Gypsy bar stewards, dirty Gypsy bar stewards.
