  1. Going by his post match interview, he knew he was out the door if they lost. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/scotland/8431238.stm In the meantime no point speculating about losing our management/players.
  2. The harsh reality is they now have a 5 and a half 1/2 year contract, So anything done now will be down to profitability for the catering company, so it depends on how commercially driven they are to increase profits even further by having a far quicker turn around time or if they are happy enough just to make some money. Of my three earlier suggestions, If I was the catering company I would implement suggestion 1, immediately. 2 utilise extra staff for half time as a trial, and check the till rolls compared with the same till operator from the previous week to see how they compare and would look in to employing some fans for peak times as its difficult to get someone to work for you part time with no routine. As for the third option, not interested, not my problem I would still bring in the same revenue weather it is gridlocked in front of the shop or not so would pass this back to the club and say it is for them to improve the crowd congestion, I would then donate some money to assist with the crowd improvements as an offer of goodwill for good relations.
  3. Looking at it again I still would have used the brakes but not as hard as the car driver, the car was near stationary with all wheels locked up so there was some grip, the driver tried to correct the the turn going by the position of the wheels, which would have been a complete waste of time if the wheels aren't turning, it looks like they stuck the hand brake on,locked up the rear wheels and decided to jump very early going by how early the doors opened and going by where the car stopped it flattened off after the bend. The driver had a lucky escape how would you explain running yourself over. http://img705.imageshack.us/img705/4112/damage2.jpg
  4. My thoughts too more or less, should have lightly touched the brakes and kept control instead of locking up all the wheels and abandoning ship. if in doubt jump out the car you are driving??? The person filming must have thought the road outside is really treacherous, so shall I go and put some salt or grit on the road or should I go upstairs with camera in hand hoping that someone crashes, so that I can film it.
  5. I certainly don't think that Dundee are a team worthy of running away with the league, and if they do win I can see a lot of their players getting pumped as the cheque book is reopened to buy players of a higher calibre for the SPL.
  6. I think I'll give the pie shop a miss till the spring just to see if things have improved by then, the turn around time is far too slow. To Que from the half time whistle and miss the first 15 minutes of the second half isn't really worth it, after all I went there with the main intention of watching the football not dining out. If would prefer to make a few suggestions instead of just moaning. 1,Put a big writing board on the back wall in the shop, with the heading 'ITEMS CURRENTLY OUT OF STOCK' and write with a temporary marker the unavailable items below, this will save time conversing with staff as to whats available, then there is the thinking time as to what else to get, plus the possibility of that being out of stock too. Customers can then buy whats available instead of talking about what isn't. 2,The till operator/pie getter/drinks pourer/sweetie/crisps collector person takes too long to get rid of customers and the clue is in the operators title, Get a routine established the person at the tills takes the money, gives the change and pours the drinks, each pair of till operators has a gopher or each operator has their own one if warranted, who collects anything else. the till operators were quite happy to do everything themselves today which didn't really help get rid of the ques and left an eager looking helper standing like a spare part by the pies. Give some youngsters the opportunity to earn say ?5 and a free pie and drink who are currently at the game for working from 3.40 to 4.05 as gophers only 25 minutes work and you go home a fiver up and if you get rid of the ques you go back to the stand early. 3,Buy a tin of yellow paint and paint queueing lines on the floor, put box junction markings in the Que at certain points to allow people a fast and safe access back to the seating area whilst carrying hot food and drinks and clearly mark exit routes from the till areas which should be kept clear, also queueing posts could be used, the type that have the ribbon to section off the ques this would prevent Que jumping. This makes exit from/to the shop quicker, fairer and safer.
  7. Was told at the stadium that its going ahead, its between -2 to -3 C there so wrap up well.
  8. Looks like I'll be going down very shortly to do my bit then for a couple of hours. What is required, manpower, snow shovels ? If you ignore this plea and could of helped then shame on you. And please dont add to this if you Cant help, not everyone can.
  9. Just to clarify things, will the people involved have free entry to the ground for the match? I can see this as a career stepping stone for someone interested in this line of work. If this isn't your career path then it also adds character to your CV too. Not to mention self belief and confidence or perhaps a new hobby to take pride in. Would you enjoy showing off your special camera crew ID badge?
  10. Its good to withstand what Inverness has been hit with I was just about to delete this thread, see Caley rules post he was a few minutes ahead of me on this one.
  11. Ive moved this as Caley rule has just beaten me with regards to 'Game in doubt ?'
  12. I see that the BBC have only listed ICT v Dundee and Partick v Queens as the only 1st division games. How good is the under soil heating and what temperatures can it cope with?
  13. Looks like hes on the verge of signing for Peterhead. I would have liked to have seen him back here but I cant see how he could improve the team this season,I don't mean that as an insult to Barry I mean it more of a compliment to our current squad of players.
  14. http://www.jobs-north.co.uk/Inverness-jobs...nager/329278365 Know anyone looking for a part time job for a bit of extra cash.
  15. Its a bit early to mention admin We could discuss if someone wanted to buy ICT and carry on their debt or let the club go bust and wipe out the dept and go back to division3 Or would you want to invest in a club in dept or invest in one starting afresh in div 3 Its way too early to mention the above and not worth wasting the time. Dunfermiline,Dundee, county and Motherwell- now thats worth discussing . The way the team are playing just now the future is looking a lot rosier.
  16. Thought he played not bad at all considering he was put straight in to the team,
  17. Pies were pretty good, hot too, the staff were a bit slow but not bad for a first attempt, I'm sure it will improve as the team gels and get up to speed. Is there much surplus from hospitality, the extras could quite easily be put in to plastic containers like the ones from the Chinese takeaways and sold as the special of the day from half time onwards assuming the people at hospitality eat before the game.
  18. What do you mean freezing thought you took hospitality, you would have been in a lovely warm place at half time having a hot cuppa and pie with not a que in sight.
  19. I'm away to find my themal pants.
  20. And the mister pedantic award for December goes to - :005: Fur gude nus syke ur u board ur summit.
  21. Aren't the pies a bit small for doing that kind of thing? maybe you could try an American pie.
  22. They're a bunch of chancers, the same site said it was sunny from 12. last night.
  23. Had my doubts last night but the weather men predicted that it should be sunny from 12 ish onwards. The sun is trying to break through the mist as I type in the Culloden. Talking of rtas,I was driving through Kirkcaldy during the week and was so mesmerised by 2 giant illuminated cranes and thought hang on a minute shouldn't I be watching the road.
  24. Did someone know say on another thread that Foran is banned for one game and Duncan is banned for three? how about adding this to your favourites Coulomb http://www.scottishfa.co.uk/football_docum...es.cfm?page=722 I think I should read all the posts before adding to it.
  25. Wow that's hilarious.... Anyway, I'm led to believe it'll be the same back line again tomorrow, so this bloke will probably be at right midfield. Can't say I know much about him, but what emergency has taken place so an emergency loan has been brought in? On the whole though, it's not really in the midfield that players are needed just, ICT are crying out for a decent centre half to challenge Bulvitis and Munro. Mr Duncan is out for tomorrow,So he may well go straight in to that position, and the Spl are altering their rules on loans due to the fact that players arent getting games with there being no reserve games. I think the sfl rules have stayed the same though, so ICT cant loan out till the 1st.
