I wonder if a certain striker may be going the other direction for a month as we are a bit top heavy in that dept, Aberdeen aren't scoring many goals and Barrowman impressed in the first game of the season against the dons.
-
Thats because both mine and tony's drums are knackered and plus we have no beaters! The right people are out there to help you out but its better if you go looking for them to see if they will help with regards to getting your drums fixed. That might work, if not sent a letter to the north pole and Santa might be good to you.

1 team is always going to finish bottom no matter how good the last team is, can you add the points acquired at the end of the season for the demoted club to give a clearer picture of the failings of the relegated team.

Thats the link 12th man,no sure why it's no working as it's the same one.I don't see it as giving rich owners leverage to buy out the lease then give the seats away for next to nowt, but an opppertunity for ALL clubs, when away, to market these games to their own supporters. If it works everybody wins as the home teams get more than they would normally expect and the away team get extra support and better atmosphere. Thats a strange one I clicked on the first post and it said the link appeared to be broken last night and its ok now.
-
The dee for life link appeared to be broken is this what you are discussing? http://www.dee4life.com/storage/Dee4Life%2...%20Revenues.pdf Which means the away team leases the away stand for a premium price and then dictates what price to set for its away fans. So for example if you were a multi millionaire you could hire an away stand fill it with all of your fans by only charging ?5 for adults and ?1 for kids to lift the team and pick up extra points. I would try and bring up that one if I was mega rich,

After looking at the usual argos/amazon site. I have found that whsmithentertainment and game.co.uk are far cheaper for certain computer games and with free postage. Any other bargain sites to compare prices ?

Would a Santa's grotto be feasible to organise and set up at the stadium for the Raith game especially with it being kids for a quid Do we have enough merchandise to cater for youngsters,or something unique, photos etc. Or would it be easier to put a Santa's grotto neon sign above the club shop and an x-mas tree with lights on it on the roof, and have the staff dressed as Santa's elves for the day, to pull more customers in.
-
Thanks for that, one less present to get now.

I don't know what to get someone who has everything, for Christmas. Can anyone remind me how much a brick costs and when is the latest that I can buy one for it to be up in time for the Dundee match?

Great initiative from Partick and good to see ICT trying something regarding kids prices.I think the whole thing should be extended to all kids under 16 should get in free to all SFL games when accompanied by an adult unless the club thinks a certain game will be a sell out. This would encourage folk along to watch more local games and, as you say, the club will probably recoup a fair bit of any lost revenue through food and drink sales.Football spectating is habitual and needs kickstarting to get a new generation into the habit that many older hands have got out of,if it's to survive and prosper in the long term. Great post Heilandee. I agree with you 100% I think trying to create habitual attendance among young fans would be a positive step. I'm not sure if the kids at Partick even have to be accompanied by an adult. Good idea but. We still have a hefty wage bill, I would imagine a reduction in sponsorship and hospitality income, a reduction in full paying adults this season, the attendance figures are about the same but the revenue will be far less from those attending. I think ICT are being generous as it is, or at least being realistic that if they didnt do something about priceing to get fans in, the present and future attendance figures would drop. But you have to strike a balance between making some money and doing a Clach. As for buying kids crisps, coke and a hotdog x 2 plus a programme ?12.50 ? how much money do you think ICT make on this amount.

Can the local primary schools be sent out a poster advertising kids for a quid? before someone moans about the cost of postage. There aren't that many primary schools within a 35? mile radius. Or is ICT two steps ahead of me already. If would also be a good time to offer to take someone else's kids that you know, as it gives their parents a bit of free time to do some shopping at this time of year.

I was kind of hoping that the 1st div would take a bigger slice but going by a quote from last years payout apparently not. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/s...v_1/7743459.stm At what stage if any is SPL2 And finally, bad news for teletext as its stopping on 14th december

Positive effect ! Does this confirm that 300 away fans make more noise that 3000 home ones. Have you looked at the table for home and away form. I have just looked at the table, if the league was split in to home and away tables we would be in 7th place for home games and 1st for away games. Even after losing to Partick

How would you compare the noise generated by our fans at home and away games? Do noisy fans have a positive effect on the team that you support. At away games, do you normally find that the noisy ones go and sit as high up the stand as they can, they usually start the noise, the ones below join in and the spectators sit lower down? all the people are fans and they have all decided where they want to sit? If you mixed all of the fans up and randomly placed them back in the stand, would the atmosphere be the same and would some fans be happier sitting elsewhere? Would you say that the atmosphere is good at home or could it be improved? Think of the match you enjoyed the most, was it deadly silent or was it a din and did you feel a compelling urge to make some noise too ? Getting back to the north stand its not about eviction, its about getting some of the pieces of the jigsaw in the right place. voluntarily of course.

First and foremost I don't want to upset any of ICT's fans by suggesting that they must move out of a certain area. IF say section G was to become noisier, would some fans sitting in this area prefer to move? I used to go to around 75% of home games and pay at the gate but bought my season ticket when we joined the SPL and have done ever since. but I preferred to move from my usual seating area because I was sick of someone behind always getting angry, shouting at the team and wingeing. I felt that my enjoyment of the game would be better if I sat somewhere else. I don't think that section G was ever advertised as a singing section so fans originally just sat there to watch the game. Its about the quality of enjoyment at the game, some people may not enjoy being surrounded by noisy fans and may wish that they sat somewhere quieter, some are happy joining in and I bet some would absolutely love to sit in section G. So its not about forcing people from their seats its about raising the awareness of where fans sit and why and improving their day out.

Sorry struggling to see the benefit for the club for this to happen How about trying to recreate the same noise levels that our fans make at away games.
-
Stay off the memory destroying substances. You went out on 12th Jan 2008 in 4th Round, we stayed in until the 12th Feb 2008 in the 5th Round. Ha! You actually checked :009: :( :D :D :D :D Priceless. Aaahh blesss, I think county actually finished higher than us in the league once as well cant miss that one out either can we.
-
I thought this would warrant its own thread instead of merging with atmosphere and Scottish cup round 4. With the Motherwell game coming up the club has the opportunity to sell tickets for a noisy section which could be publicised as say section F/G. The club can then gauge the level of interest for this section, how many season ticket holders have requested a move out of this area for the game and how many have wanted to stay. The club will have some real facts and figures to go by and also a noisy north stand. Thoughts

Whether you have lost faith in him, the board have lost faith in him or the main shareholder have lost faith in him doesn't matter a jot as they can't afford to get rid of him (not saying they want to get rid of him) and his fantastic sidekick Malpas, unless they walk they will both be there until the end of the season so best just get used to it.

As Scotty has pointed out a bar that is open 18 times a year wont pay for itself. would a temporary beer tent be covered by the same alcohol license that is issued for the kingsmills suite as licenses arent cheap. Some cafes etc have now stopped selling alcohol, one owner told me that his license has jumped up to ?1,400 for a small coffee shop, so now he doesnt have one. kind of a backward step if you as me as its the government who make all the profit on the sale of booze.

Can any one remind me who our opponents were the last time we were in the 1st division and how did the league table finish. Would you deem the other teams to be strong opposition? having the top two teams from div 1 join the SPL the year before our promotion did this help our promotion quest too. Who were the main contenders for promotion that year and why ? did any teams have wealthy financial backing at the time. Excluding our last year in div 3, when we had a support of around 3000, have we ever been way out in front in the league table since.
-
I think the future will be clearer after the next five games.
-
An adult and 2 under 8s for only ?72 for the rest of the season, it would cost more than that to not take them.

Good idea, If all interested parties could email the club wishing to join the singing section, with the full intent of singing, the club could then guage the volume of interest, see what size of area is required, contact the existing fans in that location to inform them that where they sit is about to get very noisy and would they like to move or participate,It would obviously be a round robin request so no point being offended if you are one noisy bunch. It could be done this season though if the hunger is there from the fans and the club. 2 weeks for all interested fans to note an interest, 1 week to advise season ticket holders if they wish to move, also explaining that it is for the good of the club, the players and fans and thanking them for their support, advising that they are perfectly entitled to stay but it will become very noisy. The more quiet ones that request a move the better and if some people don't bother to reply within 7 days then allocate the seats around them they will probably move soon after. which leaves 7 days to get the tickets organised and if their not ready in time then they can easily be printed off at the club shop for one game surely. This can either be discussed or put in to action Its up to you do do something about it and force the issue if enough genuine people contact the club. and rightly named the caleykid1994 stand.
