  1. ----- Original Message ----- From: Matt Roche To: undisclosed-recipients: Sent: Monday, September 21, 2009 11:13 AM Subject: OYT Scotland, 7 day voyage 28th Sept - 4th October. ?100 I would be grateful if you could pass on the following opportunity to your members: The OYT Scotland has berths available for young people aged 12 ? 16, on a voyage from Oban to the Clyde next week from the 28th September to the 4th of October. The voyage will be onboard our vessel Alba Venturer and will sail from Oban Marina on the Island of Kerrera and finish in the Victoria Harbour in Greenock. This voyage is an excellent opportunity to visit some remote and beautiful islands on the west coast. Participants will complete their RYA start yachting certificate and learn a great deal about themselves and others. OYT Scotland?s voyages are all about developing people and there are hundreds of opportunities to develop teamwork and communication skills. Above all we aim to make learning fun and all our staff are very experienced and always keep the adventure exciting and engaging. Due to the short notice we are offering berths for the heavily subsidised rate of ?80, reduced from ?480. The crew are accommodated onboard and the price includes all food and safety equipment. Please note that this opportunity is strictly limited to young people aged between 12 and 16. Our voyages are hard work and demanding and often visit remote parts of Scotland. We therefore may refuse participation in some medical circumstances. For further information or to make a booking please contact us. 2. I started reading this and had a flash back of a scene from slumdog millionaire, of a county fan covered in sh1te walking through other fans to get to Craig Brewster for an autograph. We need more crazy fans or hypnotise the main stand to think that they have travelled for 5 days to get to the match,it seems that the more time you spend travelling to the match the more you give of yourself, whereas some people just turn up at a home game and wait to be entertained.
  3. Delusions of grandeur, we have finished higher than them for 6 years. where are the best bars airdrie or coatdyke? 30 something? was in a bar in Airdrie that the owner hated anyone that swore which one could that be.

  5. I think its possible, a draw wont be enough with 11 points, The table may finish somthing like this 1, Russia, 18 2,Greece, 14 2,France, 14 2,Ukraine/Croatia, 14 5, ROI, 13 6,SCOTLAND, 13 7, Bosnia,Hertz, 12 8,NIre, 12 9,Sweden,12 Based on likely outcomes and not just the best case senario for Scotland, Scotland still need to beat Hollande first though
  6. and that one :D And what about Arbroath last season.... :D I was at that game, I was confident that we would win on penalties that night, how often can you say that, not only having faith in the keeper but also in the players taking the penalties.
  7. The sad thing about last season was that no matter how good the bottom teams were in the SPL or how many points accumulated one unfortunate team was going to be relegated. If you turn that around and no matter how poor a team is,no matter how frequently they loose or draw, the least crap team in the 1st division will be in the SPL next season. We haven't exactly got off to a flying start with the home games being a draw and a loss so far, Are the thoughts of doubt starting to creep in,Any thoughts of ICT just turning up and winning will need to be altered for its going to take a lot for hard work from the team and the fans,we don't actually have to win all our games,so in the meantime I'm happy being 2 points off the top spot. In the long term having a light weight midfield is going to put a lot more pressure on the back 5,The control we had in midfield was lost a bit when Dougie Imrie,Dougie,Dougie, Imrie went off, so the midfield will either have to be braced or will have to get stuck in, on the upside we have a lot of goal scorers in midfield. So lets aim towards being the smallest losers in the league and lifting the cup.
  8. That was my thoughts too,I think the last time I saw golly in action was at Victoria park when we played against ST Johnstone in a cup game (the first time Ive been in the home end)
  9. Have'nt read any of this so far but County fans thanks for the cash. Should our fans have been primarily supporting the team instead of continually slagging off the 'dirty gipsy bar stewards'
  10. I would say we have an excellent back 5 but don't know what happened to LDZ on Saturday I hope its a one off. We have a skillful midfield, who can put balls in the back of the net, I think we just need to stiffen up midfield a little. or midfield have to stiffen up. I have witnessed all of the ICT v County midfielders score cracking goals, we need to balance the midfield scoring ability with strength and experience. And we have more firepower up front than we did at this time last year in the SPL with possibly one more on the way. I'm hoping that this is the season that fans will be talking about in years to come (good things) Can anyone remember a season where we have hit the ground running and won all of our games at the start of the season and if so how far back do you have to go.
  11. -------------------esson---------------------- Tokely-----Bulvitis-----Munro---ldz/ Hastings depending on Ldz in training Proctor----Duncan-----Cox----Mcbain -------Sanchez---------Foran------ with Proctor and Mcbain playing at a tempo to be replaced around 60 mins with Eagle and Hayes, Rooney on for Foran 75 Good defence, stronger more experienced midfield, with Proctor and Mcbain playing a 60 minute game providing the front 2, experienced link up play with Tokely, Proctor, Ldz/Hastings,Mcbain. Eagle and Hayes on to do their usual, but totally fresh, Rooney on as target man to pass to Eagle, Hayes, Sanchez or Cox with Rooney then falling back slightly lb,rb move to midfield to become a 2,4,Rooney,3. formation. Allison,Wood
  12. Rooney seems to be a good target man who can hold off a defender and cause them problems but is not finisher, of all the lower league games hes played in, his goal tally should be far higher but the shot on goal/goal ratio is extremely low.Fair play to the man for having the ball so frequently and being in the position to score instead of being posted missing in action but you still have to put the ball in the back of the net. How about the Marius Niculae set up with a 4. 5. 1, with Rooney pulling the defence in and passing to the midfield to score.
  13. Conty v Airdrie :32: lawson, keddie Partick :32: keddie,brittain,wood,watt,morrison :) miller Raith :32: watt,vigurs,boyd,brittain,kettlewell,wood.
  14. He seems to think that County have an advantage because he has more Scottish players than us and they understand derby games more. That is like Alec Ferguson hypothetically saying that Man U will have an advantage over Man City because if he had more English players they would understand the derby game more

I thought this might be a good experience for our youth.I have just picked up an email regarding this, so I dont know if places are still available but with a departure time at 2pm on monday there is still may be a bit of time to get things organised. The downside is,you will miss the County game, the up side it will be a great experience. 22. Thanks for the maths lesson!! Firstly, running a minibus costs the same for the drivers wages & not much less in fuel, granted, the hire of the bus costs less, but does it cover costs? Second point, if you can find a reliable bus company that can service all areas at ?450... please let us know, thinking how far some away grounds are & how long they take to get there.... Good point, of the regulars on the bus, will you still use the bus to go dingwall or make your own way? I dont think it is viable to run a bus to County... I think I am correct in saying there will not be a supporters club bus to Dingwall... There are plenty of buses (Service 25 @ 25mins past & 45 mins past the hour) & trains ( at 13.32 & 13.59) from the town centre. I thought that might be the case, where the supporters bus doesnt matter for a local game, this would be the only league ground that the supporters club could actually make some money but I dont know if the bus is hired by the day or by the hour.
  23. I wouldn't worry about that, someone who cant go without a cigarette for 2 hours probably reeks anyway, CALEYD has made a very valid and reasonable point if you really need to smoke at half time give the club ?100 for the privilege, When you take off free parking, free halftime pie and drink plus other perks how little is it really costing you. I would like to buy a pre match drink at the stadium or the occasional late lunch. If I gave the club ?100, I could do that too. I wouldn't expect someone to moan that they want a dram, food, free parking or bus, free halftime p&b etc at the ground but don't want to pay the ?100. So the same applies to smoking.
