THB I think Esson being no 1 depends on how good the goalies on trial are. With the Fraser v Esson case, one goalies strength seemed to be the others weakness. So if a goalie comes in and ticks all the boxes he will be no 1

I paid for mine weeks ago and haven't got mine yet either 'I aint boffered tho' I was sent out a receipt the next day so I have proof and I cant use it for another month yet anyway.

Under Brewster our home (league) record last season was W1 D2 L8 but Butcher's record was W3 D3 L2 so a continuation of this with less draws and more wins would be nice. When we were in the SPL, I didnt follow SFL1 (just as I didnt really follow the SPL when we were in SFL1) so this is pure guesswork (and hope). ICT Dundee Dunfermline Partick Morton Queen of the South Ross County Raith Rovers Ayr Livingston (because of admin deduction of 10pts) I feel many on here have got so used to being negative about the mighty ICT since Brewster and our eventual relegation that they cannot see we actually have a decent team by Div1 standards. I would be a lot more worried if we were going into an SPL season with the current squad but we arent, its the 1st division, and despite dundee's transfer market dealings, we can match them I think. I would go with that prediction.I hope the rest of Div 1 see Dundee as the main threat, they will probably shut up shop against them. I wonder what calibre of player TB will take on trial. Or perhaps 8 Airdrie 9 Raith 10 Ayr

Yippee!! A central defender that doesn't use his head lets in a lot of goals, was he injured, I don't think he was even used in the reserves of late. Maybe Brewster has put in a good word for him??

1. Disagree totally with your last point. Terry Butcher has no experience of the first division. Chisolm, Scott, McCall, McIntyre etc all have plenty of knowledge and experience of the teams in this league. Butcher doesn't. I understand what you are saying Alex as playing each other 4 times a season you know exactly what to expect from the opposition, on a more positive note, the opposition wont have a clue what to expect from us so it works both ways.

How many points will we need this season. If we were to continue with our SPL pattern against SPL teams IE wlwlwl etc it would only give us 54 points, A wdwl pattern would give us 64 points, I would imagine TB would be raging if they lost any game. but 64 ish should be enough.

I think well do OK, we have an SPL mentality IE, SPL manager,SPL players and SPL fans. Dundee are buying up the 1st division. where as we are looking for SPL players. We may not win every single game but neither can the old firm ?

I think they will go bust, I cant see a large investment being made just to pay off promises to football clubs. Setanta will still have a shortfall between income and payment to football clubs even with new investment. The TV rights are over priced if they go bust the contracts are terminated and other broadcasters negotiate a new deal, theres no point bailing out Setanta if their contracts are losing money

If TB leaves and MM takes over. How would you feel if Ross Tokely was to grow his hair longer? Would you approve or disapprove I personally would not mind if it was a bit longer or shorter.

Just wanted to say well done to the noisy fans, especially the North stand. For they have contributed to new fans buying season tickets. I didn't renew my season ticket only to watch ICT but to be back amongst friends, hear the wise cracks and especially hear our fans sing, what an atmosphere our fans can create, they were great at the last game of the season. New fans that turned up for the Falkirk match to support their local team will be expecting the same experience at every home game now.( I don't mean the result I meant the atmosphere) After going to more away games near the end of last season I can honestly say I am becoming a fan of the fans.

I think we have to keep the faith and wait and see what happens. For the calibre of player that we want to bring to the club,Scottish 1st division football may not be the players first choice but I have faith in TB and I believe that his name carries a lot of weight, I am keen to hear of new signings but don't mind waiting for the right players.
