Just now its 38 games, or, top 6 plays 36 games and has bigger crowds bottom 8 plays 40 games, with smaller crowds = 2 extra midweek fixtures + setanta coverage? top teams will play more games due to cup runs domestic and euro anyway everything is fair again with a balance between home and away matches, eg We could be playing hamilton 3 times at home this season if hibs finish in the top 6 or hibs 3 times at home if motherwell go up As you have also mentioned this has a positive effect in lower leagues, the standard is a lot higher in div1 now, if 2 teams come up, then 2 go up from div 2 which helps the existing 1st div clubs maintain fulltime football as the 2 new teams are more likely to go down again at the end of the season.

Has anyone changed their minds on the team they picked yet . I'm still sticking with Kilmarnock. I would prefer Falkirk but they can score goals from time to time.

I would have been happy with a point on Saturday and maintained the 4 point lead, maybe some of the players had the same thoughts or maybe were just trying too hard. Can we do away with the 6 pointer phrases, If we play a team and win we get 3 points, if Falkirk lose and we win we still get 3 points.

I have a figure in my head that was in the press the last time we were in the semis and its staying there. Falkirk put us out of the CIS cup from an offside position. Knocked us out of the Scottish cup by scoring via a penalty and somehow stopped a very good ICT from scoring against them, even with 10 men. Were now out of the cup which is a shame but its in past now and its time to move on, there will be more cups to play for, next season. Good luck in the League.

If Motherwell go up, Hibs on paper would have 5 home games so we would get 1 and probably Mirren or Hamilton would get 1 Leaving us with 2 home games, St Mirren OR Hamilton with 2, and the rest with 3 home matches, Which would mean if MOTHERWELL are in the top 6, we would have FALKIRK and HIBS at home If Hibs go up, on paper, we have 1 home game and the rest have 3 home matches, Combined with Scotty's knowledge, would mean. If HIBS finish in the top 6, we would have FALKIRK and HAMILTON or MOTHERWELL. I think it will be unlikely that we will have 3 home games as it would muck up the balance too much. I would assume that the powers that be, may very well give us Motherwell at home due to the condition of their pitch as opposed to Hamilton. I haven't worked out what would happen just yet if we finish in the top 6 but will gladly do so if that possibility arises.
