If Ferguson is feeling down about this I hope he looks to GMS for inspiration, he couldn't even get signed by us because of injuries whilst on trial at Clach and look where he is now.

Changed days eh, we used to pick up the Aberdeenshire players who the Dons no longer wanted and now they take our players to strengthen their team.

Was trying to be subtle. Wasn't trying to bum up KC just making a point that if someone's got a good eye or good contacts then it shouldn't necessarily be the managers full responsibility to create a squad when the managers hands would be full anyway with tactics, set pieces, training regimes etc.

If they let the person who found Storey head hunt a squad, then I will renew my season ticket immediately and let the manager get on with managing the team.

That may well tie in with a limited edition 25 year top a few years from now, if that's what's on the cards but that doesn't fit with the deal running to 2018.

It's a shame he's moved on and a bigger shame it's Aberdeen but he never said he was committed to resigning for us, he did suggest that he would be open to a return to Scotland that was all. He did a good job for us when he was here and improved himself as a player so we both came out of it OK.

He smoked and could take a good drink and was funny with it. I think he was shipped off to Forfar around that time. Also a very good player.

I wish him all the best, I will always remember his winning goal in our Cup semifinal and I don't think a player will get such a warm farewell for a good few seasons if that's any concellation. The only way it could have gone any better was for him to score to make it 5-0. Just to kill off any chance of a comeback from Dundee.

What happened to all those flags that were waved at our Cup final or the party in the park the following day? Will any be on show for the last game of the season, the only ones I've seen were either side of Dave the Raves banner. Go on bring them along.
