I don't think that is what people were moaning about last season, it was that we were constantly lumping a high ball, if the team are defending a lead of course there are times they will have to sit back and defend. I agree that we could have lost the goal if we did sit back and defend but I understand those that are complaining we perhaps should have introduced a more defensive minded player with a bit of experience. Myself I just think it was a mistake by Esson, unfortunate and disappointing but would have been more than happy with a point at the start

I am afraid I have to agree with Charles on this one I think Scottish medals would be very thin on the ground had we not been part of team GB. And do you honestly think an Independent Scotland would be investing a lot of cash in sport, where would the cash come from??

So the new season is almost upon us, lets all look forward to it with anticipation. We all need to show a bit of patience as the squad gets used to playing with each other. Lets not shout Butcher never should have got rid of Tokley at the first poor performance as remember there were plenty of poor performances with Tokely in the side last season. The new players need a chance to bed in, the new squad needs a time to gel together lets give them the chance to do that. Finally please no "should Butcher go" polls should a couple of early defeats happen. Lets all believe!!!!

Totally agree...there is not one club in the country that has rejected a player only for him to go on to big and better things. I was reading an interview with Shay Given before the Euros and he was on Celtic's books as a youngster and they let him go. No point on dwelling on what might have been and as they say hindsight is a great thing.

I don't know what salary Butcher is on but I believe he is also doing the Director of Football job now instead of Bennett who was getting paid a fairly good salary for it until the club went down to the 1st Division...I still believe that Butcher will be one of the poorer paid managers in the SPL and who ever we got in would be looking for a comparable salary. If Butcher does keep us in the SPL this season whatever he is getting paid is money well spent considering the financial constraints the club are under. I would hope that when Butcher is due a new contract that is decided by what happens on the pitch rather than what he is getting paid.

I do think that those that feel the standard of football on show last season didn't have an effect of season ticket sales are kidding themselves, I for one know a few people that said they were not renewing this season for that very reason. Watching ICT last season was not a pleasurable experience and many have said they couldn't wait for the season to end so no surprise they are not rushing out to buy tickets, it might not be the right thing to do but it is a factor.

Unbelievable people are trying to do some good for the club and people are complaining about the name. Well done to all involved a sensible move to join these groups together

While there is no excuse for these actions from nothing more than mindless morons, however I am told that Novo does nothing to help himself with tweets trying to wind up these morons, not the cleverest of things to do from someone that has experienced the "goldfish bowl" that is Glasgow.

I do think that it is easier to keep players that came up through the divisions with the club and were settled I the area. Perhaps just a natural progression and one of the down sides of being a consistent SPL club that pays at the bottom end of the SPL pay table

If this is the case I wonder why our club seems (according to the Daily Record) to have bigger problem with this than most of the other SPL clubs?

One thing for sure id Butcher can't moan about bad luck if we have an injury ravaged season, a lot of his signings have a history of being injury prone and that for me is the biggest worry this coming season

Didn't get overly excited by the win over Coventry and not going to get disheartened by this loss, pre season friendlies are all about fitness and bonding. I do feel that some people got a bit carried away by the Coventry win and we will know how we are looking 5-6 games into the season.
