  1. Which one of the highly credible offers (sarcasm) did you want us to accept? Makwana’s or Anderson’s? Ketan couldn’t provide any proof of funds and one quick look at Companies House shows Anderson’s bid would have wasted our time too. Anderson also pulled out of a takeover at the last second with a club down in England. Administration was inevitable as nobody with a modicum of business sense would have bought the club with the level of debt it had incurred. Further by not pushing the admin button now, we risked Alan Savage walking away and being in an even worse or frankly terminal place.
  2. Ferguson gone apparently
  3. Surely sitting on 7,000 unanswered emails comes under gross misconduct?
  4. Not wanting to get into a slagging match however it was not at all clear what you meant by “mindless idiots” hence my question as to my knowledge there was nothing out of order from the young guys said or done yesterday as I sit literally right behind them. Legitimate concerns about the shambles of a club we support right now are rightly seeing those young fans challenge the board, players and management team and they have the same right as you, me and any other paying fan to do so so long as it is within the law and from my experience that is more often than not the case. Secondly, @Leaky Blinder has already said “cretinous shouting” was the reason his child was upset. Obviously, thats not good to hear of her having a negative experience at a game and I hope she can come back in the future and have a far better time. However I would say that frankly taking your child to any game for that matter up and down the country you are going to hear unsavoury things that you won’t like, unfortunately thats just life. Considering the Summer in particular we have just had and the last few weeks especially, there was always a high likelihood if not certainty that fans would be making their feelings felt. There are more than plenty areas in the ground where i’m sure any young fan attending his or her first game can go and enjoy the game in peace away from the Young Team in Section D. @Fraz made a great point in the thread about us having one of the most laidback supports about and its true. As I mentioned earlier I genuinely believe this is a reason frankly that the board for the longest time got away with what they did for so long as not enough people were vocal enough at games to call out the mess behind the scenes as it was seen as a small voice in an otherwise silent support.
  5. Please define what you mean by “mindless idiots” I’m genuinely intrigued. If you believe these people are “mindless idiots” for: - Calling out a board who nearly sunk the club with the mass debts racked up; - Calling out a manager who has us playing the worst football I can recall from an ICT team (and is earning still megabucks for the privilege); - And calling out our players to perform better against a part time team with 10 men. Then sign me up as a “mindless idiot”.
  6. If people are offended by expletives in 2024 when heading to the football then they seriously need to give themselves a shake and get a grip. As I mentioned earlier, the stadium at the best of times has the atmosphere of a library and God forbid a bunch of young guys trying their best to generate something resembling an atmosphere. Who has the right to tell them as you mention above to “F off” when as far as I understand the only complaints yesterday relate to excessive swearing? Personally, all power to the younger guys who vocally made their feelings known to Scot Gardiner and the board throughout the majority of last season. At times last year I wondered if there was a greater number of fans voicing similar would change have come earlier. I do feel on the whole these negative and unfounded attitudes from the Worthers Originals section of our support (only fair seeing as people want to point fingers at them) towards these younger guys will only push them away longer term.
  7. Abuse such as any threats of physical harm, racism, homophobia or any other bigotry has no place both at ICT or society in general. However, it’s a football ground first and foremost and you will never sanitise foul language at a game and is delusional to think so. Things are going to be shouted at players, managers and opponents, that’s inevitable. We are also going through arguably the most torturous time in our existence as a football club and tensions as others have mentioned are understandably running high. Do I sympathise with people with young kids hearing foul language at games? - Absolutely. Do I feel people deserve to let their feelings known at those running the club and performing on the pitch, especially at this current time? Absolutely. ICT is a broad church and the creation of the family section in the North Stand was designed for exactly that. It’s great to see so many young families going to games and long may it continue. The Young Team at the other end of the stand are our most and only section of vocal support and credit to them travelling home and away week in and week out supporting the club through thick and thin. If it wasn’t for them the stadium would be more of a library than it already is.
  8. Just seen the P&J article showing the extent of our troubles: https://www.pressandjournal.co.uk/fp/sport/football/inverness-caledonian-thistle/6558499/former-ictfc-chief-alan-savage-has-warning-amid-title-target/ Savage said administration remains a possibility and he requires key shareholders to get around the table and strike a deal for the good of the toiling club. He said: “I am trying to put matters to bed as soon as possible. “I believe the first set of figures I saw (were debts of) £450,000. On closer inspection, it rose to £600,000 and then £700,000. “On Wednesday, we found out we owed (kit supplier) Puma £60,000 for last season alone. “It seems £120,000 of kit had been ordered and our new CEO Charlie Christie cannot yet get the details of what’s been ordered. It’s been over-ordered. “So that takes the amount to more than £800,000. I have put £200,000 in this week. “With the help of people like (former director) David Cameron, who has some great ideas on the property side to drive in revenue, while (former chairman) David Sutherland will also be helpful and has pledged some money to the club, we can also approach other businesses with that in mind. Also clarified that the Companies House filing was his lawyers mistake: Savage, who is determined to bring transparency to light for the ICT fans, was keen to clear this one up after it appeared on Makwana’s LinkedIn page amid a discussion. He said: “I signed a form saying I’d join the board on the understanding it would be when I get to the bottom of the financial situation, whether it is three or four weeks, however long it takes me. “Until I knew what was going on, I remain as a consultant as it wouldn’t be in order for me to join the board. “However, the lawyer in the meeting has somehow sent it in by pressing the button in error. We soon realised that happened and rescinded it.”
  9. Club apparently claiming there was a "clerical error" that saw Savage listed as a Director on Companies House: https://www.inverness-courier.co.uk/sport/caley-thistle-say-clerical-error-led-to-former-chairman-in-358466/ Just shows what a shambles the club is from top to bottom and I still get the strong pit in my stomach that yet again something isn't quite adding up...
  10. "Company directors have a legal duty under the Companies Act 2006 (“the Act”) not to file false information on Companies House. Knowingly or recklessly delivering information or making a statement to the Registrar of Companies that is misleading, false or deceptive is a criminal offence under s.1112 of the Act and can lead to imprisonment and/or a fine." Considering Mr Makwana isn't a director of ICT at this point in time (and is hopefully never!) this makes this even more bizarre of a development. Perhaps he may feel some pre-agreement terms have been breached but the devil will be in the detail of the agreement itself and sadly for us all that will be covered by NDA's. Can imagine he may be chasing recouping some legal costs though. Appears fair to suggest on the face of things that he was unlikely to be provided permission by a person with the authority to do so to remove Alan Savage as a Director given the "pausing" of the takeover talks with 77Ventures. Who knows who made the change however on the site itself. However on behalf of all fans - can all the drama please just end?
  11. Not for me - primarily results on the pitch are paramount and his tactics cure insomnia. I can almost semi understand playing that way when we were in the Championship trying to stop the rot but in League 1 as a full time side playing this way is laughable. I agree however that realistically we can’t afford to part with him but if the opportunity were to rise I would bite your hand off to send him back to Merseyside. His comments also a few weeks back about not understanding fans frustrations relating to boycotting summed up as well how out of touch he is with the fanbase and wider City.
  12. It's been far too long since I've felt somewhat optimistic about the future of our football club. Delighted Alan is now at the helm and agree that there is now a sense that the adults have entered the room. We all now need to rally and back the club by buying our season tickets. The club needs us still more than ever. My final thoughts in reflection are that I wish our recently departed friend Johndo was still with us to see and hear the news of today The Caley are back IHE!
  13. What right do Caley Jags Together have to ban individuals for daring to attempt to create an atmosphere at a football game? Another reason why crowds are dwindling across the country when fans already spending their hard earned money travelling the length and breadth of the country are actively discouraged from vocally supporting and getting behind their team. As per it seems like CJT act like the moral arbiter and the collective "voice" (the irony) of the entire support when really they have no grounds to do so.
  14. I do despair at times listening to some of our fans and their 'expectations' they have of the lads. We're currently sitting fifth in the table and are within touching distance of our rivals whilst still producing some of the best football we've ever played as a team. Sure today was pretty grim viewing from an attacking sense but defensively the team looked resolute and solid throughout, with Raven producing yet another fantastic performance as you mention. However, the return of Nick Ross to the starting XI was a pleasing surprise and in my opinion he should have been awarded man of the match for his constant energy and willingness to drive forward with the ball on a day when our midfield was mostly static and devoid of an attacking threat further emphasising the importance of Marley Watkins to the side. Being in the North Stand I can't comment fully on the manager today but your comment does sound highly petty. I'd never been his biggest admirer, but he's answered his critics time and time again and won over much of the support for his clear enthusiasm and his style of play which has bare fruit countless times this season; which funnily enough is far more attractive than his predecessors 'kick and chase' tactics.
  15. Take note Roy, he should have been on the plane...
  16. think I'd prefer Andy Barrowman back than signing Josh Magennis...
  17. I'm not naive enough to believe that we as a team could remain in the top 3 all season due to our player budget and squad size compared to our rivals, but the fall from grace has been somewhat spectacular. From a team that seemed well organised at the back and played attractive counter attacking football we've seen the polar opposite in recent months where we now look brittle at the back and toothless up top. I previously stated i'd give him until after the Summer to judge him properly, but as the weeks have gone by i've felt more and more disillusioned with the same rhetoric being spouted as an excuse for us not getting the results with arguably the best squad we've ever assembled. I wanted to give the man time and to eat my words but now I think his time is up. The 27 pages in relation to this of this is somewhat deafening. The proverbial ball is now in the boards court.
  18. rather like this PSG style shirt, a nice change in my opinion if we did it
  19. Hate to say it but C*unty are a bigger club than us . Ok explain...... Bigger support and better stadium to begin with .
  20. I'd of really liked to have seen what Butcher would have done any differently considering our small squad and fixture pile up, especially since he's completely revolutionised Hibs failing side into this winning machine we see before us. I do wonder where this thread would have been if John's tactics, however negative they seemed, won us our first national trophy. I wasn't a huge Hughes supporter when he first arrived, but surely give the man time to get his targets in the Summer and then judge him. Top six for the second season in succession, a cup final, and a team all signed up on one of the smallest budgets in the Premiership. You can never please some people.
  21. League Cup all day long
