  1. Is it just me or does Ross Draper look like a large giant Jack Whitehall . We need to kill these games off they are not meant to be comedians
  2. No because we would have played Saturday so doubt we would be playing 2 games in 2 days
  3. Yes and we need to find a big goal scorer for windy days when the ball balloons up in the air as Billy struggles on days like that . Also a 6'2' quick centre back who can get back to cover balls over the top we do not deal with that well . But all boxes still ticked for this season so far ,
  4. reckon you are miles out probably half that amount by the time expenses are taken off and the SPFL get a 3rd so what is left to share is unlikely to be more than £400/500K between the finalists so £200/250K each
  5. Regretfully to a degree Dougal is correct although the more often we get to semis and finals the attitude of some from bygone days will disappear and a better support will develop going forward . if we have 3500 regulars then if each takes a minimum of 1 friend to the final the 7k is already guaranteed . There will then be the group of non football people who will go to be part of history so that takes us to 10k. finally I believe half of the Ross County regulars will support the Highlands as we did for them so 12k seems possible +25 k success starved Dons fans and 3k neutrals and we have 40k at the final -bring it on.

    hospitality

since the new caterers came in together with the clubs different approach i have been a couple of times and would suggest it is every bit as good as across the bridge and mine host KT is improving all the time re the welcome and craic!
  7. maybe a bit too sophisticated "Mulled Wine and Mince Pies" for our supporters - more like a pie and a pint! However great idea hope he gets a good turnout
  8. Since when has a footballer manager required to be:- * Product of a university education * Articulate * A world class footballer The greatest manager in the world Sir Alex Ferguson has none of the above (ok an Honorary degree) However they do need * Football Knowledge * Tactical Awareness * Man Management Skills * Passion for winning Hughes has all of the last 4 combined with experience from the school of hard knocks I wish him well and look forward to more of the same going forward.
  9. Doesn't look like it according to the Club's website . If he was going would be offski by now looks like another 2 fingers to Hibs !!!
  10. Clubs website has removed TB and MM from the Manager and Assist Managers positions but Marsella is still listed so he has not left the club. maybe more to this break up than was first thought
  11. Not what i have been told- he sold out to the Muirfield group all very quiet but i have it on good authority
  12. Suspect Sutherlands thoughts are as much guesswork as ours -he has no position in the club anymore - apart from respect!
  13. Barry Wilson That's like putting a "probationer" In a formula 1 car -an accident waiting to happen some day maybe but not this year! Old Head as David Sutherland said but with a young assistant with the new ideas -wish i new the combination but there will be one !
  14. If Terry goes suspect Brill will be off to HIBS who need a decent keeper -doubt we will see any signings now until Sir Terry makes up his mind!
  15. What a great positive this could become if he comes back from Edinburgh tomorrow and responds in the same way as he did to Barnsley by staying with us and then signs a new 2 year deal how good will that be!! Football dreams are made of this
  16. Kevin Macdonald has pedigree and is local but suspect he would not be interested at our wages . lets hope we do not end up with Robbo or Christie because they are cheap neither have really performed to any great heights as managers
  17. More likely to be vincent than meekings .players who become available in January for pre contract normally of more interest. time we got the rest of the squad signed on 2 year deals
  18. my worry is that it appears when teams attack us and close us down early we resort to "hoofing" it and the team is not best suited nor plays well in that situation .The outlet pass and controlling the tempo is when we can create our best chances . Here's hoping we can play our way out from the back on Saturday otherwise i fear for the result even if it is the side over which we appear to have the indian sign!
  19. yes home game for me + a mate from uni
  20. wadkins ,polworth and christie will hopefully feature at some stage but only after the game is safe with our 2-11 no players although could well be 1-11
  21. yes we need to boost attendances but not as much as some other team across the bridge.Yesterday's crowd of 3005 was an exaggerated figure by all accounts and the hospitality full of Global related companies . We have a good core support and gradually those who defected last year will return. As someone said earlier if we can all bring 1 extra person to all home matches and even if only 10% come back that will add about 250 extra
  22. Aye fair point i will speak to chairman next time i see him .Thanks Caley D for pointing out Ask the Club .see some of the posts on there already cover a fair no of topics
  23. I LIKE THE IDEA CAN CJT NOT APPROACH THE BOARD WITH THIS AND SEE WHAT WORKING TOGETHER MIGHT BRING?
  24. would hope both ourselves and county ask for it to be the 2nd -will be a far bigger crowd and better atmosphere .Surely the clubs could at least try and influence this, even police i bet would prefer the 2nd what do others think?
  25. if Kilmarnock go then perhaps Reguero returns and thats why Terry only gave Brill till January re other thread Esson v Brill.Just a thought!
