What if there is no money and the board are trying to raise the cash ? also I understand the stadium was not compliant and significant expenditure was needed for the Astra game and if we didn't upgrade then we would have required to play the home game at Aberdeen or Perth . the Board have as far as I know and judging by the annual accounts never held money back they either made a loss or a virtual break even .Last years profit of £20k barely gets you a good secretary.

He is an excellent young keeper but not ready for first team . He struggled in the second half at Parkhead before the cup final.

So who is the reserve keeper to Esson if he gets injured before Brill gets back? Ideally Williams and a landmark striker but that is an extra £50k plus £3 k a week in wages which on my reckoning is approx £250 k without bonuses

The reality here is that I believe the club has spent this seasons budget and the cupboard is bare. the pot of gold dream if you analyse the facts are SFA takes a huge chunk of the Scottish Cup income and this year the ticket prices were reduced and the crowd smaller . Add that to a reduced % to both clubs and perhaps the club following bonus payments and higher wages for new players who think we are top3 cup holders and Europa cup team increases the playing budget but we get less for our money. the resigning of players will always increase playing costs because players will only resign for better terms and last 2 years the club did just that with a degree of success survival this year then back to Marsella to find a new cheaper side to take us to further glory in a couple of years

Whilst it will make attending a more pleasant experience and pitches may be improved it could result in even smaller crowds with many of our supporters playing golf in summer season and holiday demands by families. Also warmer brighter longer days have also more demands on family life . Not sure it will be the resounding success some people are predicting

12th man I agree that high tide is not the reason but it has a contributory factor when you consider 1) between 150to200mm rain over a 12 hour period 2) melting snow off the hills since Monday 3) water tables are generally higher than normal even taking the winter season into account 4) it is not the whole pitch which is creating the problem but more the area between the North stand goals and half way line and has been poor since last years improvements 5) the water does not just drain away when the tide goes out like pulling the plug out of the sink Perhaps time for a plastic pitch !!
