  1. Difficult game, so I'm happy with the point. If we win the rescheduled game OTB we're six points clear of DU. Speaking of OTB: In the youtube highlights it looks like there were less than 1000 at Victoria Park
  2. Ah, that tournament next summer. Now that FIFA have banned the drums, there will be next to no atmosphere, but at least snow will have melted up to 8,000 ft in the Swiss Alps by then so I know where I'll be most of my free time.
  3. Not my absolutely first choice, but we could have got a far worse Yogi. Wait, Low isn't free until the World Cup finals... But hey, get behind him and the team and have a little faith in the board!
  4. Shouldn't the board take even more time? It's just...Duncan and Kello had 3 games, 3 wins, 3 clean sheets, 7 goals scored (though it c ould have been double figures). Let them continue a wee bit!
  5. Wahay! I'm hoping for Gryffindor. No. I prefer brains to brawns, so it has to be Ravenclaw Bist du verrückt? Rabenklaue ist von scheiße gefüllt! Sorry, I just got a bit confused as Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone was on STV at the time.

  7. Excellent result. OTB out, that adds to a nice afternoon.
  8. That's correct Rival, though it turned out that Kuljic (you actually spelled him correctly) had borrowed him about 80K Euros for furniture which Taboga wasn't able to pay back for reasons I can't fathom. While the average wages in the Austrian league are not in the millions (maybe except Salzburg), he should have been on around 3K a week. But I guess you're aware of that given your avatar picture.
  9. Did you read the latest development, Rival? Taboga himself got arrested on Wednesday for being the main culprit in the affair, with 26ish matches fixed for penalties, red cards and the like, and nearly all of them involving Grodig or his former club Kapfenberg. Seems ICT were lucky that he didn't turn up at that training camp.
  10. I guess nobody will be angry if Meekings moves on to Palace. Many will be if it is Hibs or Aberdire...
  11. Brill Shinnie Meekings Warren Tremarco Watkins Draper Doran Foran Ross Mckay Subs: Esson, Raven, Devine, Polworth, Pepper, Greenhalgh, Adgestein Pull Watkins back to holding midfield as he should be able to keep up the pace of Stevie May.
  12. I wouldn't have believed it. Both of the old filth live on telly. Just good that there is women's Bundesliga on Saturday and handball CL on Sunday on Eurosport (at least here in Germany)
  13. Thinking on the Butcher contract extension bit: Has Ritchie realized before the Hibs saga that he wouldn't have a clear perspective under the former gaffer and his condition was meant the way "I'll only stay if Butcher leaves"?
  14. Delighted!!
  15. Only if you fail to kill it properly before you stuff it into the oven.
  16. Re Dominiuqe Taboga: He went to the police on Monday claiming to be blackmailed by the betting mafia. This led to former Austrian international Sanel Kuljic and two other guys being prosecuted yesterday when they attempted to receive 3000 Euros from Taboga. His club Grodig was involved in some strange matches this season, including a 7-1 win with 3 red cards for the opponents, all correctly issued for professional fouls in the box.
  17. I'm so mad Baby I don't care
  18. Well, Mr Cameron, you know who you should offer contract extensions tomorrow! On the positive side, 9 out of the first 13 are signed beyond the end of the season.
  19. Never doubted that he would want to stay. He's the clear number one here with a good back-up. Why should he risk this position against Ben Williams at Hibs?
  20. Let's try to see another positive side: He didn't move OTB
  21. Quote ictchris: I can't think of another attacking full back who plays on his opposite side, it must be unusual for opposition players to deal with. I know one. His name is Philipp Lahm.
  22. :clapping: :clapping: :clapping: Can't remember Deano having to deal with a really dangerous ball. Except three short back passes in the first half....
  23. What about someone completely new, though experienced at a higher level? Michael Frontzeck got the sack at St. Pauli this week because he insisted on extending his contract now instead of January. Being a former German international, his record there was quite good and he's used to work with young players. Plus, he said he doesn't want to wait very long for the next job...
  24. I'd stick to Russ Ballard's "The Fire Still Burns" however.
