On a side note. I was watching an interview with the Partick CEO today and he mentioned having to potentially go part time due to being in league one. It must be infuriating to read at the same time so many patronising statements from other clubs talking about "moving on for the good of the clubs and scottish football" while trampling over the likes of Partick and Stranraer to get there. All because they are too chicken to reconstruct the league. Still. Im sure all the sympathy that they all seem to have for them will go a long way...

So just under 70% of clubs have confidence in the SPFL after this utter sham of a process. And they don't even want to find out the facts.
-
I do agree with this and barring any material change this has to be the last say on the matter. But the Record put us on the front page with those allegations and it wouldn't have been right to stay quiet. But hopefully that's all we hear now.
-
Reputation with whom? Its gone up with the likes of hearts and other afflicted clubs. But most in the central belt never liked us anyway. They hated the journeys up north and i know plenty of other clubs fans who were happy to see the back of us when we were relegated.
-
I'm fully behind the board on this. They dared to speak out against the cabal of self serving clubs and the papers and of course we are now being hounded as the latest statement says. Any club being relegated (Falkirk Partick etc) is being hounded in the same way when they release statements about their enforced demotion. Seemingly the only acceptable statement people would like would go along the lines of "we have full confidence in Doncaster. We dont want any reconstruction and everybody should stay quiet now for the good of the game. (The game being the premiership without regard to the other leagues) Also in regards to the Null and void nonsense. For teams like ourselves in playoff spots. The season is effectively Null and Void for us. No play off money or associated TV money from that. I wish the 6 self serving clubs in the Premiership would have at least got the same amount of vitriol that ourselves and other afflicted clubs are getting.
-
Great statement. Of course we had more to gain than other clubs. But the facts remain the same regardless. And its dependent on clubs like ourselves to speak up when others would stay quiet.
-
Shafted as usual but entirely predictable that the self serving premiership clubs would be stubborn. Altough i feel for Partick as they are in an even worse position than us. Relegated by two points when they had a game in hand against us. Absolute disgrace.
-
Am i the only one irked that the Scottish government has announced rates relief for pubs. Which are still open and busy as usual. But nothing for struggling football clubs? I certainly know which one brings more to the community.

If its about resources and not the spread. I assume saturday nights out in the pub will be banned? As that puts more strain on A&E than ICT v Partick on Tuesday night

Hear hear. Was great to listen to Inverness chants from the Nomads end too ? great fans. Also. They had Fon williams as a pundit for the welsh channel at the game i noticed! Someone local i suppose

Only indicator is the word "regret" over the resignation. Would have been helpful to know why though. Even just to say "personal reasons"

Matchday Thread Dundee Utd -V- Inverness CT (Cup)
lightlamp2 replied to Scotty's topic in Caley Thistle
Yes and just outside the turnstiles after the game i got smacked right in the face by one. Zero police between our fans and the trash coming out of the shed. Only trying to find the bus back and i get attacked. Lovely- 164 replies

At least we put our money to good use elsewhere like giving Doran and Fisher a contract. Both players who have made so many appearances for the club this season. Much more deserving than people like Raven /s Sack the Board.
-
Our player retention has been absolute bollocks

Scottish Cup 2016 - our defence of the trophy!
lightlamp2 replied to Sneckboy's topic in Caley Thistle
Its an absolute joke. I'm unable to go anymore. I hope others do the same. Shouldn't tolerate being shafted like this and being expected to be in easter road in under two weeks from the Highlands -
Scottish Cup 2016 - our defence of the trophy!
lightlamp2 replied to Sneckboy's topic in Caley Thistle
Would be nice to know. Because the powers that be have left it so late my only chance of going to this game now is if its on a Sunday. Would be helpful if they could be considerate of the fans attending the match. Some of whom have to work weekends and can't exactly get a holiday with one weeks notice... -
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/35476238 Article here. So it was Tansey's agent that let slip about the clause. Is that allowed?
-
How dare we voice our displeasure over one of our star players being sold. I mean who cares about the performance of the club?
-
In other words. They think its funny we're selling Tansey. Glad they take the Club seriously
-
Why does the club have a fetish with selling our best players to premiership opposition? Do we even do anything with the money we recieved? What of the half a million we received for Christie? Who have we brought in to replace him? Have we learned NOTHING from Dundee united with regards to what happens when you sell your top players?
-
Tell that to Jackie McNamara. Can't believe how you lot are just accepting he's gone and probably doing the right thing when he hasn't even talked to United officially. It would be a crap move for him, a lunatic chairman, if it went wrong another big hole in his shaky CV while he's got the chance to build up a good record in Inverness and move onto somewhere better than Dundee United ffs. I don't know about his wife and kids, but we've got nice houses and schools up here too. We're used to it by now. So we know what to expect. Patterson Robertson Brewster Butcher and now Hughes. All poached by other clubs. All have failed miserably
-
You would have thought United would learn from Brewster that poaching managers from us doesn't work
-
Well done Kenny. No poaching this time!
-
Right we have 500K. Use it for a better contract for Hughes and getting Storey signed up

Can't agree. Yes there was contact and if the ref sees it it's a red card but there was never anything like enough contact to send him down. That was pure gamesmanship. I realise it's part of the modern game but I'd rather not see our players indulge in it. Then he would have stayed on the pitch for punching another player and would have made the game more difficult to win. Certainly to score another goal
