Stop going backwards!

Poor goal to concede, a name on the ball should have prevented it. Carved out some decent chances, but a better final ball would have seen us at least level.

Need a better final ball

Pass to a blue shirt FFS

Correct me if I'm wrong but the worst poster ever in CTO history voted by us works for said organisation does he not? Dougal Congratulations. When did you start?

HawkeyeTheGnu replied to Scotty's topic in Caley Thistle
I think bogey team sums it up nicely. Patrick seem to have worked out a pretty effective plan for dealing with our style of play and exploiting any weaknesses. It is now up to our management team to recognise this and come up with an alternative strategy that gives Partick. The first Saturday in February would be a pretty good time to have it ready. -
That's what I thought happened.

This.

But Scottish football needs a strong Rangers playing in the top division.
-
So being happy that the opposition can't snuff out our goal threat by nullifying one player is 'happy clapping'? How strange.
-
So why wasn't Stewart booked for leaving the field of play when Dundee scored? Getting a bit sick of Gollum making it up as he goes along without sanction.
-
Thought we looked a bit off it yesterday, but having said that I always felt that we were doing enough to not lose the game. For me the big difference was that at 1-1 Dundee were happy to play out a draw, but we were trying to win the game. Thought that we controlled Clarkson pretty well, and Christie's goal was an absolute peach. Thought his booking was a bit harsh, didn't strike me as a particularly over the top celebration.

Doesn't make us a part-time team. Pretty sure that we became full-time (aside from the odd exception) when in the second division.
-
According to the BBC, we were a part-time club when we knocked Celtic out in 2000. Nothing like quality, well researched journalism. http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/30235604

Hi Scotty Happy to help.

Officially no, however rumours of hot and cold balls have been known to do the rounds. And Scottish football sold it's soul to tv years ago.

Good to see that this league is used to develop match officials too. Any contact less than 25 yards from goal = penalty to Rangers. And don't forget to leave your backbone, testes and ethics in the changing room.

Should have just stuck with the skag.

As Caley Mad said, he has been cleared. BBC article http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/29546542 gives his reasons for dropping to a lower level.

And how would this have prevented the two goals down to defensive errors today?? Had Warren not attempted a cushion headed backpass, the first goal could have been avoided. Without doubt Warren was trying to head the ball back but got it wrong. How that can be used as an example of passing the ball within our defence and causing errors as in stop passing the ball back, I simply do not know. That is what I was trying to say. He tried to pass the ball back using his head. He wasn't looking where he was passing, and he was moving the ball towards his own goal. The prudent thing in this instance would have been to have cleared the ball upfield with his head. I am not saying that we should never pass the ball back. However given the number of goals we have conceded by either putting Brill under pressure with a backpass, or by giving the ball to an opponent by mis-execution, I don't think that it should alawys be the default position.

Not sure about the third goal. On the radio they were saying that it was a backpass, but watching the highlights it looked like Draper mis-controlled it rather than tried to pass back.
