  1. While not all semis used to be at Hamden, the games that attract bigger crowds used to be played there. There is no way a Scottish Cup Semi against Celtic would be played anywhere other than Hampden if it was available.
  2. Doesn't particularly affect me, other than it's an earlier start than I'd like on a Sunday, but yet again the authorities have treated non central belt fans with disdain. What is particularly disappointing is that this is the second year running that we have had this debate, so it is clear that they are either not listening or don't care.
  3. Nah, he is just an enthusiastic participant in an activity that affects the eyesight.
  4. I'm surprised that listening to Nob MacLean didn't finish you off!
  5. Or not, if it keeps the players highly motivated.
  6. BT Sports don't have rights to the Scottish Cup.
  7. He was always suspended from the LC Final, a booking in the Semi Final took him over the limit. It is not clear which two games the ban would relate to. In Warren's case, it was the next two games (but that was a league game). When McCulloch was cited and banned, his two games were the next game in any competition, and the next Scottish Cup game. In either case, this would mean Ciftci missing the two Celtic games after the LC Final - the first is a Cup game so if the ban had a Scottish Cup element that would cover that, meaning the Celtic league game would be the next game in any competition. As these are the next two games he is available for, those two games would be covered by the next two games outcome. The current SFA disciplinary rules are difficult to fathom at times, and I can't find them published anywhere (they used to be on the SFA website, but I can't seem to find them). It would help if the published them for all to see, and so we would only need to speculate about whether the punishment will actually be, rather than how it will be served.
  8. You do know that this competition is run by the SFA?
  9. Can't beat a trip to Hampden for a big game.
  10. Maybe they mean he is not Davie Provan?
  11. He's already out of the LC Final. The ban would mean he misses the other two Celtic games.
  12. Yet again the SFA is shown up as the toothless, spineless shower of cretins they truly are.
  13. I really hope some Celtic player does him good and proper on Sunday.
  14. I may be in a minority of one but I actually think that Esson is the better of our two very capable 'keepers. I am not sure about better (as in genuinely not sure) but there seem to have been a reduced number of bomb-scare backpasses since Esson has been in goal.
  15. Marvellous. Given what he did to us in the QF last year, I trust our players have been told to stay on their feet.
  16. I heard they took him down to the Black Bridge and showed him the sunset. Apparently that was the clincher.
  17. I was dancing in the street when I heard this
  18. He's already banned for the LC Final
  19. You really got me with that link.
  20. Disappointed to lose today, although we didn't do enough to win. We should have gone in ahead at half time but Williams couldn't take it round the keeper. Our defence appear to have turned into vampires in that they just can't deal with crosses. Thought Ofere showed some promise, nice flick on to set Williams up at the end of the first half and held the ball up well. Having a target man will add a different dimension to our play. Slightly nervous about next week as I'm not sure how our defence will deal with Nade
  21. I don't think the media is gainst us, I just think the quality is terrible. I am sure that there are 38 other clubs that feel the same as us (the ugly sisters and for some reason Aberdeen seem to get ample coverage). I don't feel offended by the sheep reference, I just found it pointless and embarassing (but that would sum up the commentary team that evening), particularly from a national broadcaster.
  22. He was being vague.
  23. The reason that only Warren got sent off is that the officials followed the old Scottish refereeing adage: Monkey see, Monkey do nothing.
  24. Not sure if it is the players running on empty or whether teams are changing their tactics at half time and we aren't reacting.
  25. Maybe so and it looks like both should have been sent packing. But this is where the thought of "Keep the Head", smile and walk away comes in to play. Not easy to do for most but should be the instinct of a professional footballer playing for a team in great need of discipline, example and togetherness. I agree, but often easier to say than do. Having said that, if one of the green erse-cheeks goes right through Ciftci during one of their games, I won't be too upset.
