The 'he likes a red card' comment was more of a general one. However, the fact that his red card count against us rose by 3 last season would suggest that he realised his mistake.He is far too eager, in general, to flash the red card.

When paying £3M for a player you should hopefully expect him to be there or there abouts. Taking nothing away from him Portugals second tier is still a good standard. Last time Hamilton were promoted, we were relegated the following season and took 2 points out of twelve from them. Not the sort of form we need to repeat this season. Maybe so but last time we were promoted Hamilton went down following season and we took 7 points out of twelve. Maybe so, but I feel that the situation is more similar to 2008-09 than 2010-11.

Last season we looked far more dangerous to the opposition when we were more direct. When we tried to play possession football, we looked more dangerous to ourselves. I am not saying that we need to lump the ball forward a la Wimbledon in the late 80s/early 90s, but when we try to pass the ball to death, we either look like we are about to give the ball away in a dangerous place, give our goalkeeper a hospital back pass, or allow the opposition to reorganise behind the ball.
