  1. He’s only human so it would not surprise me. But he delivered a cracker of a cross for Mckay’s goal. Like many of our team, I think low confidence is an issue. Hopefully Wednesday evening has helped in that regard. On communication, they have been giving updates on the progress of Devine and Doran, whilst we know Allardice is out for the season. It would be good if they gave some indication of how long MacGregor and Walsh will be out for. In MacGregor’s case in particular, he has been missing for some time with silence from the club.
  2. Particularly in the first half but we did seem to mix it up more after half time. We are at our best when we keep it down and move it quickly and with an outlet like Pearson we should now be able to punish teams. 3. Due to being under the weather, I’ve watched the last two livestreams, the only home games I’ve watched on livestream since fans were allowed back in. What a transformation from the pixellot fiasco. A good picture, very quick replays and two camera angles. I watch all our away games when I can’t get to the games and our offering is the best I’ve seen this season. The commentators enhance it too. Ross Tokely is excellent and compliments Iain Auld and Chris MacLennan very well. Credit where credit is due, but I am looking forward to being back in the ground next Saturday. It is just a pity that they didn’t switch to this last season as Davie (I think) advised us the technology was in place and working.
  4. Ryan Christie for Bournemouth and Ali Sutherland for Brora tonight.
  5. Yes, been very impressed when watching the stream on Saturday and today when confined to being at home. Very knowledgable and spot on comments. We should snap him up as a coach!
  6. I agree entirely. We seemed much more motivated and intent than in recent games, and I’m much more hopeful that we can turn this round. We created a lot of chances, particularly in the second half, and looked the more likely until we conceded the penalty. We stopped always playing long hopeful balls and it improved our play. Pearson was the pick for me, but I also feel Sutherland played much better than he is being given credit for. It’s only one game, and we didn’t win it, but this should give us some momentum which hopefully gets us a win against Ayr in 10 days. Everyone is dropping points, so we are still in contention despite our atrocious run. There is still hope that we can salvage something from the wreckage of the last two months.
  7. 3-3. Broadfoot header from McAlear cross.
  8. Depends how bad Raith are, but Hamilton could well catch us too at this rate.
  9. Exactly! And largely self inflicted once again. Hardy on for Pearson and Chalmers free kick well saved.
  10. It’s not going to be our night! Great save from Harper shot. Pearson shot crashed off the bar. Mckay effort only just wide.
  11. Can’t complain about the penalty. 3-2 down. Frustrating as we’ve been better this half. Deas lucky not to get a second booking. Harper on for Deas.
  12. Chalmers on for Samuels.
  13. Arbroath losing and Killie drawing.
  14. 2-2. Sutherland header! McAlear corner and difficult finish at back post. Possibly more than we deserve but we have been much better than Saturday. We need to gain confidence from this and push on in the second half and play to our strengths.
  15. Didn’t last long. 2-1 down. Both goals created by Tiffoney getting past Carson and setting Graham up for easy headers.
  16. 1-1. Mckay. Pearson teed Carson up for great cross and Mckay got free to score easily. Come on!!
  17. Same long ball tactics and just not working so far. We don’t have a target man so what’s the point of it! Every second ball seems to be being won by Partick. We need to play it on the ground and see what Pearson and Samuels can create. They seem to have lost all their confidence too.
  18. Wonder what the formation will be: 4 at the back, but width from Pearson and either Samuels or Sutherland and 2 up front? Just the livestream for me again. Hopefully we get a much better performance than Saturday and surprise all of us by getting a win.
  19. I am not sure if I will make the game tomorrow as still not totally fit, so it may be the livestream again (which I thought was a good product on Saturday). I’d not normally contemplate missing a game, but do I want to watch a repeat of recent performances whilst risking a relapse due to getting cold and, possibly, wet? I am sure many will be having thoughts about whether to bother attending tomorrow’s game, which should be a concern to the club. That said, if fit I know I will definitely be there to give my support, and hoping we suddenly show signs of being able to get our season back on track.

    Sam Pearson

I agree, I’ve been quite impressed with what I’ve seen of him in the two games he has played part of. It may be he is not fully match fit yet, but I’ve had given him 90 minutes based on his performances. A pacy wide player, who seems able to play on both wings and is prepared to have attempts at goal is just what we need.
  21. HT 1-0 FT 1-1 ICT Mckay PT Graham Crowd 1798 Yellow Deas
  22. Alloa @ 2.10 please.
  23. Agreed. I’d have taken off one of the front three, probably Sutherland.

    TV Games

Two of our only four wins since the end of September have been our TV games. If we keep winning them and failing to win our other games, what does that tell us about the motivation of our players?
  25. Coll Donaldson scored for Dunfermline today. In the Highland League, Ali Sutherland for Brora, Andy MacAskill for Buckie and Kevin McHattie for Brechin.
