  1. Disappointed, but we have hope for the future. After our good start, Croatia outclassed us and the score could have been a lot worse. I was resigned to it before kick off, and it was better to know long before the end that we were going out rather than going out by losing a late goal. Croatia were written off, but they could go far in the tournament. It is the Czech game that did for us, and our inability to score in what was otherwise an even game.
  2. 40 minutes to kick off. Excitement building. Can we do it? I really hope so! Come on Scotland!!
  3. Had a dig around the Scottish Government website. This link, updated last week, implies the 2000 capacity will apply once we hit Level 0: https://www.gov.scot/publications/coronavirus-covid-19-calculating-physical-distancing-capacity-in-public-settings/pages/events/
  4. Thanks, hopefully those involved will be able to give updates on here.
  5. Is it possible for others to become involved? What does it mean, if anything, for the Supporters Trust?
  6. The First Minister has announced we should move to Level 0 on 19 July, nicely in time for the league season but not in time for our home cup games, although I doubt there will be large numbers wanting to attend them. They then hope to lift most other restrictions on 9 August. It is not clear from what she said whether that means we can return to full capacity or not. Hopefully the club can announce what it means once they have digested it, so we all understand the position and those holding off buying season tickets can make their decision.
  7. Hopefully the club has. Based on the 300 at the Dundee game, more than 1000 could be easily achieved.
  8. No, there are still restrictions. In terms of events, capacity limits remain but they are not defined in detail here: https://www.gov.scot/publications/coronavirus-covid-19-protection-levels/pages/protection-level-0/ We are due to hear today about “life after Level 0”, including what social distancing, masks etc will still be required.
  9. Whilst tonight’s games are not quite finished, tomorrow’s task is now clear: win and we qualify, draw or lose and we are out. I am delighted Denmark managed to get to second in their group after the trauma of their first game.
  10. You can renew over the phone, so that may be an option for you if you are away at present. With something as important as this, I’d have thought the club would have highlighted it when they released details of the season tickets. Had it not been for the post here by RiG, I’d have been unaware of it.
  11. I get the impression that they are confident that 1000 will be allowed in as we are in Level 1. Entirely up to you, but my inclination would be to buy one now. You also benefit from the discounted rate.
  12. The arithmetic is getting easier. As things stand, a 2-0 win will see us having a better goal difference than Switzerland and being a point ahead of Ukraine, so we will be one of the four best third placed teams. If either Finland or Russia lose tonight, the third placed team in their group will have three points, so we will just need to win, and won’t need to worry about goal difference. Thag makes it sound easy, but we are Scotland…… As always, I will be watching in hope rather than expectation. Come on Scotland!!
  13. Mount and Chigwell are self isolating as a precaution as they were seen hugging and congratulating Gilmour at full time. I really hope we don’t lose other players for tomorrow’s game, but find it hard to believe there are no close contacts in the squad.
  14. Renewed mine today. Speaking to the lady in the shop, there have been a lot of renewals but still below 1000. She said that as I was one of the first 1000, I’d be guaranteed to get into the league games. I got the impression there may not be allocated seats until capacity restrictions are lifted, but seats will be marked to show which ones are in use. Therefore effectively first come first served on the day for picking seats.
  15. But with a better ending where we actually qualify for the latter stages!
  16. It’s harsh to blame him for our defeat. Yes, it was not his best Scotland performance, but he did show one great piece of skill when he beat two defenders to get to the box, only for O’Donnell to get in his way. Others underperformed too, but overall the only difference between the teams was their ability to score and our inability to score. Hopefully it does not put clubs off taking him whilst he is still under contract at Celtic, and I agree it is time he moved onto a new challenge.
  17. What a player. He gives us hope for the future. We’ve quite a young squad who will learn from this experience and hopefully get us to more finals. 23 years has been a long time. Hopefully this becomes a regular event again. We also need to credit Steve Clarke. That was a brave selection, with Gilmour starting, two strikers and McTominay at the back, but it worked. I’ve lived through the pain of the disappointments at major finals with Scotland. I really hope Tuesday is different and we win the game. Come on Scotland!!
  18. I was dreading the game but really enjoyed it. What a performance by our underdogs. We matched the English multimillionaires across the park and could have won it, but I will take that point. We can dream about beating Croatia on Tuesday and getting to the last 16. Well done to all the players.
  19. I really hope we can get a win or even a draw. It’s going to be a tough watch, I fear. I had hoped the Czechs would win this afternoon, but it remains within our own control, particularly if we can get something tonight. Come on Scotland!!
  20. There’s a very good discount for 16 to 25 year olds. Scroll down to the end of the article in the link: https://ictfc.com/2021-22-season-tickets
  21. I agree. Mckay and Gardyne will hopefully want to prove a point and show that they are still players who aspire to be in the top league…..with us!
  22. I’m really happy with how the squad is taking shape. We now have a few weeks to complete the picture (couple of defenders required in my opinion, and a goalie if MacKay does not stay), and get them to gel in terms of shape and tactics. Hopefully we are ready for 13 July for the cup ties and flying by the time the league starts on 31 July. We are probably more optimistic in June than we have been for some seasons. Let’s hope this is the year we get back up!
  23. I’m pleased for Tremarco that he’s got a role after retiring from playing, and I’m sure he will do well. Just a shame we didn’t have a role for him in our set up.
  24. He’s just 19 and made one appearance off the bench for Norwich. Anyone know if he is a holding or attacking midfield player? I’m greatly encouraged by recent activity. We can really count McDonald as a new signing, so we have McDonald, Walsh, McAlear, Billy Mckay and Duku to add to last year’s team, with Toshney, Brad Mckay, McHattie, Vincent, Mackay, Keatings, Todorov and (presumably) Storey away. Assuming Doran and Cammy MacKay stay, a couple of defenders are needed to complete what is looking like a pretty decent squad.
  25. You mean Gardyne?
