  1. Bossing it so far. Need to get a goal whilst on top. Raith Rovers time wasting already.
  2. What was Welsh booked for? Something in the afters after the challenge on Toddy?
  3. Raith down to 10. But of brutality on Toddy. Hopefully we do better than we did when Morton went down to 10.
  4. We’ve made a faster start than Friday and have hit the woodwork already!
  5. Yes, no replays this season.
  6. There is a livestream next Tuesday for the cup game: https://ictfc.com/fixture-info-buckie-thistle-a
  7. To those critical of MacGregor, look at the skill before he passed to Carson to set up Welsh’s header off the bar. Give the kid a break!
  8. Billy Mckay scored for County today in their defeat by Hibs. Jordan White was credited with the assist.
  9. Today’s results have largely gone our way with Morton, Ayr and Arbroath all losing. Alloa won against 9 men Queen of the South. We have gone up two places this weekend so things could have gone a lot worse for us.
  10. I agree. It refers to being for the time we are without Robbo and Kells. It gets our back room staff back to full strength, so I support the move.
  11. I’ve said it before, but we seem to raise our game on tv. 5 points from 3 league games is better than our average return and it includes games against the top two in the league as it stands. The challenge for the management team and players is very simple: find a way of playing at that level when not on tv. If we do that, we will have a decent run in. I thought we were going 3 5 2 before kick off, which worried me as there were no obvious wing backs in the line up. But we reverted to the trusted 4 2 3 1 and it worked well once the team settled. The other noticeable change from the last few games was that we did not try to pass it out from the back all the time. We had 6 players missing (Toshney, Harper, Vincent, Doran, Storey and McDonald), and I assume Duffy had a knock. We also had Carson, Deas, MacGregor, Sutherland and, arguably, Mackay all playing out of position. Yes we could and should have won, but well done to the 11 on the park and, if he changed the tactics back to what suits us best or spotted that Carson was the man to neutralise Kennedy, well done to McCann too.
  12. But 6 of those were off target! We had 9 attempts, 3 on target according to the BBC. Raith had 1 on target out of 7 attempts. 20 minutes in I’d have taken a point but I feel we should have won that. However, if we maintain that level of performance and commitment, we should climb the table. I think the criticism by some of MacGregor and Mackay is harsh. MacGregor had a good first half, despite his missed chance which stemmed from Mackay, whilst I felt Mackay grew into the game despite not being a natural winger These guys, and the likes of Harper and the youngsters on the bench, are our future so we should be supporting and encouraging them. Don’t give them the same grief Polworth got on here.
  13. I was really impressed with Sutherland in the “Keatings role”. Noting the comments of others, can Keatings play wide left?
  14. McCann came across well in his interview. Clear we are struggling for fit players and there is little training taking place. Hopefully we have some back on Tuesday and get at least as good a performance and maybe even a win!
  15. We didn’t miss Keatings tonight in my opinion. I think the rest grew in confidence after the first 20.
  16. Agreed on both. Sutherland doesn’t lose the ball and tries to get a pass away. Maybe the centre of the three off the striker is his best position.
  17. Carson summed it up nicely in his MOM interview. He said we should have won but a lot of positives for us, but far too many draws.
  18. Other than the first 20 minutes, we were the better team. We could, and should, have scored, and I’m disappointed we didn’t win, although early on we looked in for a doing. Interesting we were back at 4 2 3 1 and not playing out from the back. That improved us. I am more confident that if we show the same effort and application we can move towards safety. It won’t be easy but at least we moved up to 7th tonight. If we can maintain the level of performance and get the goals we need, hopefully we can kick on.
  19. I know there’s a tense three minutes ahead, but we can’t fault the commitment or effort of the players tonight. Carson deservedly Man of the Match.
  20. Not sure tonight’s the night. We need points.
  21. Mackay booked. Revenge for the sore one he took a moment earlier?
  22. Not sure when his contract is up, but if it is this summer we should get him signed up now. If we had 11 like him we’d be well up the league! But book him in for the first available haircut after lockdown!
  23. Like Carson putting Kennedy in his place for going down too easily.
